Why You Don’t Try to Steal a Motorcycle from an Armed Off-Duty Corrections Officer

Authors Defensive Use of Firearms Rapid Fire S.H. Blannelberry This Week

An armed robber lost his life Saturday night after being shot in the head by his would-be victim, an off-duty state corrections officer, local media reports.

Alfredo Perez, a 42-year-old corrections officer with more than 10 years tenure, was at the N.W.O Clubhouse in Queens with friends when a 26-year-old man brandished a firearm and demanded the group hand over the keys to their motorcycles. However, the crook wasn’t the only one who was armed.

Perez drew his weapon and fired, striking the unidentified man in the head. The man was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. It was later discovered the robber had been arrested more than 50 times.

The identity of the robber has yet to be released as police are still attempting to contact his next of kin.

The loss of life is always tragic, but it’s cases like this that validate the adage that the only thing standing between a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun.

Had Perez not acted swiftly, it is entirely possible there would have been one or more innocent people killed.

No arrests have been made, but an investigation into the shooting is underway.

Why do the officals notify the next of kin? So the next of kin can sue the victim? Nah, just bury the c###sucker.

More proof that violence has nothing to do with guns, but with the revolving door we have on our prisons.

If the Democrats were serious about reducing violence, we would have solid 3 strikes laws everywhere. 3 violent felonies and you get removed from society, permanently. Right now over 70% of violent crime is committed by released felons and over 70% of the victims of shootings are released felons. Eliminating these sub humans from the streets would cut violent crime by…? This IS a test… Democrats.

There is no gun ban or confiscation that would have a similar impact on violence. In fact if you look at the Democrats favorite straw man, Australia, violent crime has increased there dramatically since they confiscated all their firearms and not surprisingly, crimes committed with firearms have not gone to zero… The facts?

Australia where all guns are banned and the United States, where no gun-ban exists. Both experienced similar decreases in murder rates:
    • Between 1995 and 2007, Australia saw a 31.9 percent decrease; without a gun ban, America’s rate dropped 31.7 percent.
    • During the same time period, all other violent crime indices increased in Australia: assault rose 49.2 percent and robbery 6.2 percent.
    • Sexual assault — Australia’s equivalent term for rape — increased 29.9 percent.
    • Overall, Australia’s violent crime rate rose 42.2 percent.
    • At the same time, U.S. violent crime decreased 31.8 percent: rape dropped 19.2 percent; robbery decreased 33.2 percent; aggravated assault dropped 32.2 percent.
    • Australian women are now raped over three times as often as American women.

Mandatory sentencing has a hidden problem. I know a major city DA who says that they purposely avoid charging bad guys at a level that carries a mandatory sentence because te judges will sabotage the case about 40% of the time.
They said that mandatory sentencing for using a gun in commission of a crime looks to have a positive effect on the gun crime rate. However, they said that is because they don’t charge them for the gun crime to avoid the wrath of a judge with attitude. Many drug dealers get charged for the drug crime and don’t face the gun charges. Next thing you know they are on record of being incarcerated for what ‘some people’ call a victimless crime.

Like they said, the investigation is still going….and we are still talking about the commie-controlled state of NY. So he isn’t out of the woods yet. I pray that he is. Not doubt things could have turned out differently had it not been a corrections officer. Its unfortunate that there wasn’t an armed person of any kind in the church in SC that was attacked. Both very sad situations. At least in this one, only the bad guy died. I think Mr. Blannelberry left a small part out of his “adage”….”…the only thing standing between a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun.” He forgot to add the innocent people. Hence it should read, “…the only thing standing between a bad guy with a gun, AND INNOCENT PEOPLE, is a good guy with a gun.” It is so disheartening that the lefty-liberal-democrat-commies think you can reason with criminals by simply passing laws. It takes FORCE to stop FORCE….I think that’s a physics law of some sort. But the Oba-maniacs are probably trying to change those laws to suit their needs also. Makes me sick every time I think about it. And, Yes, I get sick a lot these days.

While you can chalk one up for the good guys, it was only because he was LE and legally able to CC. Had he not been there and this being NY, the outcome would not have likely been in favor of the victims.

must have been black on black issue or we would have heard about it.
