Prepping 101: Lessons from Planet of the Apes

Prepping 101

This movie is decidedly pro-ARM YOURSELF FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! So please arm yourself for Heaven's sake!

This movie is decidedly pro-ARM YOURSELF FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE! So please arm yourself for Heaven’s sake!

SPOILER ALERT! I am not trying to reveal the details of the movie, but inevitably some will come out, though not much more than is in the trailer.

I just got home from “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” (trailer below), and it was nothing like I expected. This was due in part to an article on InfoWars suggesting that the movie had a subtle anti-gun message. Those of you who are regulars here know that I have been critical of Alex Jones and his team in the past over 2nd Amendment issues because they seem to make them into a joke. Never on Infowars these days will you see interviews with John Lott or smart NRA commentators. After Sandy Hook we got a circus of a petition to deport an anti-gun CNN host from Alex Jones, and this week in the run up to the new Planet of the Apes they released a sloppy opinion that somehow this very pro-gun movie is actually anti-gun.

The premise of the new ‘Apes movie goes back to the original Planet of the Apes films, the first of which landed in 1968, and stared non other than Charlton Heston. If you saw the original, at the end they discovered that man had pre-dated apes, finding the head from the Statue of Liberty on the beach.

This new series ended its last installment with a new disease that would wipe out humans, and that created super smart apes. This was how they jumped over the whole issue of “evolution” and the implication from the original movies that apes had somehow evolved from man.

In this movie, we find that the disease has wiped out most of humanity, and that is where things get dicey from a Prepping 101 perspective. It highlights the message we have said over and over in this Prepping series. Start doing something now.

Ten years early is better than one day late. (it won’t be ten years early have no doubt)

Our lives and lifestyles are so fragile, and it is very easy to take for granted that just because everything has been fine until now, everything will be fine into the future. The stock market is hitting all time highs. Missiles flying in Israel don’t seem to be raising the price of gas. Real estate is doing great, the Fed just announced that it will be ending their bond buying, and we can even get ammo right now.

Does all of that sound fishy to you? Well it should. Our national debt has doubled since 2008 to levels that can never be paid back. If you check the real numbers on the economy, it never did recover and it is back in a tailspin. The stock market is clearly a bubble because consumer spending is in the doghouse, and has only been sinking. This represents 70% of our GDP, or all of the money that is spent in the entire country in a year. Real unemployment is most likely approaching 30%, and workforce participation is the lowest since the 70s. China, Russia, and most other nations are maneuvering away from the dollar. Out of nowhere our border is being overrun by immigrants from all over the world. Every week our government appears to be advertising a new war that we must get involved with. Our police forces have been militarized against us.

Even real estate is a fraud. Fifty percent of home sales this past year were cash deals. The homes were bought by banks and foreign interests, trying to trade some of their soon to be worthless dollars for hard assets.

Our traditional news media is dark on all of this. They are busy trying to explain away the suspicious and suicide deaths of over 40 executives from the world’s largest banks. The government is making secret plans for the imminent eruption of the supervolcano under Yellowstone National Park, and the media just wants to talk about basketball free agents, World Cup soccer, and Kim Kardashian’s butt. There was a 6.8 mag quake under Fukushima Japan this week, where there is, btw, an already melted down nuclear reactor. Somehow Germany trouncing Brazil just lost its spice, did it not? Oh yea, there is also a new Ebola outbreak that is spreading faster than any have in the past.

Where does all of this end? When does it end is a better question, because this Planet of the Apes movie will show you where, regardless of whether it is another shadow government false flag that throws us into chaos, or a H.A.A.R.P. spun natural disaster, or an infectious disease, or little green men from Mars in Illuminati devil tailed Spongebob costumes zapping people with death rayguns that resemble jellyfishing nets. Something is going to happen in an attempt to shift the blame for the financial collapse from the bankers and politicians to someone or something.

When? That is the issue. And will there be any warning at all?

One of the key lines in the movie most people will miss is they say that the people not killed by the actual disease were killed by the “battles.” At first you think this is battles between the apes and man, but then you realize that at this point, the apes are a very small band from the original lab experiment. The battles they speak of are man killing man, for survival. The movies manages to skip over the details of this time in the historical timeline of events, but the characters elude to it quite a bit, and it was a nightmare where a lot of innocents died.

