Pro-gun advocates boycotting ‘No Guns Allowed’ businesses

A group of Indiana gun owners who value their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms for self-defense are actively boycotting businesses that display signs prohibiting concealed carry on the premises, local media reports.

To inform fellow gun owners which stores are pro-gun and which stores have a ‘No Guns Allowed’ policy, the organizers have started a Facebook page aptly titled “No Guns = No Money.”

“What we are hoping to see is that gun enthusiast will ban together and say look this is a location that doesn’t want our business, and we are going to oblige them and not give them our business,” Steve Ellis, Owner of Top Guns Gun Store in Terre Haute, told WTHITV.

“We vote with our money every single day, so what we are doing when we support that business is saying that we are ok with that rule,” Ellis continued.

Since it’s launch a week ago, No Guns = No money has amassed a sizable following on Facebook with over 3,400 ‘likes.’

“What we are doing is making a statement saying look if this is the stance you are going to take against the Second Amendment then don’t expect us to support the business,” said Ellis.

Interesting article by the NRA since they support Toby Keith and yet his Bar & Grills don’t allow guns. Yes I left.

In most states, any establishment whose primary source of revenue is the sale of alcohol (ie: bar) is an exception to the right to carry. Bar owners do not have a say in this, it’s generally state law (at least in both Illinois and Missouri where I carry)

    They COULD go one better.
Besides populating the Facebook page, encourage rights activists to grab a couple of packs of chewing gun and a stack of “No Guns = No Money” cards, and find these businesses and use the gun to stick the cards up all around the “No Guns” signs. A flood of these cards surrounding the prohibition signs would stick the message in their faces.

If I’m not good for you to come in your store with a legal fire arm then my money is no good for you too

Identify places and automatically define it as spam, and stop buying all their products.

I think this should go further. every one who carries should agree on a colored adhesive dot that is put on the door so that those that are pro 2A know the status of the store before they walk in without searching the web all the time..These dots can be bought at any office supply store or Walmart etc.

      EVEN BETTER IDEA!

Get a bunch of huge “FIREARMS PROHIBITED ON PREMISES” signs you can see from across the street and just put them right next to the door to the establishment where everyone can see it.

The best part is that the owner of the business MAY HAVE ALREADY DONE IT FOR YOU!
      (saving time and money)

In Arizona, businesses are required to post at every entrance if firearms aren’t allowed on the premises.

They went up on nearly every bar the first day. Several more have gone up since… Seems guns make a lot of patrons uncomfortable, and they leave.

Why not buy we (heart) the 2nd Amendment signs or We (heart) guns.

Why the little secretive red dot thing? Aren’t you guys proud enough to promote your issue instead of hiding behind little red dots???

I see things very simply; “If my rights aren’t respected then my money won’t be spent.”

The problem is in public areas rights are generally equal. But once you enter some ones property includes vehicle, home or business the property owner or renters right trump the rights of guest. It is like protest I have the right to protest you but I do not have the right to set up a protest on your front lawn,

Tell that to the businesses that have been forced to make cakes, photograph, cater and provide services to gay weddings in spite of their 1st amendment religious rights. Some have been forced out of business and been hit with heavy fines!
Besides….By not choosing to do business with those who ban guns you’re not violating their rights!

so its ok for them to violate our constitutional right to bear arms yes thats our right to bear arms and their right to not allow it on their property and that makes it our right to shop else where if they loose business or go out of business because of it to bad so sad
