This 33 second video from Febuary 8th never made the national news, not even Drudge, despite that fact that it has over 3,000,000 plays on Youtube. Alex Jones aka Bill Hicks) even played information gatekeeper on it by changing the story from the original “breaking” story of a nuke, to later explaining that it was a chemical plant. What do you think it was? But the bigger question is, why wasn’t it injected into the 24 hour news cycle for the talking heads to speculate on for at least a day? Could it be that the powers that be decided it wasn’t the time for the next nuclear fear porn? Why would they do that? Is it because that the real “black swan” event scheduled to trigger WWIII is set to be nukes?

Since President Clinton defunded the US Civil Defense program in the late 90s, Shane Connor at KI4U.com has been one of very few in the “survivalist” corner preaching that nuclear war is survivable, and that it is probably coming to the US at some point. His now famous article “The Good News About Nuclear Destruction” and the companion “What To Do if a Nuclear Disaster is Imminent” are absolute must reads, and if you didn’t read our article “Catastrophic Radiation Events & How to Survive,” we cover Shane’s CDV meter reconditioning service, and explain the basics of bigtime radiation, including having some absolutely essential Potassium Iodide on hand.

The problem with this whole subject of nuclear holocaust is that unless something happens, nobody seems to be all that interested. Our radiation articles here have been among the least clicked of the Prepping 101 series, but in many ways it is the most important. Because with the exception of intentional famines like the one that killed 30,000,000 people (coincidentally in Ukraine), even in times of war and collapse, people generally have been able to survive with what is left of the original infrastructure. Nuclear weapons, however, have been used in war already, and if you believe the video above, are potentially being used right now.

To garner awareness of his principles (ie. survival in a nuclear conflict), Shane has decided to give away at least 1,000 of his free “RadStickers” and charge you only $1 in shipping, which I doubt even covers the envelope and stamp. RadStickers usually sell for $5 each, and we have included below several links to retailers to buy them directly. The RadStickers are the modern equivalent of the original CDV dosimeters, but they haven’t sat around in storage for 50 years. I am unaware of any competing product, and if anything, the ability to buy them so cheap explains the passion that Shane has had to protect the American people from the effects of what is probably an inevitable nuclear conflict. We have covered the work of Joel Skousen in the past regarding this subject. This video from Ukraine, clearly shot on purpose by someone told to direct his camera in that direction at a given time, possibly accelerates Joel’s timetable.

Radiation has no smell, makes no noise, and you can’t see it. Low level radiation meters like we covered in this series blank out at nuclear bomb levels. Without some warning that radiation has reached you, any human body in the zone will suffer a slow and painful withering death. If you are an “early reader” of the digest, get your free RadSticker right away, and if you missed it, buy some for heavens sake! The only downside to these stickers as opposed to the CDV dosimeters is that you can’t reset them. They are linear, so until normal background radiation renders them useless, the scale is the scale, and if it all of a sudden speeds up you know you are in trouble. Read up on our prior article as well as we covered the CDV dosimeters in detail.

Shane does not sell RadStickers or his other low cost products directly anymore from KI4U.com after the circus following Fukushima, (a small meltdown of a small nuclear power plant on the other side of the world). If you have any doubt that “ten years too early is better than one day late” when it comes to radiation, check out what Shane had to say when I asked him why he only sells his $750 NukeAlert meter (which we hope to review soon), and another big ticket called “The Package” at $815 (which includes some Potassium Iodide, books on nuclear survival, CDV meter, keychain NukeAlert, CDV dosimeters with charger and other stuff). Quote:

At the height of Fukushima we had 20 orders per minute coming in here,
we shut it off at about 8,500 orders to focus solely from then on to only
packing & shipping. We removed our order submit button and listed then
all our dealers to go buy our remaining stock from whom we’d shipped it
all to, other than what we needed to fulfill orders already here. That whole
episode about killed us as we sold over 6 million doses of KI and tens of
thousands NukAlerts, RADStickers, etc. We’d unplugged our phones for
a week and brought in 20 more people to help with our packing & shipping
and still had people driving from all over Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana
and lining up outside our door 24 hours/day to buy direct. The cars were
lined up the road, it was crazy. And, we are not a retail store, we don’t even
have a sign on the building, but they found us.