Is this our future? If the banks fall like dominoes due to their addiction to fractional reserve and credit default swaps, and all of a sudden you can’t get your money out of the bank, what are you going to do?

What are you going to do if your city water stops working?

What are you going to do if the supermarket can’t get food and it is dangerous to go outside?

What are you going to do if the gas station can’t pump gas?

The real question: What are you going to do, TODAY, to at least have a shot?

The apes are self sufficient, and one of the characters remarks that this detail gives them an advantage. Put a rifle in their hands, which happens, and the apes become a force that can overrun humans, humans who themselves have a ton of firepower. In the next movie we will expect to see how the apes eventually come to beat the humans completely, setting up the stage for the world of the old movies where man is a slave to his ape master.

One very important point is made in the movie and it is not lost. Had the apes stayed hidden, or even peaceful, and they had not been led into a fight with the humans, they could have thrived side by side. Possible? Who knows.

Important lessons. Self sufficiency. Guns. Don’t seek out a fight.

Please see our entire series on Prepping 101. Prepping isn’t about being a “survivalist” or having a little put away. You have to figure out how to eliminate the need for outside help, for a while. Get your head in the game. Nobody knows when the ticking clock will finally stop.

Guess I’m dead meat. I can do all the “prepping” in the world but it won’t help me. I have too many health issues that require a doctor’s direct care. I’m a diabetic and have medical implants + depend on other meds. So anyone have the answer decides having one of my kids flip my switch?

  • mtman2 December 31, 2014, 10:59 am

Watching the foolishness once or twice and gaining the message that society does stupid things to selfdestuct is clear. But any thinking person knows this already, basically Ape Planet junk is a waste of time except for entertainment for the simple.

But the Miniseries “V” really had an American message that is relevant as to how WE pull together against deceptive and organized takeover of OUR nation(alien-lizard=commies). Then it paralleled the commies; now THEY’RE HERE, among us as “benefactors” silently stealing all OUR resources then OUR souls and to finally take OUR lives. The TEA Party Patriot movement IS the only concerted effort to stand against these imposters that seek to devour us while WE pay for it.

Of course this socialist takeover isn’t knew but began it infection on OUR systems in 1912 with the election of Woodrow Wilson=The FED+IRS, FDR/Truman=SS Bretton Woods U.N. Korea+world communism, JFK/LBJ=Cuba Vietnam Great Society, Carter=Fed Ed.weak Mil., WJC=OBL+terrorism(icing on cake), MAO’bama is the cherry on top; this w/RINO help.

Yes. Humans are inherintly bad, and cannot be trusted.
    The answers obvious.
We must set up a world govt (made up of Humans).
    smh

    • mtman2 December 31, 2014, 11:20 am

“Yes. Humans are inherently bad, and can’t be trusted”

Yup, and the worst of’em have already set that in motion thru the World Bank, Federal Reserve +IMF via the U.N. !
Having set up the two power structures to vie for control while tying each other and the world up while they suck it dry,
having tentacles throughout the civilized world controlling all aspects of it for the final push into THEIR Globalist One World ~!

  • Sam Adamson July 21, 2014, 10:14 am

Doug, your ignorance of “physics” is only topped by your ignorance of thermal dynamics. My Ph.D. is related and you have no idea of what you speak. I have 40 yrs in the field of forensic architectural failure and have forgotten more than you “think” you know.

    • mtman2 December 31, 2014, 11:42 am

The towers “pancaking” for their design makes total sense.
But what answer to questions on #7 explain it then? Logically if it’s built boxed -steel girder style; unless the roof had so much weight on it(if it could) as to put force enough on the underlying structure to cause it to collapse if already weakened; it’d stand.
Somebody should be able to definitively define what occurred, not speculate. As when it is called into question with no real answers, anything can be thrown at it and it’s a circus !

  • Joe G July 21, 2014, 8:44 am

“Smart” NRA commentators? Since when? I am a life member BUT some of “OUR” spokespeople leave plenty to be desired; See Sarah Palin

    • Mark July 23, 2014, 5:19 pm

Joe G, Not sure about where YOU stand with so little to go on. IF you don’t stand with the NRA, then you are on the WRONG side. Sure, not ALL of ANY organization’s spokespeople are “all-wise”, people misspeak all the time, but it’s not hard to ‘see the message’ if you LOOK. AND…if you have a problem WITH Sarah Palin, nobody can help you!

