Video of a West Virginia pharmacist fatally shooting an armed robber last Wednesday has gone viral.

Pharmacist and concealed carry permit holder Don Radcliff shot and killed 25-year-old Terry Gillenwater at the Good Family Pharmacy in Pinch, West Virginia, Wednesday morning.

Gillenwater entered the store wearing a bandana and carrying a firearm. When Gillenwater went to draw his gun, Radcliff pulled out his own handgun and opened fire.

Radcliff’s first shot hit Gillenwater in the chest. The second shot hit the suspect’s gun and knocked it to the floor. The third shot, fired when Gillenwater had moved out of the view of the camera, hit the robber in the abdomen and brought him to the floor.

Gillenwater died on the way to the hospital, according to local media.

Meanwhile, Radcliff expressed appreciation for being in the right place at the right time to protect himself, coworkers and patrons.

“I’m glad that God put me in a situation that I was able to do what I did,” said Radcliff.

No charges will be filed against Radcliff, said authorities.

What an idiot. So much for “Thou shalt not kill.” What do you expect from a modern kkkristian who expects their mythical “peace loving” jeebus to be sporting an AR and an American flag. You ignorant kkkristofascists are a HUGE part of what is currently wrong with this country.

Truth – what do you think is more likely, that he was thanking God for the chance to kill “anyone” or that he was thanking God that he was there to help protect good people from the murderous criminal? Your color is showing when you defend the felon with the illegal weapon who enters the store with the intent to murder innocents, since if that criminal pulls a gu it shows he is ready to commit murder.

What’s the matter, little girl, didn’t. Your mommy have any children that lived?

Not sure if he trained for that. They all should have.
Looked like his fellow employees were not ready for that action.
No sound on the video, can’t tell if he ordered them to get down, but he started that too far back and without a good position.
His guys head was a bit in the way.

man, that pharmacist could have easily gotten the two employees standing in front of him/next to him killed. he could have easily shot one of them himself even if they had just stepped backwards quickly. not saying i would have done anything better/different, there really is no time to think in those situations, just thank jesusbuddhaallah it all worked out in the end.

I can hear the perps survivor’s lawyers already. “What reason did the pharmacist have for shooting more than once? After the first shot the perp was fleeing so the other shots were unwarranted and should be construed as using excessive force!” The bad guy’s kin may just own that pharmacy when their attorneys get finished suing the s**t out of the pharmacy and the pharmacist. Sure hope the bad guy was an adult and had a real piece with real live cartridges in it. If he wasn’t and he didn’t then it’ll be a piece of cake for the perps attorneys to blow holes in the “self defence” theory.

The obvious responses of that would be to immediately sue the surviving family !

The exact same scenario happened in Cheyenne, Wyoming, a few months ago with the same outcome. If we are in a similar situation, be very sure we are protecting lives, not material stuff. Stuff can be easily replaced but a life can’t, even a thief’s life is of value. Everything changes when someone pulls a gun on you, he is saying that he is willing to kill for a few dollars and, at the same time, he is willing to die for a few dollars. High stakes game. Loser dies. Too much TV!!! Whenever a person draws a gun on another human, he is saying he is willing to shoot, therefore if you are target you cannot afford to let the shooter get a fair shot at you, you have to shoot, fast, accurately, until the threat is eliminated. Be prepared!!!!

What was the ethnicity of the perp? Perhaps, the nigger word?

Well said. I pray to God every day that I will not be put in this position and have to take a human life. This hero had no choice and acted bravely to defend himself and others. My prayers are now for him to find peace knowing that what he did was justified.Again I say. a true American hero.

This situation is exactly what Concealed Carry is all about. The robber probably thought that nobody in a pharmacy would have a gun…but he was wrong. Most criminals will not act unless they have a distinct advantage over their prey, i.e., they have a gun and the prey does not. As more and more good people carry concealed the criminal element will have second thoughts about committing their crimes.

The perp raised the level of confrontation directly to firearms, but met up with someone better prepared. A shame that a life had to be lost, but the storekeeper had no other choices. Thankfully no one else was injured or killed.

  • brian March 2, 2015, 7:16 am

where’s the antigun dopes at when something like this happens. they probably want the pharmacist to be charged with violating the robbers civil rights.

    • PatrickJT March 2, 2015, 10:57 am

You’re not exaggerating. The sheep would rather have had the pharmacist gunned down and then the perp captured and jailed for eight years. To the sheep only the government has the right to use force — that is unless someone is threatening the herd. Then they would kill as many people as possible.

  • flipfew March 2, 2015, 3:54 am

Hey you want to threaten someone’s life?? Be prepared to lose yours! pharmacist stayed cool and calm and went home to his family because of it.

one side note he took that first shot awfully close to the other employees head….can we say “permanent hearing damage” completely necessary but man I would have been pissed
