Outspoken gun-control advocate and prolific horror author Stephen King called for tougher gun laws in the wake of the mass shooting at a historic church in Charleston, South Carolina this week.
King took to twitter Thursday to voice his frustration with the country’s pro-Second Amendment position.
According to Bloomberg Business, gun deaths will exceed traffic fatalities in America this year. Can't put a seatbelt on a semi-automatic.

I wonder what this morally-righteous liberal thinks “responsible gun control” should be? There are already THOUSANDS of laws affecting law-abiding gun owners. I bet he thinks that “responsible gun control” should be the banning and confiscation of guns — but so typical with liberals, doesn’t have the courage to actually say so. (Just like they don’t have the courage to say they think others — you and I — should be FORCED to pay for the care and feeding of people who don’t pay their own way, i.e. socialism.)
Keep in mind that this (over-rated) author was struck and badly injured by a negligent driver quite a few years ago. And how did he reconcile dealing with the incident in one bizarre way? He bought the vehicle that the negligent driver hit him with, and then beat it to pieces with a sledge hammer. Ah, liberals really are deranged. Blame things, not people.

King’s opinion is, as usual, based on total ignorance of firearms. Not only doesn’t he know one end from the other, he apparently is too cheap to even hire a proofreader who knows a semi-auto from a revolver, to name one common confusion that runs throughout his work. Read NEEDFUL THINGS, where a revolver magically morphs into a gun with a slide …. or THE STAND, where the egregious gun goofs are too numerous to list. I noted about 15 or 20 dumb mistakes on the title page, and then just gave up (though the constant appearance of a “Colt Woodsman in .38 caliber” sticks out in my mind. Another novel, whose name I can’t recall, had someone carrying a double-barrel shotgun, broken open, in his car, but then shortly thereafter he racked the slide on it. Huh????
This is not a man who has any business even handling a firearm without close adult supervision, yet he presumes to have an actual OPINION on the subject? The sheer arrogance is astounding.
In Kings latest book “Finders Keepers” within the first few pages an aging writer is gunned down by a disgruntled fan. Later in the book this same degenerate steals a handgun from its lawful owner and kills said owner with the stolen handgun and goes on to shoot an innocent woman in the head.
It is fiction of course but like so many liberals screaming “better gun control” they, at the same time are making money off of fictional gun violence. Talk about calling the kettle black.
King is one of America’s best writers in the horror/supernatural genre. I don’t have to like his politics to be able enjoy his novels but maybe he should pull his head out of his ass and realize that if the laws on the books were vigorously enforced perhaps some of violence would cease. We don’t need famous people speaking from their ivory towers with their opinions. If they are not part of the solution they are part of the problem.
So well spoken and expected from a person that does like to do his killing with an automobile.

So sad to see such a great author be so ignorant. If you hang out on Bloomberg you will get programmed to be anti-gun. I wish he’d go examine the “facts” that he has based his beliefs on, but that would require an open mind. The best quote that I read was when someone posted “I carry a gun because I can’t carry a cop.” Smart people defend themselves from the criminals and psychos who do run around armed, and who don’t care about laws.
Unfortunately criminals will always be able to get guns. Thats what people dont understand. If drugs and other illegal things get into this country what makes you think that guns wont? Only law abiding citizens will get their firearms taken away. How is that fair. How will we protect our families , what call the police? They have their own problems right now.
The Federal Government can censor all media and specifically movies and books. This can also be imposed by State and local governments. If governments at any level took a stance and actions to censor and eliminate violence from books, movies and video games, Spielberg and his anti gun cronies would squeal like pigs. They would cry, we have a First Ammendment Rights. Government says people mimic what the read and see in violent books, movies and video games. It degrades the quality of life, people with weak minds confuse fiction from reality, endangers and offends the general population, it fosters injurious anti social behavior and copy cat acts of violence. If a person perpatrates violent or criminal acts based on the ideas and content of movies, books or video games; the originators and all persons and businesses involved in its production, manufacture and distribution can be criminally charged for assisting in the planning of a unlawful act and may also be sued in Civil Court. These common sense laws will protect our children, reduce comunity violence and allow children and adults to engage in activities more social acceptable. What would the Spielbergs and Hollywoods anti gun bigots say? These are but a few of the thing they want done to restrict and eliminate our Second Ammendment Rights. As said before: if you destroy the Second Ammendment the others will soon fall. History is full of examples of goverments confiscating guns, then comes censorship and criminalization of freedoms with worse to come.

The boy that did the shooting didn’t try to fight the police at all because he didn’t want to die. He is a coward and knows that men with guns will kill a man like him for fantasizing of killing people. He knew that democratic black folks wouldn’t have guns.
