The Beretta 92G Brigadier Volunteer is a limited edition pistol

Roughly two years ago, Beretta opened a new factory in Gallatin, Tennessee. This year to commemorate the new factory Beretta has released their 92G Brigadier Volunteer in 9mm. A company representative indicated there will only be 1000 or so of these commemorative pistols made.

The 92G Brigadier Volunteer is essentially a standard 92G, but it has some upgrades as well as a few unique Tennessee features. This pistol is DA/SA and as a G model it is a decock only, rather than having a safety. It has a skeletonized Elite competition hammer and D model reduced power hammer spring, which “decreases the trigger pull by about 4 pounds” according to a company representative. There is an oversized magazine release, and enhanced sights. The checkered walnut grip panels have special engraving of three stars in a circle to match flag of the great state of Tennessee. The slide has engraving that says “est. 1796 The Volunteer State” to further link the limited edition pistol to Tennessee history.

The company representative also indicated there may be other commemorative guns in the works to further celebrate the establishment of the Gallatin, Tennessee factory. The 92G Brigadier Volunteer is available now for $899 MSRP.

It kind of blows the “Limited” out “Limited Edition Pistol” when the words “or so” are added to the 1000 produced. How many is “or so”?
