BREAKING: Federal Bump Stock Ban Is Coming Soon, Real Soon! 90 Days to Turn ‘Em In!

2nd Amendment – R2KBA This Week
BREAKING: Federal Bump Stock Ban Is Coming Soon, Real Soon! 90 Days to Turn 'Em In!

The government is banning bump stocks. There is no grandfather clause. This is confiscation, folks. This is infringement. (Photo: SlideFire).

The federal ban on bump stocks is coming soon. Real soon. “In the coming days,” according to a CNN Exclusive.

What this means is owners of reciprocating devices will have 90 days to destroy them, render them permanently inoperable or turn ’em over to authorities.  Or else?

Or else risk being charged with unlawful possession of a machine gun which is a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, according to the DOJ.

“Bump stocks turn semiautomatic guns into illegal machine guns. This final rule sends a clear message: Illegal guns have no place in a law-and-order society, and we will continue to vigorously enforce the law to keep these illegal weapons off the street,” a senior Justice Department official told CNN Wednesday.

There is no grandfather clause.  There is no registering bump stocks under the NFA.  Worse yet, owners of bump stocks will receive no compensation for complying with the law.

Aren’t ex post facto laws unconstitutional (under Article 1, Section 9, Clause 3)?  Isn’t Big Brother expressly forbidden to seize property without compensation under the Fifth Amendment? I’ll let you answer those questions in the comment section.

The truth is I’m tired of talking about this whole bump-stock fiasco.  About how the NRA caved following Vegas; about how Trump was supposed to use the bully pulpit to push national reciprocity and the Hearing Protection Act but instead he focused on banning what amounts to a range toy via executive fiat; about how the ATF had said in no uncertain terms on two separate occasions that bump stocks were firearm parts, not machine guns; about how if this was Obama everyone in the gun community would be shouting from the rooftops, “From my cold dead hands,” but since it’s Trump no one seems to care; about how the ATF is being weaponized to act as a legislative body as opposed to a regulatory agency (only Congress can pass laws prohibiting weapons); about how this sets a horrible precedent with respect to executive power and the ATF; about how you best believe Big Brother is going to pull the same stunt one day as it pertains to those other widely popular firearms and accessories that putatively circumvent the spirit of the NFA (I’m not going to explicate what they are but we all know what I’m talking about); and on and on and on.

I will, however, note that the timing of this is interesting.  In the wake of the midterms.  Not before them.

To those who own bump stocks, all I can say is good luck and godspeed.  Given the apathy of the gun community on this issue, it looks like you’re on your own.  Resistance is futile.  And noncompliance could cost you your 2A rights permanently.

GUN CONTROL THAT WOULD REALLY WORK!
Gun control doesn’t work, just look at how well the criminals in Chicago obey the gun laws.
Gun control that would really work would be, if you use a gun for any crime, you go to prison for life!
You’d get no visitors, TV, Magazines or books, radio, coffee, work out rooms, gyms, etc…, EVER! That’s just to name a few things you’d never get again, because you’d get nothing but the gruel for food, no matter your religion preference!
The only time you’d get a visitor would be when you’re on the way for your death penalty if warranted to be enforced!
You’d be put in a stainless steel room and have the following options to take your own life! When left finally left alone you could,
#1. Self-inject poison into your veins, and you will be dead very soon!
#2. Pull a chord and a pill will fall in the acid so you can gas yourself!
#3. A door will open and there will be a gun with just one bullet to blow out your brains or heart!
#4. There will be a rope dropped down from the ceiling so you can hang yourself into an open pit!
#5. You can sit in an electric chair and kick the lever to electrify yourself!
#6. You will get no food or water at all, and you’ll slowly starve to death!
The last thing you’ll ever hear is, “We’ll be back in 30 days to see which option you chose”!
That way when they haul your pathetic body out of the cell at the end of 30 days, the door can be shut and an automatic washing and sterilizing system will make it ready for the next criminal to start their 30 day decision!
You Socialistic Leftist LibTARD Pinko Commies will never understand why we on the RIGHT side of Politics LOVE AMERICA, and are willing to die for her still today! Would you? If not that would make you a milk-sop!
I’m a Viet Nam Veteran that is proud of my service for America!
I’m a Viet Nam Veteran, and I Love America! DO YOU?
Are you willing to die for your FREEDOMS? I STILL AM!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU???????

    • Chris December 28, 2018, 8:53 am

I like ‘milk-sop’ but prefer pantywaist. Other than that, I agree. I’ve said for a long time the greatest deterrent against gun crime would be automatic sentence of death if you used a gun in commission of a crime.

    • Hardtimez March 29, 2019, 10:02 am

Lol All of that and it was your dear leader trump who took your right away. Get your head out of your azz son.

  • bob December 8, 2018, 11:15 pm

you guys are lucky, in 2 days NJ will ban over 10 rd mags., violation of 5th amendment for no compensation of cost of compliance. Whether you like bump stocks or standard 10,plus rd. mags or not, you should be compensated for them, if government feds or state bans possession. Huge fines and felony convictions for not complying. I took the cowardly route and sent my mags to relatives in an American state, PA, which was not easy for me as a senior citizen and army infantry vet. I wish there was a way to mobilize the 500,000 to 1,000,000 NJ decent, responsible, law abiding and background checked owners of 10+ rd mags to be arrested and bankrupt the state. But sadly, American citizens are not united anymore.

    • Jay December 11, 2018, 8:29 am

100% correct Bo on the “United we stand, Divided we fall” We were warned at least three times by the words in the Bible of this fact and evidenced throughout history! If people would just put 1+1 together and get the right answer! If people could just look at the bigger picture! If people could just use some basic common sense! If, if, if…….. It’s all apart of the bigger plan of control that started back in the 1930’s and we have let it snowball from there over the disguise of safety! Americas school system has been liberalized for over 40 years and it’s fortunate that not all people are susceptible to the brain washing but more and more are being used as a victim of the Agenda! I hope Americans wise up soon and go on the offensive and protect our Constitution!

  • Ben krewer December 2, 2018, 4:04 pm

They will make this travesty an open ended law so more and more can just be added to the ban. It’s a sad day for America.

  • larry December 2, 2018, 3:59 pm

Well said Dewy,, Been saying that for years.. Feel the same way about the Hearing Protection Act.. Buy a pair of muffs for christ sake. You know damn well someone somewhere will use the suppressor for illegal night hunting or in a mass shooting somewhere…

    • Jimbo December 5, 2018, 8:57 pm

I have muffs. They interfere with a good mount. An unmuffled gun interferes with conversation, drives away spectators. Chases away all the game in the vicinity. Why shouldn’t we stop the noise at the source? Maybe we should do away with mufflers on cars and trucks, and force drivers and pedestrians to wear earmuffs.

