New from White River Knives is what they’re calling a “clever camp cleaver.” Inspired by knives made at the turn of the 20th century, this all-in-one hunting knife is a head-turner.
The cleaver has an overall length of 10.25 inches and a blade length of 5.5 inches. That puts it right in that Goldilocks zone of being not too big, not too small but just right.
Skinny, slicing, chopping, this knife will excel at any task, says White River president John Cammenga.
“Our Bushcraft team designed this knife for the myriad of duties it can fulfill in the camp or field,” said Cammenga in a press release. “This combination of blade curve, thickness and bevel shape, together with the ergonomically designed handle, make this a highly-versatile and efficient knife.”
- Blade length: 5.5-inches
- Blade thickness: 0.156-inch
- Overall length:10.25-inches
- Weight: 9.2 Oz.
- Sheath: Heavy Duty Leather
- MSRP: $230.00
The stone-washed blade is constructed from top-of-the-line S35VN steel. It sharpens easy, holds its edge and will last for generations. Handles are formed from linen Micarta, a go-to material for blade makers due to its near indestructibility.
In addition to the full-tang cleaver, purchasers will receive a handmade leather sheath. So, a high-quality, 10-inch knife and leather sheath for $230. Not a bad deal at all.
