Crimson Trace has just announced a new line of riflescopes designed for tactical, long range, hunting and recreational uses.
The lineup consists of 11 riflescopes, ranging from a 1-4x24mm in the sporting category to a 5-25x56mm in the long-range/tactical category with plenty of options in between.
“We’re extremely excited to enter the large and diverse riflescope market with these feature packed products,” said Lane Tobiassen, the President of Crimson Trace and American Outdoor Brands Corporation’s Electro-Optics Division.

Crimson Trace engineers designed each riflescope to incorporate advanced exterior and interior components, including advanced ED fully multi-coated Japanese glass with illuminated custom reticles in the first focal plane to ensure consistent sizes. In total there are seven reticles to choose from, each designed with a specific purpose in mind.
The new Crimson Trace riflescopes offer a wide range of options for magnification and also provide generous eye relief.

The line includes models with 30mm and 34mm one-piece tubes with objective lenses in diameters ranging from 24mm to 56mm. All new riflescopes include specially designed turrets, making adjustments easier when wearing gloves. All riflescopes are equipped with flip-up caps on the ocular and objective lenses to protect the glass and help keep the riflescope clean. Subdued internal components reduce glare and bright spots resulting in improved vision and a clearer image. The line also includes a 3-9x40mm riflescope with an illuminated reticle and 34mm tube and two 1-8x28mm riflescopes with 34mm tubes.
Crimson Trace riflescopes are fog-, shock-, water- and dust-proof. There are a number of adjustments for the illuminated reticle to accommodate user preference and surrounding light conditions. Each riflescope ships with the lens caps, owner’s manual and reticle manual. Also included are adjustment tool and a lens cleaning cloth. These riflescopes are dressed in the new Crimson Trace packaging with the distinct CT logo.
MSRP on this new line of riflescopes ranges from $499 up to $1,999. All Crimson Trace riflescopes are covered under a full lifetime warranty. The company also includes its “Free Batteries for Life” program.

Oh great–another company branding a scope outsourced to someone else that makes and slaps 25 different logos on whoever wants them to make a scope for them.
I don’t blame a brand for trying to get in on other markets but unless you have a truly new, unique scope the market is so flooded now it’s gonna be hard to stand out. I wanna see companies create the future of optics or further technology not just put they’re name on the same old stuff fifty other brands put they’re name on too. But best of luck!!
So they use Japanese lenses. Are they assembled in China? This is about branding, nothing more. . I am sure they are great scopes, do we need another brand? Sig has done the same thing and their red dots look a lot like Holosun red dots in another shell