    • Stuart October 2, 2020, 12:32 pm

The only record of a suppressor being used in a crime was 1 time, and it was a police officer…chomp on that for a while…
OR we do it your way and ban everything that might be used to kill someone one day…so GUNS, knives, cars, anti-freeze, pillows (smothering), fists, any long stringy thing that could be used to strangle someone, shoelaces, rope, power cords, sticks and stones, any blunt object in existence, all chemicals, water (drowning)…should i go on?
Or is it apparent, your argument makes zero sense.
AND what would the reason be given to ban suppressors?? because we like noise? or your argument? (which is probably their thinking, that we all become deadly assassins when we get a suppressor, but, again, only 1 case of them being used in a crime and it was done by a police officer, so there is NO reason

  • Jake December 2, 2018, 2:54 pm

One thing is evident reading the earlier comments. Divide and conquer certainly is working well.

    • Jimbo December 5, 2018, 9:03 pm

That it is.. United we stand, divided we fall. Why haven’t people learned that?

      • Jay December 11, 2018, 11:22 am

70 years of the NWO trying to take over one step at a time. The goal, Chaos, then they step in and act like the savior and your a slave! they have created a world that cannot see beyond identity politics instead of issue politics.

  • Ryan Chapman December 1, 2018, 9:40 pm

Shame on the NRA for backing this. They’ve proven that they’re nothing but a Republican party lobby. If Obama did this there would be nothing but outrage. It starts with bump stocks, then it’s ammo, and then it’s the guns. Wake up America!

  • Dewey December 1, 2018, 6:58 pm

The gun industry has been “poking the bear” for a long time with all of the products that are designed to circumvent the NFA. Bump stocks that effectively mimic full-auto fire, “pistol braces” that are functionally stocks, factory made sawed-off shotguns that were “never really shotguns” because the factory never put a stock on them, those idiotic binary triggers, an SBR that’s not really a rifle because the rifling is straight.

None of these things serve any legitimate purpose except to make a profit for the makers, in exchange for drawing attention from the BATFE. Well, now you have their attention and you’re all crying about what you brought upon yourselves.

If as much effort were put into repealing the NFA as has been put into skirting it, it would be gone by now. But flipping the bird to the government was a lot more fun.

    Congratulations.

    • Mike V December 2, 2018, 2:16 am

No one’s obliged to follow rules that don’t exist. There is a market for all of this stuff, and within the confines of the law and the advice of the ATF, manufacturers have and will continue to provide products people want.

As for serving a legitimate use, who determines that? What criteria?

The NFA won’t be repealed because the number of people who gravitate towards those items are a small fraction of voters. And as the spirit of your post suggests, those who don’t want to own those things also don’t think others should either.

      • Dewey December 2, 2018, 12:01 pm

These items exist only because of the most extreme parsing of the regulations and their biggest appeal is that the buyers of these things get to think that they’re giving a big F-U to the government.

I guess you’re correct in your assessment. Every item I mentioned appeals only to the lowest common denominator of the gun-owning public.

        • Mike V December 2, 2018, 9:03 pm

Again, who determines what is considered legitimate. You claim these things appeal to the lowest common denominator, why? Because you have no use?
Why are your uses or needs ok and others not?

Plenty others disagree and pay to exercise that belief by buying these items.

        • Jimbo December 5, 2018, 9:05 pm

          Baloney

    • Stuart October 2, 2020, 12:39 pm

Unfortunately, Dumbie…I mean Dewey, not all of us exist to suck on the teet of a govt. agency-because of a mob shooting in 1920 (aka the NFA). and i live in FL, so i’ve already had to throw away bump stocks that i never even fired. and if i did it would be at a range, not to commit a crime.

  • Joel Fraser December 1, 2018, 4:30 pm

You have to wonder how many bumpstock owners are going to be tempted to accumulate more prohibited items since they will already be in violation of an unconstitutional law.
Personally, I’ll play by their rules for now.

  • Urethra Franken December 1, 2018, 10:06 am

I hope they don’t ban two-by-four lumber next. My bump stock is a 2×4 cut to 2 inches longer than the length of pull on my AR-15.

  • knight2 December 1, 2018, 5:45 am

Nope, not going to do it! I’m not turning anything in that I bought legally without compensation.
First they’ll come for the bump stocks, then the 30 round magazines, then finally the firearms.
Give them an inch and they will will never stop. Seasoned veterans know that full auto is pretty much worthless. But it’s the ideal behind it. Ask yourself this….to who’s benefit does this serve?

  • DAN III December 1, 2018, 5:40 am

    Kill all they send.

    • Dewey December 1, 2018, 6:44 pm

  • Glenn61 December 1, 2018, 5:21 am

Relax,,,,,,,, Donald Trump is playing the Left here. Obama did nothing about bump-stocks because he wanted mayhem and murder like what happened in Las Vegas.
Trump is baiting the Democrats to give into their urges and use the House to steal everyone’s guns. This is an expose the Left tactic.

  • Jon November 30, 2018, 7:47 pm

DUHHH! BUY A $200. STAMP AND KEEP THE BUMP STOCK!!! It will be the cheapest “MACHINEGUN” you’ll ever be able to buy and will probably INCREASE IN VALUE !!

    • Scotty Gunn December 1, 2018, 4:20 pm

They say right in the article that you can not register them as NFA.

    • Joel Fraser December 1, 2018, 4:28 pm

Not that easy! You can’t legally register any new machine gun for private ownership, and bumpstocks didn’t exist pre-1984 when the list was closed.

    • Mike V December 1, 2018, 5:43 pm

Doesn’t work that way. Since all bump stocks were manufactured after 1986, they can’t be registered as machine guns by ordinary citizens.

I suppose a dealer/manufacturer could, but this means little to the half a million regular guys/felons…

  • Earl Haehl November 30, 2018, 3:33 pm

In three weeks I turn 75. I spent a lot of time studying history. In the 17th Century England had its civil wars and the intellectual ferment of the enlightenment. This led ultimately to the 1689 Bill of Rights which had a proviso that it would not apply in time of War. Surprise, the Government managed to get into a state of hositilities shortly thereafter and has managed to keep some level of hostiliies going with someone ever since. In 1775, Governor Gage sent some 800 grenadiers and marines out to arrest two dissidents [Sam’l Adams and John and John Hancock] and to seize a cache of munitions–provoking hostile actions which rendered those rights inoperable.

This incident turned a revolution based on protest, lawsuit and occasional actions against property into open warfare.

In 1919, Max Weber wrote an essay on what the modern state should look like. Basically this was Bismarck’s Germany following the Franco Prussian War. It was a model for the Weimar Republic and the League of Nations and lasted through the Third Reich. It also informed the folks who drafted the New Deal, the Marshall Plan, the Eisenhower Doctrine, the United Nations and the European Union. It also provided the backdrop for Orwell’s 1984.

Our current President was not with Barry in 1984 and came of age during the Johnson-Nixon Era. He has a New York license for a pistol and feels that is the essential right to keep and bear arms. During the the 2016 election he adopted the NRA platform because it energized his base and LaPierre fell for it. Since that Trump has on occasion walked off the NRA plantation but straightened out when LaPierre corrected him. An example is endorsing the Giuliani prescription of “Stop, frisk and confiscate.”

One of my fifth great grandfathers was in Lexington in 1773. I have a son, a daughter and four grandchildren. I doubt that I will much longer be in a condition to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States and I do not wish them to meet the troops who are on their way to “Concord.”