So if you want to go buy some RadStickers or other stuff, here are links to the retailers that seem to carry most of Shane’s stuff:

Worry about IRAN! If Russia gave/sold them an iron dome, guess what else they have. IRAN will use a nuke when they can send an ICBM to the US. We can block them of course and we will take away their toys. Russia only has a space program (we fund it) to boast about. The Russian military personnel are hopeless drunks/addicts and cowards. Military corruption is at historic levels and even high ranking officers are bribed (by everybody) hourly. I am retired but I have friends with trusted knowledge. This is nothing new in the last 40 years. Oil, dope and vodka is the game in Russia.

  • Russ March 4, 2015, 12:03 pm

All I can take from this video is; If your glaring out your window and witness a large explosion, you should quickly turn away and take cover from flying glass.
Other than that, Civil Unrest is what Obama’s waiting for, in order to call in the UN.
Have self control and some confidence in what’s left of LE.

PAUL HELINSKI just posted a S.H. BLANNELBERRY “special”

  • Tom March 3, 2015, 11:22 am

Even a tactical nuke such as fired from arterly would leave so much radiation trace that US, EU, and other country satellites from space would be picking up the radiation. We and the Russians and other allies and past allies have them, but for this reason they are traceable and eveyrone would know that they have been used. The U.N> would be sending teams to the reagon to verify who nuke was used to point a finger at the culprit using the trace residue.

  • ragman March 2, 2015, 3:04 pm

    Flash to bang time?
    Overpressure wave?
    Heat wave?
    No ascending fireball?
    Not a Nuke…
Not a nuke or the guy taking the video would be cooked, full of glass, and blown through the wall.
    Peace Out.

  • pete March 2, 2015, 1:42 pm

LOL, that’s not even close to being atomic, let alone a nuke. Just a big conventional or chemical explosion. No story here.

  • TPSnodgrass March 2, 2015, 11:53 am

Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, with a modicum of intelligence knew this was NOT a nuke. The cameras would have ceased to function from the EMP, the Russians themselves said it wasn’t a nuclear detonation. Having spent several years in the USAF with nuclear payloads, there is no way on God’s Green Earth this was a nuclear detonation. GA has gone WAY DOWN in my opinion since fomenting the rabid speculation of old news.
C’mon GA, you CAN be far more professional than this sheer bovine excrement.

    • Administrator March 2, 2015, 12:05 pm

Why do people who think they are smart say such dumb things? EMP requires an antenna to transmit the waves into an electrical pulse, and small electronics for the most part do not have that. Why don’t you look into the science before you just parrot something you think you know. Our EMP article in this series is actually very good.

The other point would be that all of the comments here assume that nuclear technology has not evolved in 70 years. There are plenty of patents and white papers on nukes that a micro-tons, some even blasting yards wide. Do some homework before you say dumb shit.

      • Jasper March 2, 2015, 12:33 pm

Seriously, what is with the name calling and amplifying your lack of knowledge on this subject?
You want to read something that is really stupid? Well here it is; “EMP requires an antenna to transmit the waves into an electrical pulse, and small electronics for the most part do not have that.”
What idiot gave you this idea?
While this is from Wiki, it does have merit and is generally accurate information. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_pulse
You have no need of having an antenna on either the sending or receiving end of an EMP. All nukes generate EMPs when they explode. All electronics have the ability to be affected by and EMP, it is just a matter of degree as to what the results will be. Modern electronics will often fry from a strong EMP, by even old fashion electronics can fry from a strong enough source if it is close enough to generate the internal voltage needed to overcome the wiring insulation’s resistance.
When recording with most types of cameras, you will notice a moment of “static” or some other disturbance of the image when a pulse goes by.
Not too sure who the idiot was that told you an ANTENNA was needed, but seriously, you are the one that posted an obviously non-nuclear explosion to start this off.

