We had fun at the Limbsaver booth. If you want to tame the recoil on your new .300 Win Mag or .30-06 rifle, Limbsaver has just the products. I use their slip on butt pad on my Tikka T3 lightweight .308, and it makes a big difference in felt recoil. But did you know they have a resonator that improves rifle accuracy? For just ten bucks. It might get you some strange looks at the range, but if it works, it’s worth it. They also make AR stocks and have a line of slings. We also learned some secrets of how their pads work so well. Check it out in the video, but don’t tell anyone.

Is the Airtech slip on better than the regular limbsaver slip on?

The slip-on pad would be perfect for me. I have more than a dozen vintage military rifles that I like to shoot.
With the slip-on pad I’ll only have to buy one or two (Size). I’m looking forward to testing this out.
My first test will be on my 10 gauge 3 1/2 mag Goose Shotgun. It’s like shooting a 500 Nitro Double Rifle.
After only shooting a box of 5 rounds, the next morning my shoulder is blue and yellow.
I’ll give you a full report on how the “Limbsaver” Slip-On works.
The one video of the two guys sighting in their Deer Rifles is not a good test. They are using a sled that holds the butt of the stock. BUT, I do like his BYU Cap. I don’t go anywhere without mine. Bro. Mike

I read the author has a Tikka Lightweight in .308 Win. I have been looking several years for a similar weapon w/o success. More specifically, I want a Tikka Big Bore in .308W. Th.is is the one with the 20″ barrel. It is THE thing
for stumbling around in the woods (or the blind) w/o banging into everything.

As far as I can tell, Beretta/Sako/Tikka stopped making the piece about the time I started wanting one! Go figure.
Several days before my inquiry the local gun emporium sold the last one they good get!

Any of the readers here know where one of these puppies can be found??

Tikka now make the T-3 lite in 308 that has 22-7/16 inch barrel.

I’ve used both the butt stock recoil pad and the resonator. The former is a great step forward in pads. We all recall the bad old days when a thin, red hard rubber pad was the norm. My shoulder remembers as well. Pachmayer pads were a bit better but the Limbsaver has been the best for me. It slips on easily and also gives a long armed fool like me (35″+ sleeve) a bit more length of pull for a better stock fit.

The resonator has great promise for dampening barrel vibrations and at least giving a predictable affect on bullet strike downrange. The problem is the length of time needed at the bench to find the “sweet spot” on the barrel and keeping the rubber device at that location. Also, if you have front rifle sights the installation of the Resonator may be difficult or impossible w/o removing the sight(tough to do). The product does work and is very affordable.

This was awful. I have no idea what or how these products are attached, function or actually look like. Some of these products really sound great, but I’m completely turned off by the antics of the sales people.

      You are absolutely right!!!!
When you were in preschool or kindergarten and put the round peg in the round hole and the square peg in the square hole but did not pay attention, you would have no idea how the products work!!!!