  • Viet Vet November 30, 2018, 2:46 pm

Is this where the civil war starts?

  • Jim November 30, 2018, 2:36 pm

    CNN said this ?

  • Robert November 30, 2018, 1:56 pm

Well now, I suppose I’m going to have to try and find one and purchase it now and be in the protest end of it and let the chips fall where they may. definitely not renewing my NRA sub next month

    • Edodaniel November 30, 2018, 8:00 pm

I got out of the NRA many years ago when it became clear they were no longer fighting for our 2nd Amendment rights but mostly collecting money to have fancy conventions and make feel good comments. The NRA-ILA weren’t even offering any legal assistance to citizens wrongly charged under laws that are clearly unconstitutional and against the words of the founders confirming that the Union would not have any authority to disarm its citizens.

“Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American . . . . The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.” — The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788

      • Jimbo December 5, 2018, 9:09 pm

Sadly, I decided that decades ago, only after giving the NRA ILA thousands of dollars. The leadership is inly interested in big salaries and trips to Camp Perry.

  • Common sense November 30, 2018, 12:40 pm

Hey, they banned “lawn darts” because of stupid people, bump stocks should be nothing more than a toy, but there again STUPID enters in. So don’t complain about people with common sense, stand on your soap box and rile against stupid!

    • trapperwv1 November 30, 2018, 5:57 pm

They banned the sale of lawn darts not the possession of them, and they were banned by CPSC not ATF

  • Grampy November 30, 2018, 12:19 pm

Time to use the 2nd for its intended purpose before it dies from lack of use.

The government is not ours. It has been bought and paid for by people who hate freedom and wish to totally enslave the people they hate: freedom loving patriots. The 2nd is on its death bed. Use it, or lose it.

    • Dewey December 1, 2018, 6:47 pm

Talk is cheap. Lead the way. What are your plans for a government after you threepers “win”? Go watch Red Dawn a few more times, wolverine.

  • Bobs your uncle November 30, 2018, 11:55 am

I don’t really have a dog in this fight, because I don’t own a bumpstock or a firearm it could be attached to, but I think its a serious mistake to go after law abiding citizens for legally purchased products not criminally misused, just because it doesn’t effect me, doesn’t mean its not wrong! This is phoney pointless bureaucratic bullshit. Mr. President, want to make a difference? go after real criminals, theres no shortage.

  • Eric Holder November 30, 2018, 11:48 am

I do not have any bump stocks and I am not interested in them at all. Many people here refer to them as “trash and toys”. They are inanimate and do not control anything. The issue is only that the US Government (according to CNN) is going to take something from the people. It is not even the bump stock itself, it is a right that the people have they want to diminish, obstruct, ultimately remove completely.

Change is inevitable but I do not see good changes happening. People have no trust in other people. In the sanctuary City I am in there are herds of Heroin/Crack addicted people being moved from place to place. There are new needle deposit sites as a convenience for your drug shooting and smoking pleasure.

Across the bridge in New Jersey. Some of the highest taxes in the nation. Some of the most restrictive gun laws also. Gambling? Yes. Destructive addictive. Legalizing Marijuana? Yes. IMO I add these things up and it does not represent American values; Be responsible, work for the things you want, Government working for the improvement of our nation.

I do not think that there will be any revolution or civil war over the 2nd Amendment or the defunct US Constitution. The term used so often is the “law abiding gun owners”. So abide by the law.

I have to go and pray to false goods and ship some more guns to Mexico have a nice day.

  • Wesley Jamison November 30, 2018, 11:29 am

To me it is not if you like bump stocks or not it is the way they are going about outlawing them through the ATF
by passing the legislation process that is required by law. This sets a real bad precedence for future firearm bans. The pro-gun community needs to start fighting back harder than the anti-gun community is pushing forward or we are going to lose it all. It looks to me now the Government has control of the people not the other way around as it was meant to be.

    • Winston November 30, 2018, 4:31 pm

It’s the Trump and former Jeff Sessions Dept. of Justice doing the outlawing. The Obama ATF approved the devices as merely gun parts. It’s disarmament by a thousand cuts from the US Ivy Leaguer Boston to Wash., DC Ruling Oligarchy.

  • Kevin McCarthy November 30, 2018, 11:06 am

Even if you totally hate bump stocks – you should support the owners. If they can confiscate those – they can confiscate WHAT EVER YOU HAVE. Gun Control – is all about removing all guns – its a war of a thousand cuts. Like sharks – let gun grabbers take down Bump Stocks without a fight…… they will just demonize something else and keep at it.

People do not buy full auto to commit crimes or take down the government. They own them because they are FUN. Back in 1980 a full auto M16 stripped lower new in box was $65 plus $200 tax. Today, a horribly used and abused starts at $8K. Who can afford that? Especially if its something you might only use a few times a year? Bump stocks fill that.

What about that legal suppressor law? It had tons of support until the Las Vegas shooting. That incident is what brought bump stocks to light. The company that made them is already out of business. One incident has killed a good bill and an accessory. You toss bump stocks under the bus – expect something you own to be on the chopping block in your lifetime.

    • Russel A Helmers November 30, 2018, 10:28 pm

Well I don’t have a bump stock nor do I want one., If I did and there’s no way to trace them WWWEEELLL!

    • Jimbo December 5, 2018, 9:12 pm

Next will be all semi auto guns.

  • Jeffrey Miner November 30, 2018, 11:02 am

The problem here is not whether it is junk or not. The problem was ATF put out 2 separate decisions stating is was a legal item. Business owners and citizens put out good money to make or buy them legally based on those letters. The problem is the confiscation of legally purchased property for one. Two, which should be irrelevant based on government shouldn’t be able to confiscate previous legally owned property, but they then don’t compensate the owner for the loss.

If this principle is allowed as constitutional then the government can outlaw any property you legally acquired, with no, or low ball compensation. Not just guns. As for guns being ban such as AR 15 many are $,1,500-$3,500 before accessories such as scopes, red dots, cases, specialized parts. When Congressman Swalwell’s proposed but back of only $1,000. That may cover low end cheap model, but not what many bought and accessorize. Adding red dot and magnifier scope can be another $2,000. Add slings, cases, triggers, bipod, stocks etc can easily make a rifle with accessories in a $6,000 range. Seems like theft to me. The government which should not be able to confiscate legally purchased property. Any bans should be grandfathered in as the government had not previously outlawed the property. Especially when ATF regulations and the Federal laws allowed legal purchase of semi auto rifles. Make no mistake it is about setting a precedent of improper confiscation and citizens allowing it by not caring because they don’t own or want one.

    • VegasStrongr November 30, 2018, 1:36 pm

Well, this is horrible for all of 2A. An outright ban on an ACCESSORY is wrong and illegal. I say, just my opinion, to NFA it and move on. Those who choose not to deal with the tax and paperwork should be able to sell them to dealers for a reasonable price.
Also, I haven’t heard even a whisper about TAC triggers, or is it included in bump stock ban?
Again, just my opinion, those are more reliable, function more closely to an actual FA, and owning both, I personally enjoy the slow rate of fire (faster than anyone can pull the trigger, but not too fast as to empty a 30rd mag in 2 seconds) at around 300-400rpm. I’ve even tried a modified trigger setup that achieved close to 500/600rpm that is 100% legal currently.
Point being, let’s drag the bump STOCK issue out as long as possible so the Tac-Con and similar triggers never see the light of day in mass media. We continue the fight and still get FA-like rates of fire IF WE CHOOSE TO!

