Prepping 101: The Biggest Scam in the History of Mankind

Authors Paul Helinski Prepping 101

After “winning” the midterm election in November, I think a lot of people who were about to take the leap into preparing for any kind of imminent collapse got lazy. I just took a trip to the Northeast US, and couldn’t believe how asleep the general population is up there to what is going on in the world around them. At Logon Airport, Boston, I encountered one of their State Troopers, who you would swear was intentionally dressed in a costume of a Nazi SS trooper, and who was sporting, right there in the airport, a front slung suppressed MP5 with a double pancake mag in it. His hand was on the grip and his finger was across the trigger guard. Yet nobody but me seemed to be bothered by such a thing.

The elections meant nothing. Don’t forget it was none other than Ronald Reagan as California Governor who signed was what was one of the first statewide bans of open carry of firearms. We are sinking deeper and deeper into a police state where war is something that is always going on and where freedoms are treated as courtesies from the ruling power, not G-d given rights. Remember when it was the liberal moonbats who were protesting banker wars and chrony capitalism? Remember pointing fingers at the people who questioned the Patriot Act?

Constitutionalists today don’t protest that often. We have busy lives and have too many responsibilities, and this is something of what sets us apart from the mentally lazy leftist protesters of days gone by. But even though our lives are busy and pretty fine for most of us right now, don’t be a fool and believe that we are going to get out of this mess unscathed. Please take the time to read this column from the beginning, and start taking actions now. It may not be in 2015! That’s the great news. But a collapse, WWIII, or something that will reorganize our quality of life is coming at some point soon…because it has to.

This Part 4 documentary has almost 3,000,000 plays on Youtube. Parts 1,2, 3 and 5 are also worth watching to gain a worldwide historical perspective of currencies, but if you only have time for one, this is the one to start with (The others are below). If you have never taken the time to understand where our currency (and the numbers on the screen) come from, please take the time to learn it now. This documentary also explains where our taxes go, and how we are all being scammed. The guy who makes these, Mike Maloney, is the owner of GoldSilver.com, and sells gold and silver, but don’t let that corrupt your judgement to sit and pay attention. Nearly everyone in the gun industry, including yours truly, was just a gun enthusiast until our enthusiasm made us decide to get involved in the business. It is the same with Maloney. This is a really smart dude who has made really the best video on the subject to date. Your time is worth it. A collapse has to come now. Take it seriously and be ready. Ten years early is better than one day late.

Just casually make mention of God or G-D and watch all the God haters start getting upset and totally diverge from the subject being discussed. Get a life people.

  • Greg February 23, 2015, 9:40 am

lol, seriously its amazing how people can go on about such topics; no wonder things cannot get done, lol…

I’ve been reading through the comments on this article for a long while, and I have constantly wanted to post a reply to a large amount of the comments. But this simple little thing says it all. It is vey unfortunate that there is really so little hope in the general public to understand the matters we face, that there is very little reason to say anything at all. I was moved by many of the comments on this article. Hell, I was moved by the article and related videos almost as much. But seeing what the unpublished authors and “regular folk” have to say really gets me going. There are a lot of people here that I would not get along with very well, and a lot that wouldn’t get along with me. But regardless, until the people fighting for 2nd amendment rights and the pro choice advocates realize they are fighting for the same thing, and start working together, we have no hope in building this amazing nation back up to how it began.

We all are and have been duped . We must look at our current situation and the imposter that occupies our white house . Regardless of what political party you align yourself with we must all fully understand that we are all Americans first. It is going to unfortunately take a significant change in our understanding of this and the real appreciation of what it truly means to be free and American before we ever elect such an incompetent person to such an unbelievable position of power and responsibility . We the people are ultimately to blame. As real Americans we must take our message of real change to our fellow citizens . We must follow the only thing that made this country the greatest power the world has ever known, that is the constitution of the United States of America. Unlike the current imposter that currently occupies Our white house. It is the total disregard by our current celebrity and chief in his interpretation of this most treasured document that has not only changed this country but has changed the world for the worse in six and a half miserable years. This is where the core of all our problems begin and end. Its not to late . Unfortunately we have two more years of misery to deal with. We must learn from our mistakes and never ever elect such an un tested unqualified person to the most important job in the world. The future of this country and the world depend on it . and that is the simple facts of life. If anyone doubts what I am stating than just ask yourself this simple question, at our current rate, can we survive on the same course ? The answer is a definite No. We must demand that our next president follow our constitution to the letter . Then and only then will we the people resume the freedoms, peace, liberty and the true pursuit of happiness that so many before us, and currently have sacrificed everything for.

