AR500 Armor Recalls Level III Body Armor

Authors S.H. Blannelberry

Last month, the popular ballistics and body armor company AR500 Armor recalled its Level III body armor after it failed to meet performance requirements, allowing a bullet to penetrate and pose a risk of gunshot injury or death.

The recall only includes the Level III body armor with the manufacture date code of February 2016 through March 2016. To check the manufacture date, users should look on the white label on the back side of the armor plate.

You can see the date of manufacture boxed in red.

AR500 Armor is recalling all pieces of the armor, including the chest plates, side plates and ABS panels. AR500’s Level III is rated for protection against rifle calibers up to 7.62X51 M80 Ball (.308) at 2,800 feet per second.

On its website, AR500 said that the recall and replacement is necessary “because a supplier of some certified ballistic grade steel failed to disclose to AR500 Armor that some of its steel failed certain ballistic tests until after the body armor had been distributed.”

There have been no reported injuries.  Nevertheless, the company asks that purchasers immediately stop using the recalled armor and contact them to receive instructions on how to receive new, functional Level III armor. There will be no cost to customers.

Purchasers can contact AR500 Armor toll-free at 844-887-8824 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, email at [email protected] or online at www.ar500armor.com and click on “Safety Recall” for more information.

Well, you’re free to rely on whatever you want to believe in, but as for me, I’ll take body armor in a gunfight.
I suspect even your God expects you to do what you can to protect yourself.

I am a true warrior for God almighty, I need not any body armor to fight for or die for him, I need only the proper belief and mind set to understand that until he wants or needs me to be with him I shall remain a true warrior and not be killed until he says it is my time. Its called faith, a true belief in him. You see so often police not only armed to the teeth, but so covered with body armor its amazing they can still walk, and I laugh for if your cause is just why have you so much fear of being harmed or killed? Nobody ever died before their time, where does your belief system lie, do you even have one, or have your lost your way of thought along with the selling of your souls ? The bullet that rips through my chest. or the one that blows my head off, will be a blessing, hopefully it will be the chest, and I can look down upon it and say thank you Lord.

“why have you so much fear of being harmed or killed?”

Uhh… Because it *hurts* to get shot?

Maybe the body armor was invented to insure your continued instruction to those of us who need learned leaders of faith? I, myself, wouldn’t tempt Father God with his protection in battle while I didn’t wear the body armor He undoubted gave man the intelligence to create. Although, being with Him and Yeshua would be much better. You’ve brought to the table much to ponder, and I am grateful! May you find peace and good health through the strength of your faith-Through Yeshua!

I agree. Mistakes happen. Nobody can make everything in-house. And when you discover a problem, this is the way to deal with it.