  • Dr. Strangelove July 21, 2014, 5:05 am

I often see “infowars” scrawled on the walls of truck stop toilets between swastikas and for a BJ call… That should be a clue about the show and some of its followers.

  • BobSmith July 21, 2014, 2:54 am

It’s not pro or anti-gun. It’s a movie about apes taking over the world, and it’s *really* just about that. You and Alex Jones are doing the same thing, taking a piece of entertainment and inserting your own agenda into it.

By the way, the reason you shouldn’t listen to Alex Jones is that he’s a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist idiot with the IQ of a stack of pringles. He’s a slobbering moron without one clue about what goes on in the real world, and so is every single window-licker who listens to him.

    • Leadsender July 27, 2014, 4:55 pm

I was just about to say that somehow this conversation has gotten twisted. Some have turned it into politics, the government and personalities instead of the key issue. That key issue being how to survive when and if the stuff hits the fan. I was around when most of the Eastern part of the country had a total black out for several day. I watched people run to the gas station and store cleaning the shelves out of water and food. I have to answer the question why they could not get gas or why the telephone did not work. Well, the pumps and the new phones work off of electricity. Movies like Planet of the Apes or a TV show like The Walking Dead can be used as survival learning tools. That’s what I use the TWD for. When the stuff hits the fan; it is going to be about food, clothing and shelter. It is also going to be about weapons, ammo and having a group of people that you trust who have your back. At this point, I am not talking about being a super prepper. If you live in a northern that gets snow you should have the basics. How about having extra charcoal, a wood pile, propane tanks, camp stove, tent, blankets, fishing poles, canned goods, a garden, etc. I am telling you. There would not be any save cat, dog, rat, rabbit, raccon safe in this area if the stuff hit the fan. It might not be pretty but, I would have survived. That is the point is it not?

    All,
We need to protect our 2nd amendment rights every hour of every day. The Progressives are plotting and putting into action their insidious plan to take away every means of defense and make government all powerful. Alex Jones is just a demented person whom the media love to have on because they think he portrays the 2nd amendment people. He represents the 2nd amendment group about as well as Al Sharpton represents blacks. The only reason he is on is just because he fits the media’s perception of gun owners. They think we are all crazy.
An important part of preping and about the least expensive is education and planning. A two year food supply is useless if you do not know how to store, maintain and prepare it. While the shelf life on most survival foodstuff is long it is not forever. Learn what can spoil and make sure you use a little to rotate the stock. Learn and practice using the camp stove, heater or campfire to prepare the food. Learn the ways to obtain, preserve or make clean water. Learn the different methods of preparing shelter. The internet has a wealth of information, but you must supply the experience. No matter who is giving the advice, if it does not work for you, IT DOES NOT WORK! The only way to find out is by doing.
Like the military have a plan for different scenarios. A ZA plan works for food riots and general society breakdown and is fun to plan and play out. Use the ZA craze to get ready for the real dangers. At the range practice the zombie head shots because if you get that good then you can hit any target area on a human and put them down.

    • Doug July 15, 2014, 4:37 pm

Demented Bobbie. Really? Alex Jones? Have you ever listened to more than a soundbite from the media your watching (MSNBC?), maybe listen to a whole radio broadcast of his next time? If you do you will clearly see he is far from demented. Angry, yep, pissed off, yep. Guilty as charged. I’m sure he’ll agree, and for good reason. We should all be VERY outspoken, pissed off, angry, and voicing it on any platform we get. You, like many judge a person before you’ve really listened to him. You just base your opinion as most on a few soundbites from the media and refuse to do your research. Especially in this case, do your study on the man before you throw out words that prove your ignorance. Please.

  • Doug July 15, 2014, 9:36 am

Chris, learn more about physics as it pertains to 9/11. But even common sense will tell you Building #7 didn’t fall from a few small fires. This will unravel everything you thought you knew about 9/11. Building 7. Just look how hard a bomb has to punch a hole in a building before it falls, for instance, take the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and look at a photo of it. Then get back to me and explain to me what you don’t understand. Buiding 7 was rigged and pulled to go down – Hours after the towers fell, it was a planned demolition, no doubt. Ask the experts, a fire wouldn’t to that construct of building.

Some people just refuse to look deeper.