A lot of folks here saying precious metals are not money. Any of you know what a dollar is? I’ll give you a hint it’s specifically enumerated in the coinage act of 1792……..371.25 grains of silver . 10 dollars would make up the value of one gold eagle. A ratio of 1:15 (1 oz gold to 15oz silver) the historical average of which the two have been brought up out of the earth.

  • Dave February 3, 2015, 7:48 pm

Let’s see……the S has HTF. We’re both hungry. You have a silver dollar. I have a can of Progresso soup. What are the chances I want to trade?

    • rollen February 4, 2015, 11:25 am

A man would split the can , forge on and work together to get to a place where barter was a practical matter. Only a fool would stick to his selfish ways in a time of dire need (like only having a can of soup) . Plus are you so blind you would carry a trucks worth of soup on your back vs something you could trade back and forth for soup?

Am I the only one who noticed that the hyphen key is directly in diagonal line with the O key in proper typing form and that it may have been a typo just as I have seen on many of these posts in the spelling of words? Y’all need to chill and respect one another and realize we patriots are all in this together, division is what the government wants via speech, religion, race, creed and so on! Take a step back and look what one typo did to a whole group of people on a sight that should be pulling us together with knowledge and research information. BTW, thanks Guns America for the great articles and gun reviews, love your site!

This is exactly where the scoundrels want us. In the pen fighting over G-d or GOD or who sleeps with who while they loot us blind. Wake up. G-d probably doesn’t care given all the attention he gets already. We might better start paying attention to how we get along on this here rock.

  • Prepper69 February 2, 2015, 9:27 pm

Is that all you people got out of that whole article????????? Is whether or not he was making a religious comment. ?
Even if he was it is his right to write or speak however he decides. It is our constitutional right, called FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
Or maybe you agree with the Government to take this right away as well as others they don’t want us to have.

RE: “one of their State Troopers, who you would swear was intentionally dressed in a costume of a Nazi SS trooper.” Are you really surprised about this? Have you not seen “Thelma and Louise?”
As for King Ferdinand’s comment “I have a skill the need for which will survive after the SHTF.” if you don’t agree with him, read “Farnham’s Freehold” by Robert Heinlein; in fact, just the last few sentences should convince you.

Please stop putting an imaginary sky being into your writings. Believing in an imaginary being that harbors no proof is sort of like saying the dragon fairy is real. A God is a man made tool to control the ignorant and scared and a safety measure for those who need a manner in which to make sense of things that have none. I personally feel it’s a mental disorder. Grow up.

    • Dan February 3, 2015, 8:30 pm

Scott, you obviously are not a Christian. It is your right to believe or not to believe whatever you want to. I am sure it would be appreciated by everyone if you would not show this type of disrespect to those that do believe in God. It just shows your own lack of maturity.

  • Jimmyjames February 2, 2015, 4:16 pm

Oh Brother…”the worlds biggest banks own the US Federal Reserve.”? Believe what you want to and buy what you want to but if the S really does HTF…the only hard currency will be bullets. Food, drugs & alcohol, sex, clothes and shelter will be barter. All the prepping supplies will be exhausted in a year or less and then things will really get interesting. I’m too old to care or worry about it and I got plenty of bullets.

  • Josh February 2, 2015, 1:35 pm

I’m a little astounded that the debate about this article has been hung up on a semantics issue rather than the content of this article and these videos.
The maker of the video series make a huge number of assertions, some of which I’m familiar with and others that are new.

Why are we not debating whether or not his information is correct, properly described, and actionable??? Has anyone fact-checked this man, his arguments, and the conclusions??? THAT is what we should be talking about, not the author’s religious treatment of a word!!!

Water, Shelter, Food then Security in that order. Metals will be useless. I learned Homeopathy and have collected many remedies. I am stockpiling meats and other canned or dry goods. I am close to water. Property is paid for. Switching to propane.
Solar panels and battery bank. Learned canning food with pressure cooker. Self defense: targetfocustraining.com (TFT). Buying ammo now while cheap. Have fallout protection (nbc suit/mask) and detectors. I can feel this coming and have been preppin for over 5 years. I don’t need to watch the videos. The world is collapsing in front of my eyes and no one around me wants to admit it. I am shunned when I talk about it.

If I weren’t too far down the road of disability and age I’d be doing the same.
As it is I’m prepared for short term natural disaster events such as the four hurricanes we dealt with in the last decade coming in a thirty day span.
The big stores were empty of supplies the day before storm number one and it took a week and a half for regular supplies to return to normal.
I can only last till the pain meds run out but my extended family has access to whats left after i’m gone.
      Keep up the forward thinking.

