I am not a millitary collector and know very little about Walthers but at the sale they said this was a pre-war model (HP)and was called a P38 during the war. All matching numbers (I have not taken the gun apart) tight action, bright bore and normal blue wear for a gun of this age. The grips are in good condition with no chips or cracks. The only fault I can find with the gun is that the Walther banner, logo and HP model are lightly stamped on the slide (see photo). We trade guns. Cashiers check money order only. C&R or FFL required.
