Zombie skull vs .44 caliber exploding bullet

Authors S.H. Blannelberry

GN over a Funker Tactical put this video together. It’s pretty cool.

From the Youtube channel: “A 240 grain jacket hollow point .44 projectile is shot out of a Model 1874 Winchester lever action .44 Magnum Rifle and filmed in 20,000 frames per second. Keep in mind that the skull is anatomically correct so you can only imagine the actual damage this round can do.”

where do I get some of those exploding 44 mag rounds?

Hey Robert, I’m pretty sure that it would have been a Winchester model 1894, NOT a 74 – as you stated in the video. The 94 has been chambered in .44 Rem. Mag. for a long time, but even current copies of the Winchester 1873 are not chambered in .44 Rem. Mag. due to the fact that the toggle link action is the same as in the model 66 and the Henry. That action won’t take the pressure of a .44 Rem. Mag.
The Video is cool and all…but please…Winchester 74′?

    Winchester 1874?? How about a 1866, 1873,1876,1886, 1892 or 1894.

Hey Robert, maybe it was an 1873 built and sold in 1874. Oops, they didn’t have .44 caliber magnum cartridges in 1874.
Well, maybe it was a modern replica of an 1873 chambered in the .44 magnum loading.
Anyway, the anatomically correct head model was duly impressed!