      • allblues November 30, 2018, 2:38 pm

There will be no opportunity to register them under NFA, as they will be classified, however erroneously, as machine guns. The Hughes amendment, although fraudulently passed, prohibits any MGs manufactured after May 19, 1986 from being registered to civilians.

        • Waterman November 30, 2018, 7:46 pm

There is a provision in that same bill to open up the registry at any time which is exactly what should be done. The NRA promised to fight Florida’s illegal ban after Oct 1. But so far not a peep. And this ban by the Feds is a violation of the 2nd, 4th, and 5th amendments.

    • Mike November 30, 2018, 5:17 pm

Also ironic is: if you bought a bump stock at a shop theres a pretty good chance you paid sales tax on it which the government was, of course, eager to take…

    • boydmj December 1, 2018, 7:17 am

Your cost argument is slightly erroneous. Simply remove the accessories before surrendering your weapon. I am not advocating the surrender of any weapons with or without accessories. Cold dead hands.

  • Evil November 30, 2018, 10:57 am

God save the Trump. Correct stance on Bump Stocks. Absolutely awesome we didn’t put Federal CCW repricrocity on his desk, good thing suppressors are still NFA.

How long until we have a chance to get this thing done, again?

Probably just a ploy by the NRA and the right to guarantee a certain number of votes each election cycle. Ask the gun industry what kind of numbers they made in previous admin?

BTW, kinda nice being allowed to legally carry on Federal lands… must of come out of the “shadow” conservative admin, during Obama?

WE let the NRA start down the slippery slope, just as they instigated the groundwork for “Commie-fornia” in the 60’s in response to Black Panthers exercising their 2A rights.

Wake up and learn some history. BTW, when Clinton signed the 86 gun bill, didn’t anyone care that he was still 6 years from being elected President? Did he arrive in a DeLorean with Doc Brown? Wait, that was Saint Ronnie who drove legal fun guns to unobtanium status.

    • Jimbo December 5, 2018, 9:17 pm

I have no idea what you’re talking about. It’s incoherent.

  • Jeff November 30, 2018, 10:50 am

The problem here is not whether it is junk or not. The problem was ATF put out 2 separate decisions stating is was a legal item. Business owners and citizens put out good money to make or buy them legally based on those letters. The pro is the confiscation of legally purchased property for one.

That may cover low end cheap model, but not what many but and accessorize. Adding red dot and magnifier scope can be another $2,000. Add slings, cases, triggers, bipod, stocks etc can easily make a rifle with accessories in a $6,000 range. Seems like that by the government which should not be able to confiscate legally purchased property. Any bans should be grandfathered in as the government had not previously outlawed. Especially when ATF regulations and the Federal laws allowed legal purchase of semi auto rifles. Make no mistake it is about improper confiscation and citizens allowing it by not caring because they don’t own or want one.

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT Jeff—FIRST Principle—“The ART of War” Sun Tsu—-DIVIDE and CONQUER! THAT guy is a FOOL for getting OR wanting one of THOSE, anyway I DON’T have OR want one—he’s a FOOL for wasting Good Money!!! I’m SMART!!! He’ll just HAVE TO LEARN!!! SEE HOW FUCKING EASY IT IS???? FREEDOM ISN’T FREE and FREEDOM TAKES SOME UNDERSTANDING of EXACTLY HOW IT WORKS. In a nutshell—what MANY of them don’t or can’t comprehend—-I DON’T FEEL OR THINK OR BELIEVE THAT WAY BUT I’LL DEFEND TO THE DEATH YOUR RIGHT TO THINK OR FEEL OR BELIEVE THAT WAY. THAT’S THE ONLY STRENGTH THAT DEFEATED THEM BEFORE, THAT’S THE ONLY STRENGTH THEY FEAR, THAT’S THE ONLY STRENGTH THAT WILL DEFEAT THEM AGAIN! WE ARE LOSING IT!

  • Burns James November 30, 2018, 10:45 am

This is simple , ATF approved Bump Stocks with out Congress!!! , So therefore they can remove them ,the very same way!!!

It may cause an up roar , but I assume that big brother did this so it could be taken back in-kind….

Hey, I’m selling shovels if anyone is interested. Put them in a “Marked Grave”. They are PLASTIC, they’ll LAST FOREVER until you or your Heirs need them. GUBMINT wants em REAL BAD! THAT’S why they ran NOT ONE but TWO FALSE FLAGS where the “Bumpstock” got the blame. The reason was TWOFOLD.

1—CONTRARY to MOST of the BS, a person CAN become VERY PROFICIENT with one of them with practice.

2—EVERYONE knows that the “Bumpstock” ONLY makes the Technique easier to master. ANY SEMI-AUTO can be “Bumped”. The “Left” knows this also. They want to Demonize them because during all the debates it WILL become “the Right thing to do” to BAN ALL SEMI-AUTOS which is what they are REALLY AFTER.

As for Trump—he has ALLOWED HIMSELF to be “PLAYED LIKE A FENDER STRATOCASTER”!!! If ANY of you are waiting for him to EVER GET UP ON THAT WHITE HORSE AND PICK THE SHIELD AND SWORD BACK UP AND START WEILDING IT LIKE HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING SINCE DAY ONE, forget it. You are BEAT I’m afraid. We are as “On our own” as we were BEFORE he showed up. He is NOT the man he CLAIMED OR CLAIMS to be. He is TOO BUSY trying to find SOMETHING, ANYTHING that he can do to FINALLY get the “OTHER SIDE” to see what a “Great President” he REALLY IS. For THAT HE WILL SACRIFICE ANYTHING, INCLUDING US. He ALLOWED the MASSIVE Vote Fraud to STEAL THE MIDTERMS. NOW, AS SOON AS THEY ARE SWORN IN, ALL their fire will be concentrated on getting him OUT. He WILL be doing the “Nixon Shuffle” up the stairs of Helicopter one by April FOOLS Day. Waving GOODBYE and claiming, “I am NOT a CROOK!”. He has ONLY done TWO THINGS that will be permanent, the MOVE of the Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and THIS BAN ON BUMPSTOCKS. EVERYTHING ELSE that has to do with ANY part of his Presidency WILL BE REVERSED OR ERASED. GA–RON–TEED! Nero PLAYS while Rome BURNS TO THE GROUND!

    • bobtheaxolotl November 30, 2018, 1:13 pm

There was no massive voter fraud. If this were the case, the democrats would also control the senate, and would be impeaching Trump as we speak.

In the real world, Trump is a historically unpopular president, and the republicans lost the house because they’re being led by an idiot.

Everyone who voted for Trump asked for this bump-stock ban. Trump has never been a conservative. He’s donated money to the Clintons in the past, even. He’s not a liberal either, though. He has no convictions, no beliefs, no morals. He does whatever is best for himself only. That’s what you voted for.