  • OFBG July 14, 2014, 7:20 pm

Actually, the remake of “Planet of the Apes” starring Marky Mark was truly anti-gun, even though Chuck Heston had a role in it.

  • Pete Schlosser July 14, 2014, 7:16 pm

Anybody read the original novel by Pierre Boulle? There is a great double twist ending (spoiler coming up). The astronauts who find this ‘story in a bottle’ consider it amusing, but impossible; those astronauts are chimpanzees.

  • Chris July 14, 2014, 6:11 pm

Alex Jones is a ‘9/11 Truther’ and thinks the Muslim Jihadist terror attach on September 11th was an inside job. I’m sorry, but when he started spouting that non-sense, I could no longer believe anything he said. I think we in the 2A crown would all be better off if we ignored Alex Jones and spent more time following Gun Owners of America, The National Shooting Sport Foundation and the N.R.A.

    • Administrator July 14, 2014, 8:21 pm

Er, you might want to learn some basic physics before you jump to conclusions. Go them them JIHADISTS einstein!

  • Doug July 14, 2014, 2:14 pm

Russ, Unfortunately you will never feel like you have enough money, guns, ammo or time for this upcoming event (dollar crash), just do the best you can and pray. Know your neighbors and wake people up and most of all take political action, join your local TeaParty, get involved and get others involved — the best way out of this mess is non-violent measures, unless they shoot first (or start the door to door confiscations — of any type).

    • Russ July 14, 2014, 4:37 pm

      Thank you.

  • Russ July 14, 2014, 12:32 pm

    Prep is costly
I’ve had to prioritize since the domestic terrorist took office.
I’m still on guns and ammo but am close to finished.
next is;Water, alternate shelter, survival techniques and supplies.
I don’t feel I have enough money or time.
Family 1st. good luck all, sincerely.

  • cuemaster July 14, 2014, 11:42 am

I enjoyed your take on the current insanity.

  • Jethro4493 July 14, 2014, 10:30 am

Brandon Wagner….you are 110% CORRECT in your thinking. I was a federal government law enforcement officer at Katrina and witnessed the atrocities that our fellow man can do in panic, despair and opportunity. Most of the horrors were committed by thugs and gang members but it wasn’t until later I learned that our own government was seizing weapons from citizens who were trying to protect their families. I am now retired but I spread the message as much as I can; prepare, train, and pray. I love God and country but I am truly concerned about our government and the erosion of our constitutional rights. I continue to prepare my family for the possible worse but I do not dwell nor am I obsessed of the possible negative outcome of the present administration. Deuteronomy 3: 26-28; Matthew 6:34

  • Doug July 14, 2014, 10:25 am

I don’t get it. Over have the male American population knows more about LeBron James or any other sports figure for that matter than the know who their own states congressman is. We need Alex Jones and those brave enough to tell it like it is. Incrementalism is what are taking our gun rights. If you don’t have a few people screaming to wake people up than what will get men off the couch to look and see whats going on around them. God bless Alex and his crew, how can you berate his willingness to be scorned when he sticks out his neck and go on the air to wake the sheeple and the Socialist/Marxist, come on man, don’t you have enough other things to condemn other than another Patriots effort to stop this movement. Pick you battles, I haven’t heard you on the media lately, but Alex sure ruffled feathers. And he did it exactly right. They’ve been warned.

  • Don Tros July 14, 2014, 9:33 am

Hummm. Another Planet of the Apes. Like Zombies, it’s too far fetched for me to spend the time and money to watch.
Interesting comments about Alex Jones. One thing is for sure, he is getting rich doing what he is doing. Can’t hate him for that, but it does show that people are nervous and are expecting more bad things to happen. Will it happen like some are predicting? Not sure anyone knows. However, some major world events are occurring. Israel is fighting some major foes, which isn’t new. What is newish, it that Russia is on the move and no one is really prepared to stop them. We have taken a hands off policy towards almost everything, so the bullies can bully whoever they want. Iran (Persia) is also on the move. Hardly anyone remembers that Persia was a superpower at one time and desires to be again. Persia, Syria, Iraq and Russia are all “buds” and all have something in common. A hated for Israel. Surprised I included Iraq? Well, we spend hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of American lives in Iraq, and in one step, Russia sold Iraq 10 fighter jets to stop the Islamists, while we sat on our hands. Now Russia have a foothold in Iraq. This is all heading somewhere. If I told you where, you wouldn’t believe me, so enjoy!-:)

