Amy Schumer Yaps About Gun Control at Glamour Awards

2nd Amendment – R2KBA Authors S.H. Blannelberry This Week

“Trainwreck” star Amy Schumer once again opened her trap about gun control, this time at the Glamour Women of the Year awards on Monday night.

“I just want to use this opportunity to say what I’ve been fighting for. […] If you’ve been convicted of domestic violence or if you’re severely mentally ill, I don’t think you should be able to get a gun,” said the actress and comedian.

After iterating that line, Schumer continued, “That seems pretty simple, right? But the reaction I’ve gotten from that is I say that and people hear, ‘She wants to take our guns!’”

Well, a couple of things. First, her comments illustrate just how ill-informed she is on the issue. Federal law already prohibits mental defectives and domestic abusers from purchasing, possessing, selling, transporting, etc. firearms.

Second, the reason why people accuse Schumer of being pro-confiscation is simple. She has aligned herself with an organization that is funded by former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, a gun-control czar and outspoken proponent of bans on widely popular and commonly owned firearms.

Plus, she is related to New York Sen. Charles Schumer, a through and through anti-gunner if there ever was one. Maybe Amy doesn’t favor confiscation, but the company she keeps certainly does!

So, brief memo to Schumer:

Hey Ms. Amy,

Before you continue to open your yapper in support of gun control, take some time and really research the issue. You might just be surprised on what you find. I suppose you can start here.

Warm regards,

GunsAmerica

What is this fat slob doing at a “glamour” event?

  • jimonthebeach November 13, 2015, 5:20 pm

Amy Schumer is just another brain dead liberal entertainer who has probably never read a newspaper let alone a law book. It’s unlikely she would be able to tell the difference between a shotgun and a water pistol.

  • Max Hoyle November 13, 2015, 12:53 pm

Its already illegal for those people to acquire guns, stupid fat girl!

    • Thunder December 12, 2016, 1:18 pm

Here’s the thing about “domestic violence”. We all have a disagreements with spouses or other family members. At some time in the past our fearless leaders have decided to try and intervene in some misguided attempt to help. Or simply to take advantage of a situation in order to further their own political agenda of disarming Americans. Clearly, that will be for you all to decide. Either way, by definition of the highest law of our land, it is strictly illegal. This is fact. Now when a residential disturbance call goes out to police, pretty much somebody is going to jail. It’s been said this will allow tempers to cool and…….and what? Now somebody has a record that will follow them for life. They will have to change their very lifestyle if they are in any way involved with firearms, such as police, military, or just a gun enthusiast, or in the industry. This and the actual monetary cost of being dragged through “the system”. I wont mention being cuffed and dragged off to a cold cell and facing a judge. Who cools down after all that? But, violence needs to be addressed, right? Well what if police are taking a non violent situation like somebody getting angry during an argument and punching a wall in their own home, never so much as threatening any family members or spouses, and then writing it up as “Criminal damage per domestic violence”? A misdemeanor. This is what happened to me. A little back ground, My wife and I were newly married after having lived together for about two years. There were financial troubles and the usual issues surrounding integration into an existing family including four children. Three of which are big BIG boys in their teens. They were roughhousing one of threw another right through a wall in our home. Say about a week after, my wife and I had been in a heated argument over the disposition of the home in relation to her ex. She wanted to basically quit claim the deed to him in an effort to appease him so he might stop harassing her over custody of the children. The home I had been refurbishing with the sweat of my brow and the money I earned over the last several years. When I found that she had gone behind my back and done it, I was pissed! Yes, I punched a wall in my own home. The wall that two kids had thrown each other through days before in fact. The wife left the room and ten minutes later she came out of our bedroom and told me she called the cops because she was scared. She said she’d never seen me that angry. She said she was sorry. It was about that time, I had noticed a police officer aiming his gun at me through the window. Then a knock on the door. The police entered, pushed their way in in fact. I was asked what had taken place. I basically explained what I related to you above. The police investigated the scene and took pictures of the wall. Then I was informed I would be going to jail, “just overnight to cool off”…….So, here I was in court the next morning. The bailiff comes around with a sheet of paper. He explains it’s a waiver. The judge explains to the entire court room at once that the waiver signs away your right to a trial. He says this is to expedite your case. He tells everyone that the court is not considering jail time in your case, and that if you sign the waiver you can pay a fine and be released. Wait, what? The judge just asked me to admit to guilt and sign away my right to a trial so I can get out of there with a fine I couldn’t afford to pay? I happen know that a conviction on this charge will result in the automatic revocation of my 2nd Amendment rights. For what? Punching my own fucking wall in my own home? So I politely declined. Not surprisingly I was given a court date and released on my own recognizance even without signing away my rights and lively hood. So I go to see a lawyer. I explained my case to her and why I couldn’t and wouldn’t eat a conviction like this. I will always exercise my 2nd Amendment rights so basically the end result of this situation would be to make me a walking felon for life subject to a deadly showdown with police at any given moment. I’m just a guy who takes his own safety and well being into his own hands instead of blindly trusting government to do it for me. That and being an armed guard this would seriously put a crimp in my pay checks. So with a perfectly straight face, she tells me there’s no way I can avoid the conviction, but that she can guarantee no jail time. Really? So $125 later for the “consultation” I left. So I went straight to the prosecutor. I gained an audience with him, where I again explained my situation. The man was sympathetic and understanding. To a point. He told me he was certain that I was not a violent or dangerous person, especially to my wife and family members after talking to me. Then he said “but you are in the system now and you will have pay”. Those were his words. So he strikes this deal with me. If I attend the state sponsored anger management classes and graduate, he will dismiss all charges. So for the next six months of Wednesdays, I paid my $40, and sat in a circle of guys who were almost in the same boat. I say almost because they had signed the exact same waiver in court, and had been convicted. Nobody from within the system had felt the need to explain exactly what that meant to these individuals. To a man, they had unknowingly signed away their 2nd Amendment rights without so much as a wimper. Boy! The surprise when I did! All of em looked to the case worker and he solemnly confirmed this fact. This little charade takes place in court rooms every day all across this nation. Thousand and thousands daily. It is literally a crime against us, perpetrated by law enforcement, judges, lawyers, and politicians. And it goes on and on. Not many people really know or understand what it means. But believe me when I tell you, those who devised this scheme and implemented it during the Clinton era knew exactly what it does. We’ve almost already lost the 2nd Amendment and most of us don’t even know it. Don’t believe me? Don’t have to. Check it out for yourselves. My heartfelt suggestion is that everyone ought to take a day aside and just go sit in a court room near you for a morning and see for yourselves. It’s really well past time for legislative solutions or depending on democracy and the Constitution. These have been usurped and undermined to point of becoming irrelevant as far as “the system” is concerned. It’s time to make a stand and inform society at large that this kind of attack on our freedoms will no longer be tolerated. I make mine by never leaving my home without a firearm with the universal understanding that I will never surrender it to anyone. I sincerely hope my relation of these events will open some eyes and minds to what’s really going on. None of this my finest moment. I’m not proud of it. I share it here so some may get the benefit of my experience without having to endure it. Know this as well, I tried with everything I had for three more years. I was never able to get over my wife calling the police and getting me arrested. I could never fully trust her again. We parted on amicable terms. That marriage is over. Thanks for listening.