I realize Florida is the best place to live if you need pain meds to get by. Does anyone know the next best state to live in where pain meds are readily available to a disabled person with history of injury and taking pain meds?

I have to agree that the sight of police wearing military outfits is:
Scary and an indication they wallow in an authoritative nirvana. But wearing such outfits and carrying assault rifles while hiding behind trees and armored vehicles on camera at Virginia Tech at the same time that the madman roams freely from room-to-room blasting away at helpless students with a handgun makes them look ridiculous and shows the Nazi-style uniforms don’t make them courageous.

  • BRASS February 2, 2015, 12:25 pm

I find it interesting that commenters on this article ignore the true content of the article, the central message being conveyed and waste time on grammar and completely trumped up, unrelated or intended theological concerns.

  • Mason Hamilton February 2, 2015, 11:40 am

I’m always amused by people who: 1. really haven’t thought out what a total collapse means, and 2. don’t understand that gold is just as much a fiat currency as paper or any other non-functional asset. Gold is nearly totally useless in survival situation.

Under a nation wide and or global complete collapse – the primary focus will on barter exchange of essential life supporting commodities – food, ammunition, weapons, medicine (anti-biotics, pain relievers and medical professional services), fire starters, solar panels and wind generators, rechargeable batteries (for a relatively short while), basic hand tools, cordage and fasteners, etc. and generally in that order of value. Gold will be a long time – if ever again having any serious value as an exchange medium. Consider how much gold will be devalued because of its relative increased availability after 80-90% (remember that 95% of the gold ever mined over the last 6000 years is still in circulation) of the current population dies off – leaving all their gold behind – and still useless.

The surviving (best) scavengers will be far more focused on obtaining items necessary for their immediate day-to-day survival than hording around shinny metal. Things like .22 LR cartridges, nails, screws and matches will the coinage of this future collapse scavenger realm. The precious metal of the collapsed future will be lead and stainless steel, not gold. Functionality will completely determine value – just as it once did. The curse of “living in interesting times” – is upon us.

Gold and silver are money. They represent work. Work has value. Thousands of years this has held true. That’s why just about anytime in history around the world they were good for barter. Yes you cannot eat precious metals but on the same token you can’t store wealth in turnips very well either. Spend less time typing. Build real skills, real friends, and real wealth.
In history a 1/10th ounce of silver was about a days pay. 1000 ounces of silver represents 10,0000 days of work or 30 years. Stack a million calories and have a trade you can make a great life after Rome falls

    • Sammy September 26, 2016, 9:57 am

Actually Gold and Silver have a Very useful side as anti microbial s- colloidal silver and gold has been used for ages– Gold is even higher than silver in stopping germs and infections.
This is why (silver)ware was used for centuries and gold was used for same thing by people with more wealth.

Our Constitutional rights are not bestowed upon us by some arbitrary god. We have a natural right to self defense as observed in the state of nature. Our rights are recognized by men. Not granted to us by some imaginary abstract god. Attaching some god to them does not make it any more important.

This is a good set of videos. Its amazing how people are getting dumbed down by TV, even the “prepper” programs are designed to make people think preppers are crazy or worse. This country was indeed not founded on G-D, there is no mention of him in the Constitution or Bill of Rights. In fact do your research on the Pledge of Allegiance G-D wasn’t added until the 40s.

    • Mike W February 3, 2015, 9:57 pm

Have you not read the Declaration of Independence? Our nation was most certainly founded on Judea-Christian principles as our founders were men of such values. “Under God” was added to the pledge in 1954.

  • Jay February 2, 2015, 8:52 am

I understand the point of some balking at the G-d thing but we must remember, this Country was founded by a belief in a God, a supreme power that in the end we all answer too for how we treated our fellow man. Many think that being a christian or being someone who believes in a higher power somehow makes one weak, quite the contrary! Those that believe they will answer to a higher power know, those that are stronger and have the ability to protect those weaker than themselves, also take a no problem stance when it comes to actually doing it with what ever force necessary for the circumstance! Freedoms have never been Free, freedoms come with the highest price of all, human life! We also have to look at the bigger picture when we think of government, they use to represent those who grant them their existence, We The People. This is a misnomer anymore, as government only represents itself and those who pad the officials pockets and do their bidding. We can call them republican, democrat, tea party what ever you wish but in the end their is really no difference the only real political party is, government. Every passing day we lose more rights little by little, executive order by executive order, laws and bills passed for one reason but chocked full of little bits of rights taken away within it’s many pages, which no one in government even cares to read much less take the time to change for the benefit of the people they are suppose to serve! Those in government live in their self made shielded existence, in which laws passed for the people, they grant themselves exemptions from and they only apply to us peons. Our fore fathers were so wise by comparison to todays standards of common sense, there really is No Comparison. Our government of today is made up of full blown psychopaths with a ticket to ride whatever smoke and mirror screen they can sell Joe Blow public on, to distract them from the fact that a collapse is indeed near so lets keep the peons occupied with matters of war, race and other political jargon while we the government prepare and are ready to take over! It’s the oldest ploys on record, distract, divide and conquer! While I am not anti government so to speak I am a full blown defender of the corner stone of our existence, the constitution and a veteran who served for one reason and that was to protect our, Freedoms and our, my America! I am not alone, as many past veterans understand that one day that call may come in which the tree of liberty will have to watered, at whatever cost, as America is the only last vestige of any kind of Freedoms in the world! If America is lost, then so has the rest of the world!

