Stag Arms has been a leader in the AR side of the house, most notably the only major manufacturer to offer left-handed models. I don’t suffer from wronghandedness myself, but I appreciate a company stepping up the engineering to solve a problem.

This year, Stag is poised to really help out our brothers in the less free states. They don’t specify a state, they prefer to call these rifles “featureless.”

Stag Arms has teamed up with Hera Arms to make ‘featureless’ rifles like the one pictured on top.

In my opinion, they are anything but. To solve the furniture problem, they have teamed up with Hera Arms, a German rifle company that makes very cool stocks.

The rifles also feature a target crowned muzzle, no crazy “not flash hider” here. You still have the option of carry handle or no carry handle, a frame front sight or none. And as usual, they didn’t leave the lefties out. Every new rifle this year is available left hand as well.

This is the Close Quarters Rifle or CQR or as Clay called it, “the Star Trek Gun.” It’s still a prototype at the moment.

These are some really neat looking guns, and a great option for our friends behind the Blue Iron Curtain. I love how companies keep showing the stupidity of things like pistol grip bans, keep up the good work Stag.

As you know, California among other commie states outlaw rifles based on their “features,” so if you have a featureless rifle, one with a non-pistol grip, non-collapsable stock, etc. you have a legal rifle.

Everyone should have seen the video of the wimp politician who fired an AR and cried like a baby. Then the one where the little 8 year old fired it for the first time and thought it was so cool.

Tell me why the public citizens need a machine gun???
Is it so the lone wolf terrorist can waste morepeople at once
    in clubs or churches?? Ridiculous!!!

    • hbwilly February 8, 2017, 5:05 pm

Well we know that Terrorist have Machine Guns If I was an Business owner or an club owner. It would be nice to address this issue with the right fire power, and blow the Terrorist to the next kingdom.

      • Ben Deaton February 8, 2017, 5:25 pm

Have to admit HILLBILLY…YOU GOT A GOOD POINT BUT LET US LIMIT THE ONES WHO OWN THEM.

        • Ric February 8, 2017, 11:40 pm

So your thinking is the terriosts will have them but not allow a law abiding citizen to have one for protection. That’s lame thinking. Let the sheep stay sheep for the killing. When seconds count police are minutes away.

I know right. Why do people think they need to own a fully semi auto Rambo bump stock machine gun?I mean I don’t like scary things. Everybody knows that every AR15 is a fully auto military assault rifle with high capacity clipazines. What’s next? People owning nukes? Cuz that’s like the same thing. God I hate Trump.

      1. These are NOT machine guns!
      2. “Lone Wolf” terrorist are not actually terrorists. They are all on specific drugs, and specific combinations of those drugs.
      3. Every mass shooting in the last 20 years has one thing in common. (It’s not the guns!) I would suggest going to the following site, and read up on these shooters. http://www.naturalnews.com/039752_mass_shootings_psychiatric_drugs_antidepressants.html

These are not machine guns. If I really WHT to kill a bunch poor people at a club, I would put a locked chain holding the alternate exits closed, start a few small fires a few feet away from accelerates, with a bunch of oil soaked polyester shirts nearby, then calmly walk out of the front door, and over to a few hidden molotov cocktails, light those and throw them into the main entrance, and then throw a few bundles of oil soaked, plastic fiber textiles into those fires, and walk off. I could do this for about $25 at Goodwill. I could also load a truck with old tires, light the tires, drive Truck towards some stands at a sporting event, jam a stick onto the gas pedal, and then jump out. OR.. You see, it isn’t hard to kill a bunch of people. In fact, using a gun is a more difficult way of doing it.

We need the guns, because one day, after you libs end up voting in all of these laws, and leave is with no freedoms, we are going to have to fight with them, while we die by the millions, because the military has automatic machine guns, and we, the people, of whom the government works for, do not have them. We have little black rifles that shoot small bullets, so when the gov’ment comes to disarm us, for daring to publication criticize it, and we put our mean old black rifles to our shoulders, they will pull their real deal black rifles on full auto, and they will knock 20 of us down for every one or two of them that we knock down…. This us why we need more guns. Because of the gullibility of people like you.

Shooting “for lefties” engineering solution was solved many years ago… it is called the brass deflector. Located on the right-hand side of the rifle, just aft of the ejection port. I know DPMS doesn’t really know what they are but I see one on this Stag rifle in the video. I spent some time with M16 shooting left handed and did not seem to have any issue…but this is the civilian market and first world problems.

From what I’ve seen, everyone here has a CONSTITUTION-LEGAL AR – and that’s good enough for them.

  • Jimmy February 7, 2017, 7:30 am

Not as bad looking as I thought. I kinda dig it!

  • Looseteeth Larry February 7, 2017, 6:04 am

Did Stag Arms get a letter of determination on their stock? If not I forsee ATF raids and mass confiscation in Stag’s future. Now while I’m waitin’ for an answer I gots to use these vise grips, chisel and hammer on a stubborn eye tooth.

Stag needs a better “on camera” product mgr. The guy they had on, while I’m sure is knowledgable and a nice guy, just doesn’t know how to sell (or market), or present on video. You need to speak excitedly (difficult at conventions, I know, but you have one chance to appear like you are the Shit, and this guy fails). Especially the way he bobs his head at the end, I thought he might be one of their targets (just kidding!). Just tying to be helpful to the guy, so please, learn how to present without coming off like a schmuck. You’ll sell more. Much more. Make your products seem like the MUST have. That ‘Star Trek’ version is really cool. Should have had more to say about the features and why it’s cool. Don’t let the GA guy dictate – LEAD the conversation and make HIM ask better questions, not that “Is it purple?” douchiness.

    • Fred Ziffle February 7, 2017, 8:10 am

Excellent observations, sir. He also could have handled the “hypothetically not easy to clean?” question much better. He basically said, “yeah, this rifle sucks…”

  • Michael Larsen February 7, 2017, 4:01 am

Rock River Arms has been making lefty rifles for years. They don’t qualify as a “major manufacturer?”

    • Willy February 7, 2017, 8:07 am

Once again shows the poor qualifications of mr. clay!