I wonder who takes a person serious when they talk about how their P***Y smells and gun control in the same three minute conversation. I got a topic for you Amy, Education! You clearly didn’t think to educate yourself before you decided to speak. Want to take a stab at how many Women are card carrying gun owners these days? I promise you there were guns in that audience

  • Russ November 13, 2015, 9:58 am

If she cared as much about the food she is shoveling down her gullet while sitting on her royal fat rump instead of worrying about legal gun owners she might have a career someone watches and maybe even have someone special in her life. Instead she is a sourpuss who cowtows to her Uncles whims and still supports barry obummer. See look at the bigger picture of this libtard cow and you start to see where she went wrong. Just saying.

she is not funny at all, she is stupid as the people who lough at her stupid jokes, and if there was no shooting during showing her movie she will not be standing there talking about Gun control

Why of why do we care what a vapid, “D” list actress, comedienne (yes I use un-PC descriptions on purpose) says about anything. They can barely remember their lines so how can they be expected to be informed about anything of any substance. Celebrity, no matter how small, doesn’t automatically confirm on someone the intelligence to speak on any subject they choose. They have the right to speak and we have the right to ignore.

It would appear that slimy Schumer’s daughter has spent far too much time at fast food eateries! If one tells her to haul ass, she will make 10 trips! She is just as slimy as her hook nosed old man!

I used to like Amy and her stand up. But after she hit the big time, she became a political hack for the NWO. Now I turn my back. Same with that Australian comedian Jefferies and his anti-American gun rant.. These people joined the ranks of Schumer, Obama, Clinton, Feinstein…all people whom I refuse to acknowledge and when I hear their voice I turn off whatever medium it is being piped in on.

  • John K. November 13, 2015, 3:27 am

      • USNVET November 14, 2015, 5:47 pm

Chuckie like many other self loathing Jews feel they are elite like the Nazi’s and they should be the only ones armed or have full time body guards like their lord and master Adolf had