  • Ringo July 14, 2014, 9:17 am

Yes, the anti-gun subplot was very clear and I do not watch or listen to Alex Jones

  • Ringo July 14, 2014, 9:16 am

To me Alex Jones (outside of being against gun control) is usually on the borderline of insanity and I usually avoid his craziness on YouTube. However, when I say the latest “Planet of the Apes” movie, I did not the undercurrent of the anti-gun crowd in the movie. First of all, the ape smashed the guns (AR-15’s) taken off the five people early in the movie, then sneak into town to witness a couple of guns shooting at targets and go back and warn the ape village that “the humans have guns”. Then the apes go back and steal a few AR-15’s and shoot the leader of the apes(closeup of the AR-15 which did the shooting) and then go back and capture most of the human guns and later defeat the humans at their own game. The message was that if the humans DID NOT HAVE GUNS — the apes would have left them alone in peace (bullsht) and that the reason the apes attacked was because they had possession of the dreaded guns (AR-15’s). Now if that is an anti-gun subplot I do not know what one is.

    • Administrator July 14, 2014, 9:31 am

No, that is the problem with internet advocates. They want to make connections to make themselves sound smart, when no connection is there. The subtle, Hollywood brainwashing is that humans can’t get trusted and are at their core bad. The apes ten go on to also exhibit this behavior, so it plays into the tree hugging dirt worshipper G-dless theology of “progressives.” But in the meantime, what they showed you was that no matter what, those with the guns are in charge. This message will not be lost on anyone who goes to the movie. When the ape smashes the guns, the audience already knows from the previews that eventually the apes learn how to use the guns, and already know that Ceasar is going to be betrayed by his friend. Everyone is meant to, and does say to themselves “don’t smash the guns.”

You can’t make a connection that “bad guns bad guns” is the takeaway from anything these days. Nobody walked out of that movie and thought that if it weren’t for the guns everything would be ok. Having seen both an Ebola and H1N1 story this week at least as a blip in the media, they walked out saying oh shit I really should have a gun. If you talk to people on the street, very few people don’t actually feel that way right now.

    • Early Ray July 14, 2014, 7:38 pm

Anything coming out of the left propaganda machine, Hollywood, is anti-gun, pro-left, lean forward, anti-Christian, anti-family spew.
I am a movie enthusiast, actually a fanatic but have decided a long time ago to boycott movies and actors/actresses with any political agenda, left or right. Sadly there is nothing to watch now. I enjoyed the “Ape” movies but will boycott this sequal if there is an underlying political message.

  • anthony adams July 14, 2014, 7:50 am

Good article and well written. I agree with you 99.9% on all the issues. But for all of those problems, good still exist. The US still has all the food and it will ever need. It has all the resources it takes to survive. A mild climate. People who believe in doing for the good of others. And so while all these problems seem to be on the scaffolding of technology (including media), the worst thing that can happen is that we go back to 1960 if everything fails. Or if even more than that fails, 1900. Life wasn’t so bad then. I don’t believe that it would suddenly without warning become a dog eat dog world. It has never happened in the history of mankind.

    • Brandon Wagner July 14, 2014, 8:48 am

Don’t forget about hurricane Katrina and the aftermath. There was nothing but “dog eat dog”. It’s easy to forget when it doesn’t happen to you. My hometown last year got hit by a huge EF-4 tornado and it opened a lot of eyes. You don’t think it can ever happen to you but it can and will in some way or fashion. Lucky that we had such a great community. But I think the biggest thing that I personally learned is that bad things do happen to good people. You have to be prepared as much as possible. You can’t predict everything. I do my best to prepare and leave the rest to God.

      • Mark July 23, 2014, 4:57 pm

Amen to that. THAT is the only truth…everything else is suspect.

    • BeenThere December 31, 2014, 9:55 am

Really ? What about the Dark Ages , Europe circa 1945 ?

      • mtman2 December 31, 2014, 12:14 pm

Hahahahaha, these guys above are clueless as to just how bad bad can get, ((“never happened before”, “Katrina”)), man’s long dark history past is overflowing with the horror of the in-human experience.
Anthony is correct as to OUR countries potential, but not fast enough with all the urban+suburban areas; tho 3-days no water+food IS a national crisis when a 100-million are desperate anything can happen, esp with inner city well armed gangs.
Certainly Brandon is correct that even here in the U.S. “be prepared” is certainly wise while ‘trusting in God’ for the Providential hand nationally.