So, stop whining about “voter fraud” in the midterms, because there wasn’t any. And next time, don’t nominate someone as terrible and stupid as Donald Trump. The mid-terms, and this ban, are on the shoulders of every conservative who voted that moron into power.

      • WVinMN November 30, 2018, 3:56 pm

Trump’s approval rating’s been around 50%! And there most certainly WAS voter fraud in the last election, just like in practically all elections. In a very close election it can be a difference maker. And there were a ton of close elections this past November.

Well Gov. Scott gave us one last present before he becomes Sen. Scott. He fired Brenda Snipes before she could resign. She had said she was going to resign in Jan. She doesn’t get that chance now. Bye Bye and don’t collect $200 and do not pass Go! And he put a Republican in to finish out her term so maybe there won’t be any voter fraud in the 2020 elections.

And the alternative in the 2016 insult-fest that passes for oligarch-controlled American political activity was the mass-murderer and slush funder Hillary Clinton, who also voted with Bush-Cheney 94% of the time she was in the US ‘Senate’.

  • Andrew Miller November 30, 2018, 10:14 am

The very reason “bump stocks” exist is because of the cost of actual, registered, transferrable machine guns.
    It increases exponentially over time.
    Here’s an example.
In 2002, I looked at a JM Burgess 76 “Clone”.
Then he was asking $1200, and since I lived in his town, he offered to sell it for $1000 (plus tax plus the Tax Stamp…)
    Now?
    Look it up. $8500 now.
Look up the “Uzi” that Vector built out of the Group Industries registered receivers they had purchased, they’re at last $12,000 now.
And in a few years they’ll be $20,000…

But somebody comes along with an idea make life easier than just “grabbing the belt loop” and makes it controllable, and you’re mad, say “let them ban it” so who cares about people who can’t afford them.

The “registered machine gun” will, at some point, be either an “investment piece” to sit in the safe and wait 20 years to sell with an added “0” on the price tag, or a toy for millionaires.

At some point the “dealer sample loophole” for gun ranges will get closed so they can’t be “rented to the public” and then nobody will get to have any fun with machine guns except the rich.

Also at some point that “1986 vintage registered machine gun” will be a safe queen that you can’t shoot for fear of lowering the value.

But hey, Bump Stocks are either (A) (to quote one half of the argument) stupid trash that wastes ammo or (B) (to quote the other half) stupid trash that lets Mundanes without a 6 figure salary enjoy full auto, why should the be able to afford such fun?

    Here’s a final note.
Years ago, I was at the now closed, Powder Room gun range in Powell Ohio.
It was just me and my best friend, shooting our pistols.

Then we hear a “BRRRRRRRRT” from the other end of the range.
An older black fellow had a MAC-11 and was getting his grand-daughter some “trigger time” with it.
And it was not her first rodeo.
She was a teenager, and running that little boxy 1200 Round Per Minute thing like she’d practiced repeatedly.
The guy noticed me looking (my best friend was in the booth we’d rented shooting still) and said, “want to try it out?”
I asked if it took “hot” ammo and it didn’t, so I grabbed out of our “range stash” a couple boxes to turn into noise.
And we chewed through that in mere minutes.
As my friend was shooting, the fellow lamented that when he bought the gun, it cost less than the Tax Stamp. And also that he only had the 12 and 32 round magazine, so I named a few places which might have some available for purchase.

Machine Guns are now priced out of Mere Mundane level, and that “Bump Stock” was intended to bring it “back to the people”.

I’d also imagine the other “wink wink” workarounds will be the next.

    • KEN November 30, 2018, 11:39 am

Well to start with, don’t use the phrase machine gun. It is not! That kind of language is what the anti-2A people love. Now they have gone from black powder too mini gun with your help. Stop helping!!! Yes it can increase ones fire rate, but not at full auto levels. Will bump stock get their money back from the patent office. What is next to slow down fire rate the gov’t will cut off your trigger fingers, if that does not work who knows is next. If there is never a right without a wrong, then 2 wrongs are not right. That works out only in math. May everyone’s next shot be the right one.

      • G'UmByTheP' November 30, 2018, 1:49 pm

I am sure that the attendees of the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Vegas were thinking, “thank God this lunatic doesn’t have ‘machine guns’ and is just using his ‘range toys’ ” while they were being sprayed with bullets.

        • WVinMN November 30, 2018, 4:02 pm

You know what I’m sure about? That people at that concert are wondering what the Hell went so wrong with hotel security that permitted this mass murderer to “spray bullets” into a crowd for as long as he did! And you know what else I know? Totalitarian Marxist trash like yourself have been filling up mass graves by “spraying bullets” at innocent human beings anytime that chance has provided for better than a century. Your type of evil never sleeps.

  • Matt November 30, 2018, 10:05 am

Not sure about the compensation laws
I have been shooting since I was 11. Bump stocks are just an attempt to turn semi auto to fully auto. Just another crazy gun idea. They should be banned. If you want to shoot full auto, join the military or law enforcement.

    • Area 52 November 30, 2018, 12:50 pm

When I graduated high school I joined the USMC. I was looking forward to firing full auto. It wasn’t long after I found out I was spending more time behind a broom or a Swab ( also known as mop) than a rifle. When we did have an opportunity to fire the rifles, it was only for qualification in semi auto. Very few police officers carry select fire/full auto. So the idea of joining one of these outfits and it’s going to be machine gun heaven isn’t true.
I don’t own a bump stock but I don’t have a problem with someone who does and uses one legally and responsibly.

From your post I suspect you don’t own one either. However I suspect that if a bump stock bans passes it will energize the gun banning crowd and they will push for more and more. I anticipate that they will pass every gun law they could in the house of representatives just to see what sticks. When that happens even if you don’t own the item being banned, people will flock to gun stores and buy guns ammo magazines etc. That will cause prices to go up, guns and ammo become impossible to find. After Sandy Hook trying to find a box of .22 was impossible.

My point is these laws could affect every gun owner regardless what you own or shoot by high prices, hoarding and excessive regulation.

    • H November 30, 2018, 1:35 pm

Matt, People like you are a very large part of the problem in this Country. The way they are doing this violates the entire spirit of the Constitution, as does your mistaken belief that no one should have a full auto but police and military. As a Veteran LEO I can tell you, you’re wrong. The 2nd Amendment grants the inherent right to citizens, and protects and weapon currently in use by the contemporary infantry soldier. As a police officer, I have 0 qualms with law abiding citizens owning machine guns. Bump stocks are in fact a dumb toy, and they likely saved 100’s if not 1000’s of lives in Vegas due to the difficultly and inaccuracy they have. This whole Ban Trump is pushing is Un American on so many levels, and a violation of rights.

    WHAT BUMP STOCK ?? LOL
BTW, my opinion is that CONGRESS caused this whole mess when they closed off the LEGAL REGISTRATION of NFA weapons for civilian sale in 1986 ! This created a whole new market for people that wanted this type of weapon, but could not afford the $20 or $30 + thousand dollar firearm.