  • Abdullah Mikail February 2, 2015, 8:21 am

Written language is just the conveyence of thought and, hopefully accurate, meaning. So, no matter how you write the name you’ve named whatever it is you are writing of…so, if it’s a hyphen or x or dash or whatever …it really doesn’t matter…you’ve written it and you know what it means as does everyone who reads it…so, in trying to avoid a perceived sin on your part you’ve actually done what you sought to avoid. It is better to understand that God judges your actions by your intent…if there is no intent for disrespect then there will be none held against you. Life is a God given right, but so is death…what we choose to do between those two extremes is the measure the man. Don’t be timid in your defense of first and second amendment rights, and don’t be shy to call on God for aid in that respect … God is the only help, but we still must pick up the tools and do our work towards the goal. Whether we reach it is up to God.

  • Joe February 2, 2015, 7:57 am

Invest in a transferable trade, I did and it fed and clothed me for forty years,
You should stock enough food and water to get through the first month of a natural disaster.
Survival prepping is a lifestyle best played by those with a long way to go on life’s journey.
I’m not a spring chicken any more and investment in precious metals is not a viable option for me and a large portion of today’s aging population living on a tight budget.
Be prepared to defend what you hold dear and may the powers that run the universe be by your side.

    • Bigmag47 February 2, 2015, 9:20 am

I`m no young chicken either. I`m 57 and on permanent disability, yet I still put forth a small amount every month in silver. Investment doesn`t have to mean “a ton of money” Prepping doesn`t necessarily mean changing your entire lifestyle , or planning to save 5 years worth of rations either. You can invest in metals and food according to YOUR budget for the amount of time you believe it will be needed for. I am however, glad I started a couple of years ago, and wish I`d have started sooner.
I do think 1 month is a little short sided if your belief is that of an economic collapse rather than a “natural disaster” which is a whole different ball game. You do make a valid point, although I believe these articles are more about the pending economic collapse and eventual recovery, which I`m sure will last much longer than 1 month. Surely there will be natural disasters in the future, but my main concern is the imminent crash of the U.S. dollar as the worlds currency. I believe this is no more than 1 year away at best. My main reason for forgoing weekend trips, and eating out in exchange for prepping supplies and silver isn`t because I think I will live 20 more years (which would be nice), but rather to ensure the existence of my 3 sons and 5 grandchildren, which, if I raised them right, will survive the impending collapse of this once great nation, and to help rebuild it.

      • King Ferdinand II of Argon February 2, 2015, 12:09 pm

Why would you want to buy precious metals? I have a skill the need for which will survive after the SHTF. If you need that skill and all you have is gold or silver, I’m probably going to have to put you at the back of the line. You can’t eat metals, you can’t use them for any utilitarian purpose and you have to either pack them around with you all the time or pay someone to guard them. Theoretically, payment in metals would be the last thing I would consider.

Right now, we are playing a game with the government & they make the rules and changes them if they think any advantage is accruing to the public. The economic system, as we know it is, probably, one of the worst in history. Other than the constitution, our government is corrupt and moribund. Undoubtedly, parts of the country will split off–probably according to the preponderances of resources. So, why would you want to bring back the current economic or political system? It doesn’t work. In fact, the only way to survive is to STOP PLAYING THE GOVERNMENT’S GAME. Then the government becomes irrelevant, even now.

Any kind of society-ending “natural disaster” would have to be of Biblical proportions–like the eruption of the Yellowstone caldera.

The sad thing is that there are so many of us who will never recover from the stuporbowl and pay attention to what should be mind blowing realizations like this documentary. Sometimes the distractors are actually government shills, but these are I am afraid just prozac infused sleep.