      • Matt March 2, 2015, 9:27 pm

I enjoy the gun articles here very much. I’m saddened by the fact that someone who runs a great resource such as this could be taken into this paranoia. That’s clearly not a nuclear explosion. No rational person thinks it is.

        Wake up sir.

  • Jasper March 2, 2015, 11:48 am

Obviously anyone that has witnessed a nuclear test would know immediately this is just another chemical based explosion and not a nuclear event. From the looks of this it is not even a really big explosion, not that I would have wanted to be anywhere near it!
Want to see some big chemical based explosions, then watch the plant in Henderson, NV explode. Not the best video, and it was on fire first but it was a whopper! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KuGizBjDXo
Nuclear explosions are much brighter, and have a large, extremely bright fireball raise up into the sky and last longer while doing so. By comparison, this is smaller than even a Davy Crockett tactical nuke. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdLm0PgrqBI
People really need to do some research first.

  • James March 2, 2015, 11:24 am

No nuke, no way! Anyone who was in Da Nang during the Tet offensive saw a much larger explosion and mushroom cloud than this when the sappers blew up the fuel bladders at the air base there.

  • Tedbylar March 2, 2015, 10:00 am

I also saw this originally on Infowars. They rebutted the nuke angle.
I am frankly more concerned with the raid by the feds & local LE on the peaceful meeting of the Republic of Texas folks. Linked today (3/2/15) on Drudge. ( Also on WND’s website) As far as I am concerned, it appears that this corrupt administration will drum up any false charges they can to stop anyone they disagree with. Check it out and tell me you don’t believe the Stasi is in the process of making Obama the dictator! The FBI has already declared “domestic” groups are more dangerous than ISIS!

  • Patrick March 2, 2015, 9:27 am

C’mon, dogging A. Jones and putting up that Bill Hicks phonylink is below you, was that a joke? Alex has woken up a lot of people and puts a lot on the table, it was his link that showed you the initial non nuke blast, yet still worrisome arms depot explosion. Name a contemporary.
There is so much bad info out there and weak minded people buy it, it detracts from the common cause of liberty and preparedness. It is bad form, however you write articles that I enjoy, so it saddens me to see a cheap shot like that. We are going to need community in the future, not division. Sad…

  • Aaron March 2, 2015, 8:03 am

Even GA doesn’t believe it. If they did it would have a bigger headline.
Do they get kickbacks from what this guy sells?

    • Administrator March 2, 2015, 8:11 am

No we don’t. Belief is a funny thing. In this case it is more tied to what you are prepared for than what you actually see. Who is prepared for mushroom clouds?

      • G March 2, 2015, 8:27 am

        Nobody, that’s who!

      • praharin March 2, 2015, 8:30 am

That doesn’t change the fact that this does not appear to be a nuclear explosion. At the very least, the “EMP” should have caused some electrical disturbance in the video if it had been.

  • petrusova March 2, 2015, 7:58 am

Right wing paranoia often becomes hysterically funny. With cell phones and the internet a true nuclear weapon going off would have been broadcast all over the world in seconds not minutes. In a real all out nuclear war most people would not want to survive it. Lets face cold hard facts not many people would want to live in a world that has none of todays comforts. If any did survive it would not be for long because the water, air and food would all be poisoned. Even the low amount of Nuclear radiation that was released in Japans recent disaster is going to affect the entire nations long term health and longevity in the near future because the Japanese have found out that nuclear contamination is so thorough you cannot clean it up. Much of what was dumped in the ocean is already lapping ashore in California and affecting marine life and contaminating anyone that swims or strolls along the beach in California. Look at the junk that has already washed ashore from the tidal wave that hit Japan recently. It does not take long for it to cross the ocean not to mention the cloud of nuclear radioactivity that went right over the United States when Japans nuclear plant melted down. The question is how strong or diluted was the cloud of gas that went over the U.S. We will all know in a couple of years if people start to develop various nuclear caused cancers. Ditto for the Russian disaster at Chernobyl and the U.S. 3 mile island disaster which has already proved to have killed many people years later that were in the vicinity of the plant.