  • Steve November 30, 2018, 9:54 am

It is all about creep.. Had a liberal say to me, “we only have to win once, you (conservatives) have to win every time” and that is because we are not pushing for lessening of restrictions, rolling back stupid laws.. we just go along to get along and that does not work with these fascists. I don’t have a bump stock either, but this is they way it happens. Slowing, like the frog in a pot. So instead of giving in , we need to push for less gun laws and less restrictions on everything. Back to the original constitution. If you think about it, the average person had the same weapons as governments (in some cases).. Wealthy people who could afford cannons, had cannons, or ships with cannons for protection. So in my mind, anyone who can afford it, should be able to buy an F22, or a B1 or a B2 for that matter. Or an abrams tank or whatever they want. That is the only way to avoid tyranny and tyrants.

  • Bob November 30, 2018, 9:54 am

@cmf- your position and attitude on the issue, based on your good fortune in being able to afford and enjoy NFA registered machine guns (as do I) marks you as a true jackass. Very few people can afford the price of entry into our club, yet you disparage them their “range toys”. Push come to shove, without the logistical supply chain of a government behind us, our machine guns are “range toys” i felt that was in Iraq as well, when the only ammunition I had for my M4 was the dozen mags on my person, knowing there would be no resupply forthcomy from Dyn if it hit the fan. And, hardtimez, go somewhere else and eat shytte.

  • Luke November 30, 2018, 9:52 am

Since when had CNN been a credible source for anything? I can’t verify this report anywhere else on the internet. Anybody help verify the 90 day deadline? My guess is it’s just fear-mongering from the news media again.

  • Joe November 30, 2018, 9:36 am

Does that mean we have to get rid of all belt loops and opposing thumbs too ?

  • Stan d. Upnow November 30, 2018, 9:34 am

As bump stocks go– don’t have one, don’t want one, don’t see a legitimate need for one. But, this goes Way beyond the novelty of that accessory. It’s the misguided and intrusive nature of the Ban that’s troubling.

This is almost exactly like the Australian model that the Progressive-Socialist Liberals have been clamoring for over the years. It sets a scary precedent. After the PSL’s get a gun-control measure passed, are they content? Oh no, they always say: “It’s a good start, but there’s Much more to do.”
    Beware the slippery slope!

I couldn’t disagree with this article more. You hit the nail on the head when you said “toy”. They are junk, a waste of ammo. Th Vegas shooter killed 58 people, and wounded 489! Think about that. I am an FFL, and avid hunter and overall just a total gun guy. I have absolutely no issue with these things being outlawed. I had several of them, and I sold em all. We knew what we were getting into when we purchased these things. They have always been on the fence. Any serious shooter doesn’t even touch em. Shame on GunsAmerica for publishing this article, damning the NRA for actually taking a stance that makes sense. There has to be some common sense when dealing with this stuff, not just no, no, no, no. And I do understand that people think it can open up avenues for other types of confiscation, but us law abiding citizens will be fine. They are not going to take our guns. And for whatever reason if it ever comes to that, there will be hell to pay. We all know that. “From My Cold Dead Hands”

I was still a teenager when the Hughes Amendment was rammed through; but Wayne LaPierre should have broken Charlie Rangel’s back over the bench of SCOTUS for his illegal and unethical part in “passing” it. I dont have words to express how angry this makes me. Not because of bumpstocks per se; I have a nice NFA stamp collection. Its the principle, the infringement, the frustratiin that, no matter how stupid how trivial, how inneffective, our government can and will pass a law or make a rule or distort one to fit, and make honest citizens into criminals. Where is my voice? NRA? Haha not by a long shot. I am retired now, and spent how many years hoping and dreaming for the day the NFA would be repealed as unconstitutional? I voted for President Trump, and I like most of what he has done, but NRA, as the big gun, needs to start FIGHTING to reastore our gun rights, and stop sacrificing them piecemeal.

    • Rouge1 November 30, 2018, 11:01 am

  • tyler kent November 30, 2018, 9:19 am

A bump stock is not a firearm, nor an essential part to any firearm function. It is not protected by the 2nd Amendment. The real underlying issue here is whether full auto functioning firearms should be legal to own under the 2nd Amendment. There is an argument to be made for that; however it is not a likely successful political strategy.

  • Retrocon November 30, 2018, 9:19 am

Relax. It’s not a legal rule. Trump and Sessions know it. It keeps it out of congress. SCOTUS has to shoot it down because it conflicts directly with the wording in the NFA. Can’t do that. This court is literal. It also conflicts with Heller, since they are now in common use.

If congress tries to legislate to change the NFA, that opens the door to remove silencers and SBRs from it at the same time. Keep the pressure on the Senate to do that.

  • Frank November 30, 2018, 9:12 am

Better review this new bill the Freedom killer Demos are introducing when they start in Jan. bottom line after all is said, No one but FFL will be able to purchase, sell, or distribute in commerce any parts kit. 80% lowers, or machinegun parts. By the way, ANY FIREARM that is a semiauto will be considered an assault weapon, including shotgun, pistols, and rifle…….Someone voted these a**holes in so enjoy.

Guys they were a dead end branch to begin with. Waste of ammo, inaccurate, and forever associated with the Las Vegas sob who gave gun control a huge boost. Good bye and good riddance- I don’t think toys and true marksmanship mix.

    • Chris Daniel November 30, 2018, 9:21 am

Totally agree Jim. Any serious shooter could care less about this.

    • Jay November 30, 2018, 9:26 am

Foolish remark from a troll. The automatics in the military are for cover fire, not meant to be accurate. If someone wants a toy and to waste ammo it cost you nothing! I guess if it was one of the accessories you use like a scope, which makes a weapon more dangerous and able to kill at greater distances you’d be screaming folly!

      • KEN November 30, 2018, 11:41 am

        True that Jay!

    • ~ Occams November 30, 2018, 10:14 am

If you would stop listening to lying MSM and lying politicians, you’d understand ‘Vegas was a staged event.

But never mind; Truth and facts might upset you

      • boydmj November 30, 2018, 12:39 pm

Occams, you’re either an idiot or brain dead. You probably think 911 was a hoax or run by the govmnt too.

  • BRUCE MARSTON November 30, 2018, 8:59 am

THE BUMP STOP IS A TEST CASE AND OUR GUNS ARE NEXT!

MARK MY WORDS: ” AMERICA IS FINISHED! IN LESS THAN 50 YEARS ALL OF OUR GUNS WILL BE GONE”!

    • Wayne R Cook November 30, 2018, 9:01 am

Bump stocks? I could care less. that was an ill fated invention from the beginning. Like putting fins on a car to make it aero dynamic. What a crock.

      • Mikial November 30, 2018, 9:15 am

Agreed. Bump stocks were a fiasco waiting to happen. Any device that allows you to dump a whole mag without taking the pressure of your finger off the trigger is going to eventually attract attention.

      • Jay November 30, 2018, 9:18 am

Your lack of caring shows you don’t care about 2A rights as a whole but will let them nit pick them one item at a time till you have no guns period! You’ve successfully falling into the rat trap thinking!