  • Roy L.Roberts February 2, 2015, 7:42 am

I’m hearing that in 2016 we’ll hit the point in this world where 1% of the population will have as much as the other 99%. I thought we agreed to draw the line where we’d actually do something about it at 2% / 98%. Did I miss a meeting?

    • King Ferdinand II or Argon February 2, 2015, 11:44 am

At some tipping point, currency will become pointless. The 1% may cling to the 1’s & 0’s in their computers, but they will mean nothing to anyone but them. Alternative ways of commerce will arise-barter, Bitcoin, something. When the 1% can no longer create credit. Why do you think they are so afraid of legitimate uses of Bitcoin? Because they can’t use it to create credit, manipulate it, etc like they can the dollar. It is a truly democratic currency. (Which, unfortunately, has become associated with Silk Road, which may prevent it from becoming a viable currency in the eyes of the public.)

When designed the federal reserve bank had serious problems that the founders choose to ignore. It was designed to fail. And when it does, so fails the fiat currency that it issues. Then the economies of countries with fiat based currencies, esp the US, will fail. then the governments.

  • Burt February 2, 2015, 6:51 am

Not writing G-d’s name is not an issue of pc. It is an issue of respect — for G-d.

      • andie February 2, 2015, 1:48 pm

God is a title, not a name. having said that God does have a name, his name is Jehovah, and he would like for people to use his name to differentiate him from other gods.

    • rbrittne February 2, 2015, 7:35 am

Yeah….I was wondering the same thing……. I know jews do that out of respect for Gods name…..but why did you do it???

      • Administrator February 2, 2015, 7:38 am

It is actually because it is forbidden to erase G-d’s name, in any language, so putting a representation on the screen that will be scrolled, ie, erased, is just a version of that that is easy to not do.

        • davud February 2, 2015, 11:38 am

** It is actually because it is forbidden to erase G-d’s name, **
sounds like the jihadi bullsh*t that forbids visual representation of mohammad. fundies of any stripe are not to be trusted.

          • Doc Loch February 2, 2015, 1:07 pm

Be careful with your history and “jihadi bullsh*t”. We may not be muslims, but if you are a bible believing christian our scriptures overlap more than you are apparently aware of. Know yourself, know your enemy. Don’t be fooled by yourself and you won’t be fooled by your enemy. Above all beware of propaganda and please don’t be so naive that you don’t test everything and take all with a grain of salt.

        Duh, because he IS jewish.

Judaism does not prohibit the writing the word of God. It prohibits erasing or defacing the word of God. As a result, some Jews do not write the name of God out of fear that it will be defaced. NOT, specifically, because of respect, although I believe the respect the Lord’s name. Moreover, this applies only to permanent writings of God’s names–ex.: like carved into stone. Text on a computer screen is not permanent and removing it does not constitute ‘erasure.’ This practice is not dictated by scripture, it is customary.

In addition, Jews, use many different names for God: The most important is the acronym of Yod-Hei-Vav-Hei–YHVH; Yehoshua; Eliyahu; Halleluyah; etc depending on what kind of relationship with God is being referenced and more subtle meanings.

If there are any of the Hebrew faith, please excuse any mistakes I made. I’d appreciate it if you would correct me.

I’m just not quite sure why we have to keep going on something that was a distraction from a moron? America is so sunk.

YES!!! I was having fun reading the remarks but this one was THE BEST! Get Over It, get on board, or get OFF. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA needs direction and hopefully, with these videos, we can PLAN for the future.

Some Christians do that because they believe it shows the ultimate respect for the Lord. Israel did the same thing,
      You guys are an embarrassment.

It is not a censorship of “God”. It is pronounced “gee dee” and is a shortened, respectful’ish way of saying “God-damn”. As in, “I want a G-d twinkie!”

        Goddam given rights? huh?

If you are Jewish you abbreviate that way out of respect for God, not out of any political correctness.

I agree “God-given rights”. I’m so happy to see so many Christians on this site. If and when it all goes amiss. I’m not worried. The best thing to happen is I will die and go to heaven. Until that happens I will continue to grow vegetables to eat and sell to my neighbors. If needed when the time comes I will protect everything from evil with my Christian neighbors and our rifles. May God bless you and yours.

The amazing thing is how easily and quickly the conversation was hijacked from something of substance- our rights and the continuing governmental infringement on those rights- to a somewhat petty argument about a religious affectation. Wake up people, and focus on the big picture. Don’t allow yourselves to be divided! Stop “majoring on the minors”!

G-d is the jewish way of spelling god in the Old Testament, it was a form holiness to not spell or say his name as if it was something ordinary, something I do almost everyday when I blaspheme his name.
