Smiths have essentially told me that the castings are the first major step which accounts for the overall structure and that some basic milling is performed to make them what is known in the industry as a 80% Frame. The term is a bit loosely applied. Sold by Mead Works who sells to the US Gov which is Investment cast by Travis Foundry and Forge. NOTE: THIS IS NOT COMPLETE - NOT A FIREARM and DOES REQUIRE slide rail to be cut and hand finishing in several areas.