      • Retrocon November 30, 2018, 9:22 am

        Except…

It’s an illegal rule. Force congress to change the NFA.

Otherwise, pistol braces are next, they make pistols into NFA SBRs, sort of like bump stocks do to machine guns.

I say, force a congressional trade… suppressors for bump stocks.

        • Rouge1 November 30, 2018, 11:09 am

I say let’s trade your semi guns for suppressors and your braces.

    • Stan d. Upnow November 30, 2018, 9:41 am

Well, aren’t you the optimistic one; a real fighter.
      Vote. Protest.

Every little thing that some Liberal group doesn’t like brings a firestorm of street protests, ACLU lawsuits, and promises from sympathetic Congress members.
      Why shouldn’t WE do likewise?
There are far too many wimpy Republicans in Congress and too many gun owners who throw-up their hands, do nothing, and say “oh, well.” Don’t be one of those!

  • MB November 30, 2018, 8:54 am

Bump stocks are just silly, that being said. No compromises, if they ban a piece of plastic, they will then ban real gun parts and ammo. Then only criminals and a tyrannical government will have guns. I will become a criminal to those who don’t believe in the Constitution. ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

  • sedonabear November 30, 2018, 8:54 am

What everyone needs to realize is that the government is expressly forbidden under the Constitution to have any guns at all or to make any judgements or rulings whatsoever that infringe in any way on an American’s ability to be armed with whatever is necessary to kill the government itself if necessary. The purpose of the Second Amendment is to protect the Second Amendment from government. There is ONLY one provision in the Constitution for anyone to be armed in any way, and that is for the People. There is nothing in the Constitution about any armed police force, or domestic military, or armed federal agencies. Nothing. However, the Constitution presumes that the United States will be populated with people who are “united” and not filled with unpatriotic crazy idiots and mass murderers.

    • Wayne R Cook November 30, 2018, 9:15 am

The law and Constitution isn’t worth the parchment it was bled to produce. Half our population hasn’t read it and don’t respect those of us who have. In prinicple I agree, but there are kids in my town who can’t even cross the street without nearly dying from stupidity.

      • boydmj December 1, 2018, 6:59 am

I would be surprised if even 10% of the pop has read the constitution…we are so lazy…just leave it to the Harvard and Yale trained experts.

  • Ghost November 30, 2018, 8:43 am

All this ban will do is turn a lot of Patriot American’s into criminals…..Sound Familiar ?

  • Larry November 30, 2018, 8:41 am

If you want to blame someone, Blame those dumb asses who come up with those items to try to go around federal regulations, Bump stocks, Make your own untraceable Glock, 3 D printed handguns and the rest of the crap that throws up a red flag to the feds. And the public’s children for buying this crap that has no real use and makes it harder for the gun owner with common sense.
In my 75+ years on this earth I have never had a problem with owning a legal firearm but in the last 10 years the independent manufactures of these items have become a thorn in the side of the government and new gullible gun owners buy these borderline items. Although I am a NRA member the NRA should have stepped up against these items when they first hit the market. Sorry but I feel no remorse for anyone who owns these items. Let the buyer beware.

    • Wayne R Cook November 30, 2018, 9:11 am

Agreed. Also think the NRA blew it on this one. And I’m a lifer.

    • Jay November 30, 2018, 9:28 am

The ones to blame are people just like you who just can’t grasp “Shall not be infringed” Your accessories you use are next!

    • Stan d. Upnow November 30, 2018, 9:55 am

Larry, bump stocks in themselves are a small issue. Know anyone that has one? I never did, and I worked in a gun shop for years; never sold a single one.
But, that’s not the issue. The issue is creeping, draconian gun control.

Just a few short years ago, the BATF decided ON ITS OWN to ban M855(green tip) ammo for AR’s on the false premise that it was “armor piercing.” The word got out before they adopted the plan and there was a huge howl for the firearms industry and gun owners. The BATF backed-down to “study” the matter further.

Lesson: BATF had No authority to unilaterally make a law banning Anything; yet they tried to. The federal govt. is too big, too removed from scrutiny, and populated with HUTA bureaucrats who know nothing & care less.
Ever hear that story about the priest and the Nazis? Learn from it.

  • Vepr November 30, 2018, 8:37 am

From what I understand this article is hogwash, there will be no 90 period to turn them in. You just won’t be able to legally buy them anymore without going through the same process as you do when you buy a silencer, etc.

    • Cam November 30, 2018, 9:20 am

So how will you sell them, they track them, they don’t have serial numbers or identification.
They would force you to register either a receiver, especially married to the stock, as some trigger packs are or to have a serial number burned, etched, etc to the bump stock.
Either way it would require an extra cash expenditure and essentially be a poll tax.

  • John November 30, 2018, 8:37 am

Bumpfire stocks should have never been legal in first place. If they were going to outlaw them they should have given people the chance to pay the tax stamp of $200.00 if you thought you had to have one of these goofy looking stocks. The next thing will be the 80% receivers, those should have never been illegal also. I am more than happy to give up something that has no real use and is like a cheap toy to keep all the other stuff we can buy in this country. This isnt Trumps fault these were allowed under Obama. Like everything else that is screwed up that Trump has to get involved with. Dont think I am anti gun, I have some very cool toy. just use common sense to keep what is important.

    • Stan d. Upnow November 30, 2018, 10:06 am

John, I understand how you’re thinking and not saying you’re wrong. It’s only natural to think about something from your own perspective. But, look beyond that at the overall situation.

In January, we unfortunately will have a majority of Progressive-Socialists in the HOR that has unrelentingly expressed its anti-2nd A. plans. Every time they get anything they want along those lines, they say: “It’s a start, but there’s much more to do.”
Today it’s bump stocks, tomorrow it’s hi-cap mags, then all semi-autos, etc., etc., etc..
      Get the picture?

    • D.J. November 30, 2018, 10:26 am

      John ,
” I am more than happy to give up something ……………..”
” Those whom would give up a freedom , for security
deserve neither ” Sound familiar to you , friend ?

  • Willy November 30, 2018, 8:27 am

Trump may be sly as a fox, think about this. What are the odds this will make it to the Supreme Court for a ruling, the NEW Supreme Court Trump fought so hard for. We’ve wanted 2A cases to be taken up. Now think of the optics, they take this case and affirm the 2A! And against Trump! How can the left lay the blame at Trump’s feet, “his” Supreme Court followed the Constitution and ruled against him, again, think optics.

And all this using these bump stocks as the targeted objective which will have the least impact as possible on gun owners as it plays out, or would you rather we wait until the left bans AR’s and all semi-auto’s and we have to fight that out. The left won the house and already they are talking about these bans, (or we’ll nuke you!) A Supreme Court ruling bypasses both the houses, it’s done and put to bed, finally!

    • Wayne R Cook November 30, 2018, 9:15 am

      Willy, TOUCHE!

    • Stan d. Upnow November 30, 2018, 10:11 am

If only! Given that that actually happens, do you seriously think the Progressive-Socialist Liberals will stop pushing for their outrageous gun-control agenda?
If you believe that, I’ve some nice lakefront property on Mars I’ll sell you(cash only).

