YUDU: Making Social Media Great Again!

YUDU, as in “What did you do this weekend”? Get it?

YUDU Outdoors is a new social media destination for outdoor enthusiasts.  At NRA 2017, we got a chance to talk to the guys behind this innovative project.

Basically, they wanted to create an online environment where gun-friendly and pro-hunting people could virtually gather and communicate free of judgment, free of ridicule and free of all the B.S. we see today on the established social media outlets.

I mean, let’s face it.  Over the years Facebook has devolved into a cesspool for hoplophobes, trolls, snowflakes, P.C. police, nannystaters and other chuckleheads who have made becoming outraged a national pastime.

So, the gentlemen of YUDU — Brian Senn, Christopher Merritt and Doug Caver — decided to start a social media destination that would embrace gun owners not vilify them.

“It is the mission of YUDU Outdoors to connect and grow a community of outdoor enthusiasts by providing a superior social media platform that secures our freedoms while at the same time embracing the core values of Faith, Family, Heritage, Respect, Innovation and Fun,” states the company’s press release. “YUDU is for capturing, sharing, and exploring all that you do outdoors among a friendly and respectful community.”

The company is launching its mobile app this weekend.  It’s free to download.  It features an array of tools including geo-location/GPS tracking features, integrated weather, solunar charts and tables to help you not only navigate the great outdoors but to share the experience of being outdoors with all your friends and family.

Make sure to check out YUDU.

Yesterday a friend in the industry was cut off of FB. A young woman was chastised and derided for showing her plains game kill. AT YUDU we protect those values. We allow you to live and breath with out repression. FB is a corporation, you can eat their food or not. Come join us and breath the fresh air.

Go join your Godless liberals Fool’s!

    • Christopher Merritt May 5, 2017, 5:27 pm

Hard to understand that comment. YUDU allows you to grow and create your own community. Whether Godless, Liberal, or full of fools, that is your choice. Mine is simple, my friends, my family, and those of my faith. If you go to Groups and create one, you can invite anyone you want to join your group. The creator of the group is owner of the group. Only you can let others in. With that what do YUDU?

Why do they need my date of birth? Wont accept just a year.

    • Christopher Merritt May 5, 2017, 5:23 pm

It doesn’t, you can leave the field blank.

I can’t stand a site or group that lists FAITH — We openly and actively serve God, and His Word guides all that we do. as the first line in their core values. Keep that shit out of it. Religion has caused more wars and deaths than anything else. As soon as I see someone believing in a magical man floating around keeping tabs on every person on the planet, I have to ask myself what is the matter with this fool.

    • Christopher Merritt May 5, 2017, 5:32 pm

You will one day be in that proverbial foxhole. At that time, and only at that time will you make your choice. It is up to you. Some of us made the choice with out the foxhole. Hate has caused wars, not religion. Lose the hate and live…

Of course it wouldn’t be your kind of site if you don’t “believe” and have faith. Good luck with that, and keep enjoying FB.

  • Davud April 30, 2017, 2:58 am

not my kinda site if ‘faith’ – aka, magical thinking – is the first ‘core value’ listed.

    • Ryan May 1, 2017, 9:35 am

Faith comes in a million forms, Davud. To irrationally vilify faith is a testament to just how closed minded you must be.

    • Dr Motown May 1, 2017, 10:16 am

Actually “freedom” is the first value listed….listen again to the first 60 seconds