  • Gary July 14, 2014, 5:41 am

I used to follow Alex Jones until about 2009 – 2010 when he still had quality guests. These days I think he does a lot more harm than good especially when it comes to the 2nd Amendment. All one has to do is watch the way he went off on the Piers Morgan show following Sandy Hook to see what I mean. Yes the information he conveyed was correct, but the way he carried himself and his usual bluster really made the whole gun community look bad.

Part of what really bothered my about Infowars, and I’m seeing it reflected in this article, is the high degree of fear mongering that was being projected. No, I’m not suggesting that we aren’t experiencing some real and severe problems and that the United States isn’t in deep trouble. We definitely are seeing a slow melt-down of the economy, the early stages of a police state, and a government that constantly lies to us and is no longer accountable to anyone but themselves. However there is a wold of difference between that and many of these “End of the World” predictions that have been going around, especially in the last several years. Now as if Planet Nibiru, the Zombie Apocalypse, 2012, and Half Past Human weren’t bad enough, we’re getting a 60’s era science fiction novel being thrown at us as if the end of humanity and the rise of intelligent apes is a real possibility. Have you guys had your fun yet? Can we get back to the real world please?

That being said, there is a definite wisdom in keeping prudently prepared for life’s real emergencies like hurricanes and civil unrest. This sort of thing happens all the time. Governments and economies come and go all the time. Certainly keeping a couple of months of food, water, essentials, and the means to defend one’s self can never hurt. Anyone who has lived through a natural disaster like I have will understand why this is so.

There is a line however where prudence ends and fantasy begins, and now more than ever it is important to understand the difference. Why? If for no other reason than there are no shortage of hustlers out there all too willing to sell very expensive equipment and supplies along with Tangy Tangerine by the gallon all based upon one’s fears.

    Think about it.

    • Grifhunter July 14, 2014, 10:41 am

Good comment Gary, I totally agree. Also there are life disasters that are more common, almost inevitable. Getting hurt and disabled from your job, premature death of the breadwinner, complete incapacitation or chronic illnesses all need prepping for and should be a priority.

Do you have adequate life insurance? Disability policy? Long Term Nursing Home insurance? Adequate retirement savings? These unfortunate life events are more likely to be in your future than an ape insurrection or zombie apocalypse.

    • Tom July 14, 2014, 2:40 pm

The Bible tells what happens, and it is Not Apes taking over, but Satan, Anti Christ, One world order, and most importantly, A National Sunday Law, Not Saturday Sabbath. That will be the Mark of the Beast, not some computer chip.. Re-emergence of the Constantine Roman Papacy type system, where you will be killed for Not worshipping the Beast, a religious system. America tried to pass this in the 1880’s, but fortunately it didn’t pass. This is Not Islam, but Christians siding with the Catholic Church, then being Killed by the same system they put into place, when they want to worship as the Bible says, and Not as the Govt. Papacy says. … LOL! Can’t buy or sell without abiding by their Religious system. So much for separation of church and state.. That is when God will pour out his Wrath on America, whom he once Blessed.. The Great tribulation.

      • Early Ray July 14, 2014, 7:29 pm

Amen. Say it while you still can.

      • John Jacob July 21, 2014, 3:44 pm

So as a Catholic I’m in a cult of Satan!!!???? Talk about bigotry!! You are an idiot who spreads hate and ignorance.

      • Mark July 23, 2014, 4:44 pm

Tom NAILED it. Not that some haven’t put it together in terms of being self-sufficient. Absolutely. We ARE responsible for OURSELVES, and loved ones. Those who are true to themselves and not living a lie anyway. Tom KNOWS where his Grace comes from…therefore his footing is grounded in his faith. Me, I don’t “worry” about ‘tomorrow’ but that doesn’t mean I’m NOT concerned (actually truth be told, I’m pissed off that bureaucrats and politicians put us in this position), and it will not keep me from trying to take care of my own. I know I am capable to a point and that’s what matters. I WILL DO what I can do as long as I am able to do it. When the Lord calls me Home, like anybody else, it’s time.