    • Jerry H March 2, 2015, 7:06 pm

Sounds like you’re the only one spouting off right wing paranoia. I think if radiation were washing up in CA. we would have read or seen it somewhere beside in your comment.

      • Jerry H March 2, 2015, 7:10 pm

Besides there is no such thing as “Right Wing Paranoia”. The people on the right are the only ones that bring a logical opinion to the discussion. The “left” knows only what they are told by the POTUS.

        • Administrator March 2, 2015, 7:12 pm

But the right wing has fueled the police state, patriot act, “shelter in place” and all kinds of things that are a lot more dangerous to liberty than giving money to people.

        • Russ March 4, 2015, 11:34 am

          Hear Here, Jerry H.
          Perfect statement.
Only one problem, the clueless “Know it All”-(LEFT) have a mental block on facts.
The Kool-Aid keeps them from understanding what you just said.
I would say go back to school, but our educational system has the Socialist Cancer.
It’s ok, hopefully they will kill themselves, so as to not have to go through the pain and difficulty of living.
If not, you may perceive them to be Zombies.

That “Right winger” shit cracks me up.
Totally out of touch with reality.

  • Jeff March 2, 2015, 7:50 am

I agree with the above. Nuclear weapons, even small ones, produce a blinding flash upon initiation that doesn’t appear here. And 15 seconds later, the main shockwave is preceded by the sound of smaller explosions, likely artillery that hits home.

And a side note, one should never continue to stare through a pane of glass when a flash like that occurs. Maybe keep the cell phone pointed, but otherwise duck and cover!

  • Joe March 2, 2015, 7:26 am

    The sky is falling…
Seriously, If a nuke had gone off the whole planet would know about it in 24 hours.

    • tahoejohn April 20, 2015, 10:49 pm

Joe is right. If a fission event occurs the nuclear powers will know immediately.

  • James Greenblatt March 2, 2015, 6:54 am

Sorry this is not a NUKE. Rest easy.

  • Buffmuffin March 2, 2015, 6:10 am

    ROFL…

You clearly have no knowledge of nuclear weapons.

Also, may want to view the zoomed in video on this, you can clearly see multiple artillery impacts flashing before the large secondary explosion.

This was a NovoRussian munitions plant going up from a Grad barrage.

    Even NovoRussia says it was.

  • Delicious Vodka DeBlair March 2, 2015, 5:19 am

That was no nuke! Get REAL!

  • Matthew March 1, 2015, 12:35 am

Just want to point out that Infowars wasn\’t playing \”information gatekeeper\” on the story. They simply post and cite articles from other new sources and allow you to form an opinion. Follow the link in this article to Infowars and you\’ll it was drawn from Sputniknews.com. Infowars discusses it in other videos and believe it to be a battlefield nuke and I\’d have to agree. I\’m no expert. Use the power of the internet to do your own research before the FCC\’s \”Net Neutrality\” shuts it down.

    • Quisno Rodonovich March 2, 2015, 3:22 am

I had talked with a friend of my family over there they were told not to talk bout it at all. The US is censuring all information because it was Kiev that set it off.

    • Jerry March 2, 2015, 7:01 pm

What’s there to worry about? Is there any point to surviving a nuclear attack? Take a moment to think about what will happen:
The president and all the members of congress, cabinet members (and their respective families) and probably a large number of security personal (including military), weapons, ammunition, food and clean water will all be locked safely in a bunker. One that will be opened only when the initial threat has subsided. So even you, your family and a large number of your friends survive, you will be subject to a very unfriendly Marshall Law environment and governed by the very same people that initiated the conflict that led to the nuclear destruction. Or at least they will be intent on regaining control over whatever population survives.
The landscape, following a nuclear strike, will be most unfriendly and not just from the fallout. Any survivor will be met with a extremely hostile “government” and people trying to survive by any means possible. That means if the hostile force needs to murder and steal to survive, then that is what will happen. Do not expect any type of civil order but be prepared to kill to defend your family from ex and present military members, drug cartels and ex politicians determined to maintain their grip on power.
Just remember, it is nearly impossible to prepare for the aftermath of a nuclear attack, since one can only “guess” what will remain, especially if it happens in the United States.
