President Joe Biden recently signed a massive, $1.9 trillion COVID-19 “stimulus” bill that includes $1,400 direct payments to Americans making less than $80,000 (or $160,000 for joint filers).

If you’re planning on spending Joe “Sugar Daddy” Biden’s cash on guns and ammo, you’re not alone. According to a new report from Forbes, gun stores are expecting a windfall of purchases in the coming weeks.

“Stimulus check equals gun money,” Brandon Wexler, owner of Wex Gunworks in Delray Beach, Florida, told the outlet. “I do anticipate that when people get a stimulus check they will spend it on firearms, accessories, high-capacity magazines and ammo, if they can get it.”

Al Tawilowner of Towers Armory in Ohio, reported a 20% spike in weekly sales in mid-April 2020, when many Americans received the first round of $1,200 checks. He expects the same this time around.

“We’re expecting another big sale when the stimulus comes out,” he told Forbes. “They’ve got the extra money and people go indulge themselves with something they can’t normally afford. Some people want a car. Some people want a gun.”

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last 12 months, you know that the COVID-19 pandemic has thrown the gun industry for a loop—to put it mildly. Ammo companies are reeling under massive demand, and the shortage is expected to last another 12 months at least. Semi-automatic firearms of all types are hard to find, and many AR-15 parts are out of stock.

If you’re set on spending your $1,400 on guns and gear, it can be hard to know where to start. Here are a few ideas.

Magazines

Unlike in previous runs on guns and ammo, the magazine supply appears relatively stable. They’re still easy to find both in stores and online, and the prices haven’t risen substantially.

These Magpul AR-15 PMAGs, for example, are in stock at Brownells for $12.99, and these Glock 17 mags are in stock for $37.99.

Stocking up on mags is never a bad idea. If you run out of working magazines, most semi-automatic firearms are effectively useless. Plus, the irony of using Biden Bucks to buy 30-round magazines is oh-so-sweet.

You could buy 107 AR-15 PMAGs or 50 Glock 17 magazines with your $1,400 check.

Optics

Optics haven’t been substantially affected by the pandemic, either. Prices are good, and supply is healthy.

If you’re in the red dot market, Vortex’s new SPARC Solar is an excellent choice. The Solar boasts an incredible 150,000 hours of battery life along with Vortex’s industry-leading, no-questions-asked warranty. The Solar automatically turns on when it’s moved, has 12 brightness settings, and comes with a high-rise mount. MSRP is $399.99, but I’ve seen them online for less.

(I’ve been using the Solar since it came out in January, and it’s worked well so far. Be looking for a full review shortly.)

If you’re searching for a new magnified scope, Primary Arms is always worth a look. Their budget-friendly 4-14x line has been a mainstay of shooters and hunters for years, and I love their fixed-power prism scopes.

You could buy three SPARC Solar red dots or five Primary Arms 4-14x scopes with your $1,400 check.

Sig Sauer P320-M18

You’ve been wanting one for years, and now’s your chance. Sig’s P320-M18 chambered in 9mm is the civilian version of the official sidearm of the U.S. Marine Corps. That should be enough for most red-blooded Americans, but here are a few of the handgun’s best features:

  • Compact, 3.9-inch barrel and 7.2-inch overall length make it a great option for concealed carry
  • Full-sized 17-round magazine
  • Sig front and rear night sights come standard
  • Great P320 trigger
  • Optics-ready slide

The P320-M18 is going for about $800 on the street, and the M18 Commemorative (which comes with a special serial number and shares the exact components, coating, and markings as the military version) runs about $1,400. You’ll have to do some looking, but they can still be had.

You could buy one standard P320-M18 and 12 extra magazines ($50) with your $1,400 check.

Conclusion

Don’t forget to shop GunsAmerica, too, where all local sales are FREE! I’ve noticed some killer deals on milsurp rifles, single-action revolvers, and concealed-carry pistols over the past month or so, but you gotta act fast as they’re, seemingly, there and gone within minutes. Good luck!

Whatever you buy with your Biden Bucks, be sure to include some guns, ammo, and accessories. I can’t think of a better way to tell the Commander in Chief what we think of his gun-ban agenda.

SUPPOSEDLY..the 2A was brain stormed to keep tyrants in check …to keep u.s. citizens freedoms intact..but it’s clearly obvious it probably isn’t goin to be a tyrannical government that ends a persons freedoms or rights or life…it’s gonna be another citizen with a firearm …only in the good ole United States is everyday a Wild West shootout a possibility…I’m cool with that..live by the sword..die by the sword..watch yer back ! You could get shot in back of the head standing in line for a coke at the grocery store ! What a pleasant way for civilized beings to live ! 🤣😂🤣

Your white privilege is showing. You must live a privileged life, never broke down in a bad neighborhood or lived a poor life or even lived in the country where it takes 10 minutes for police to get there. What you need to do is wait till about 11 pm and go to your local ghetto and go for a walk.

    Trump is done…

I would say to all the Trump supporters who dislike/hate/believe President Biden and other democrats stole the election and or believe that President Biden is destroying or in the process of destroying The United States of America, to donate your entire stimulus checks to Trumps 2024 re-election campaign. Put your money were your mouths are. I mean if Biden/Harris are just going to take your guns and ammo away in the next 6 months, why waste your money on them now, right? With your $1400 (or more) donations to Donald J. Trumps re-election campaign – he will once again be able to take office and restore our gun rights and bring back bump stocks, right…?

Republican party members need to get rid of the TRAITORS first, these subversives are the ones that threw Trump under the buss, they can’t be trusted, they are listed on the internet, look them up and VOTE-THEM-OUT!

Its going to be a very bad day when the Dem wited go door to door taking guns and very very dangerous. Back in the Osama presidential days when VA decided to take veterans guns away if they were deemed incompetent, not capable of making their own decision. An old vet, his daughter had power of attorney in order to pay his bills. According to VA he wouldn’t take care of himself because of this. They sent sheriffs to take his guns. They were met with part of the oklahoma militia, one of the nations largest. Needless to say he still has his gun today.