      Gary,
People (yourself included, along with the unnamed author) might do well to remember some of the history involved behind Alex’s attempt to bring these issues to light. While I’ve been certainly critical of his unprofessional rants in the past, those where he’d be seething and producing uncommon volumes of spittle into his microphone, he was, nonetheless, at the forefront of reporting this mess when only a handful were brave enough to challenge the journalistic status quo we had all become lulled into believing. While Alex was shoving aside the multitude of tinfoil hat accusations, Beck, Hannity and Limbaugh were still kissing the Bush family’s asses and getting everyone to believe they were keeping us safe from “terrorism”.

We now know this was all political staging on the part of a small number of soulless, globalist oriented politicians that were leading their myopic career focused legislative brethren down a garden path. The Bushes, the Clintons, and now this Bilderberg shoe shine boy; they’ve all been a part of it. The only problem has been that the conspiracy is no longer a theory and what too many people, both journalists and listeners, are left with is how to reinvent themselves so that they don’t look foolish in having to admit that Jones was on the right track all along. Beck is FAMOUS for this. Beck is one smooth talker, and if anyone wins the race for shape-shifting, it’s him. People weren’t buying his pseudo-patriotic drivel anymore in the mid 2000s and, obsessed with plummeting market share, he did an almost complete format turnaround. Through all of his self-serving metamorphosis, he still can’t come to grips with telling the American public that the family he was practically in bed with was as much behind this current globalist induced downfall as anyone. Neither can Hannity or Limbaugh.

That said, where does it leave the rest of the population? Here we are, 15 years or so beyond Jones’ launching point (Beck hadn’t even really invented himself yet) and people are STILL avoiding having to discuss that Jones was on target all along. To embrace Jones with all his foibles would mean having to buy in to to what he was trying to report.

Granted, that Jones’ crew’s journalistic professionalism has been an issue, but when you take into context the fact that Cronkite, and Huntley and Brinkley were merely spoon feeding us government approved pablum, we have to ask ourselves, “What is news?” Probably more relevant would be to ask what news would we be WILLING to accept if we heard it. That’s where Jones, Drudge, and Icke come in. Personally, I don’t go in for the explanations of Hillary’s behavior being because she might have a reptilian ancestry, as Icke tries to push; I just take it on faith that she’s a vile, despicable, and angry woman.

But if you dismiss Jones because it somehow seems more protected up there in the back bleachers, sooner or later, whether it’s Jones or someone else, you’re going to have to come down to the front seats if you really want to see the game, and sometimes sitting in the front seats leaves us getting sweat and saliva thrown around us; …….. certainly, it’s your choice.

I have been listening to Alex Jones for a few years and I agree he can get a little obnoxious and crazy sounding but you would too if you knew the information he does for 19+ years trying to convince people what is FULLY DOCUMENTED and then they call you a Tinfoil hat ” conspiracy theorist”
        “Don’t shoot the messenger”
I have read books that clearly state facts that the NEW WORLD ORDER want a WORLD GOVERNMENT
George Bush Senior said those exact words in a speech. It’s easy to sit back an criticize but Alex has awakened a lot of people and he does something the mainstream media doesn’t do… INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM
what some call “CONSPIRACY THEORY” I call CRITICAL THINKING.
Everything you state in this article that is happening in our world and that you AGREE is happening Alex Jones and INFOWARS has UNCOVERED and Reported when very few are afraid to mention. Like I said I’ve read the books done the research it’s all there if you CHOOSE to see it. By the way I use a lot of products that Alex sells and they are great quality products and unlike Alex who is mostly supported by his listeners mainstream media is bought and paid for by 6 MEGA CONGLOMERATES who own EVERYTHING you READ, HEAR and SEE in MEDIA. So who are you going to believe an INDEPENDENT MEDIA SOURCE or the CORPORATE WHORE MEDIA. I STAND WITH INFOWARS and ALEX JONES a TRUE MODERN DAY AMERICAN RABLE ROUSER PATRIOT.
GOD, GUTS and GUNS, LUCK HAS NOTHING GO DO WITH IT, GOD BLESS OUR REPUBLIC.

A small trivial point about the original “Planet of the Apes” – what I got from it was not that man predated apes, simply that apes survived and evolved after whatever happened that wiped out life as it was previously known on Earth. But the movie was fiction, no more foretelling the future than “Soylent Green” – no more than any science fiction movie may, or may not, come true.
