Trijicon came to the party, ready to dance, with all kinds of new stuff out this year. With a spectrum this large, they showed once again why they are a leader in every field of sighting systems.

Let’s do this big to small.

Pistols

For pistols, there is a new style of tritium sight. Trijicon tritiums have been pretty much the standard for years, that is what a Glock with night sights rolls off the assembly line with.

Military, police, and my personal carry gun all sport these bad boys and they have a reputation for extreme durability. It’s a long time since we saw an update, and I think we are all going to like these. The new style has a thinner front post, and the tritium looks brighter. My gun is about

The tritium looks brighter.

It’s a long time since we saw an update, and I think we are all going to like these. The new style has a thinner front post, and the tritium looks brighter. My gun is about due for a life cycle on sights and this is the obvious choice.

Tactical/Hunting

Features a true 1 power x 8.  MSRP is $1,600.

For the tactical/hunting/competitive market, a new 1×8. Trijicon led this field years ago, with one of the first 1×4 models. We haven’t seen much since, and now they hit the ground running with a true 1 power x 8.

Thermal optics start at around $5,000 and go all the way up to $9,000.  It’s a pretty serious piece of equipment.

True 1 is a rarity in this size, and some of the very expensive models are actually 1.1 magnification. With an unbelievable price point of $1600, I am very excited to see this hit shelves.

For the Troops

Pretty cool!  No more “collateral damage.”

In the “I don’t want to know the price, but I am glad the boys are getting it” category, a new M-2 50 BMG red dot. Not a well-known fact, but for over a decade the troops have been repurposing M-4 red dots to mount on the 50 cal.

The price for this?  Well, we’re not exactly sure.

It works, but it is less than ideal. Trijicon has fixed that with a factory made Browning machine gun sight. This model also features an elevation dial to get you on target quick, out to 2,500 yards. Well played Trijicon, well played.