  • Charles November 30, 2018, 8:24 am

From what I am reading on 3 different sites, it says guns with bump stocks are banned, and the sale and use of bump stocks is banned, No where has it said, the ownership of an uninstalled bump stock is against the law. SO if you have one installed (I don’t have any, as I just see them as barrel burners) and uninstall it, then there is not reason to turn it in. You just cannot use it or sale it.

    • Mike V December 2, 2018, 2:34 am

No, it would be treated the same as a lightning link or dias, its mere unregistered existence all by itself is in violation.

  • kryptos November 30, 2018, 8:19 am

To all those who couldn’t care less about this unconstitutional move because they don’t like or own a bumpstock: That’s not the point. Do not forget the words of Martin Niemoller concerning the Nazis:

    First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a communist;
    Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a socialist;
    Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a trade unionist;
    Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out – because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak out for me.”

    • Stan d. Upnow November 30, 2018, 10:13 am

      Exactly!

  • MagicRooster November 30, 2018, 8:15 am

    What bumpstock??

  • Ray carrino November 30, 2018, 8:12 am

The militia will always have what we need set aside to protect America and our rights.
Bumpstocks are not the problem this is just a small start to more control of what we own! One day gasoline will require a permit to buy!
Fertilizer is being looked at for years now.
Bad people will find a way to do bad things we just need to be able and willing to defend ourself.

  • King Paris November 30, 2018, 7:58 am

I don’t care about bumpstocks and don’t believe that this is the start of a rolling snowball on gun rights. If it came to legislation that stated you would actually have to turn in your guns, it would be war.
The gun owning community in this country represents the largest civilian army in the world, and no wussie leftist legislation could ever defeat those who would rather die than not be free. I’ll wait and pick my battle wisely. Btw, we love the president in our home and don’t appreciate the disrespectful tone of some of you commenting here. Save that for your real enemies, and there are many.

    • Hardtimez November 30, 2018, 8:41 am

You may be the largest army but the military has nukes. Remember it was a goper who stated use nukes on you. So in defending your 2a rights you wish to infringe on our 1a to call out that POS trump? Amazing.

      • Rouge1 November 30, 2018, 11:19 am

House Democrat Eric Swalwell said that the government would nuke gun owners FOOL not a gop congressman.

    • johnnyraygun November 30, 2018, 8:42 am

Concerning “your president”. “His people” have been involved with AMERICA’s biggest threat,,,, Russia and Putin.. There is a direct connection between Manifort. Flynn, Cohen, Papadolas(and more) and conspiracy with foreign agents and governments.. With multiple indictments and guilty pleas,,,, there is certainly plenty of questions concerning your president’s judgement. Throw in the constant lies, over 6,400 and counting and Donnie has done nothing to garner my respect.
Donnie has had total control of all branches of Government and did not get the hearing protection act or Reciprocity acts passed. The only benefit, as a gun owner, I have seen, is lower prices. Your president only supports the A2, for the votes. He throws people under the Bus daily, ask Michael Cohen

      • Wayne R Cook November 30, 2018, 9:21 am

News flash. “Donnie” only has control of two agencies so far. And that only recently. Wake up. Reality is knocking. Cohen should been under the bus years ago. He’s a lying sob.

        • Evil November 30, 2018, 11:34 am

So, Trump is so smart that he will only surround himself with the best peoples, but a pos like Cohen lasted HOW long in his organization? If he was so bad, why didn’t Donnie fire him years ago? I remember him singing cohens praises just mere months ago, now he says he was never any good? Which cheek are we to believe when our leader talks out of his posterior, between the gluteus Maximus?

      • Stan d. Upnow November 30, 2018, 10:23 am

I’m not going to get into it with you for what you said(although I’m tempted), but for one exception—-
Trump is the president, therefore Does Not “control all branches of Government.”
Your ignorance on that matter mirrors your ignorance on the others.

    • Hardtimez November 30, 2018, 8:45 am

Your so called army would cower at the feet of US military. In defending your 2a rights you want to infringe our 1a rights to call out that POS trump? Amazing

      • freeman November 30, 2018, 10:36 am

Please continue to believe that the US military are not people, but machines that blindly do what they are programmed. I know more O6 and up than I will admit, and I assure you that if “the federal government” orders them to turn on their homeland, the feds will be left holding an empty bag. if they or you think they can order the military to full out attack (and as you claim, nuke) their families and friends for organizing to resist a corrupt government. I assure you that the military (real US humans) will by great majority ignore such orders and walk/run home to protect their families and communities from the tiny percentage that would obey such a horrific order. Thus, the “insignificant armed populace” will grow and be filled with trained former military.

      • H November 30, 2018, 2:21 pm

@Hardtimez I take it you’ve never watched the News to see how good insurgency does against the U.S. Military. Remember, it’s likely a 3rd of the Military would join the insurgency.

    • Dewey November 30, 2018, 11:17 am

What “freedoms” do you actually have? There are no absolute rights. All “rights” are regulated, some more so than others. Do you honestly believe that the US is the only country that has freedom? You three-pers talk a brave game but by your own definition of tyranny, you should have tarted “saving the country” a long time ago.
Go watch Braveheart a few more times, you’ll feel better then.

  • Gary November 30, 2018, 7:56 am

Yes I’m my opinion they should have never been legal in the first place it is indeed the ATF fault.
You can’t buy or sell a machine gun with out the ol $200 extra fee government stamp of approval so why did they legalize the bump stock in the first place!!

People that are crazy will use stick and stones if needed to accomplish their goal of hurting someone but why give the crazy people ways to help them accomplish those goals in a mass distraction way.

Back ground checks are lacking etc etc.

When I bought my first hand gun And Wanted to get a conceal permit I had to bring my gun and present it to the local sheriff for approval and I had to be screened in why I needed it !

Which was because I was a business owner and had to handle money and then do night deposits for that money.

    So aka for protection

Today as soon as your 21 Bam you can buy a gun and get a concealed permit

    Way too lax today

    • Hardtimez November 30, 2018, 8:49 am

The military will give a gun at 18.

    • Wayne R Cook November 30, 2018, 9:09 am

Can’t get a CWP today by walking in and presenting a pistol Fingerprints, application, 6 hours of class, test, wait for the results. Process takes about 3 weeks minimum in Texas. Oh and $200 for fees. It was more when I took mine.

  • l November 30, 2018, 7:56 am

my opinion of this low-life we have put in the driver’s seat have not changed. from review of other’s thoughts,i’m no longer alone in my feelings. remember i’m the asshole who voted for mccain. and all you have to do is “grab em’ by the pussy”.

  • Rodney A Thompson November 30, 2018, 7:55 am

If you have a belt loop on your pants……….you have a “bump stock”.
What’s next, a ban on belt loops ?

  • srsquidizen November 30, 2018, 7:53 am

I’m among those who doesn’t own a bump stock but have no problem with plinkers who like to burn through a lot of ammo in a hurry for entertainment (pretty much what it’s good for). What’s troubling here is that this is the first weapon or accessory to face total nationwide ban for being used in just ONE criminal act, an aberration choreographed by a single mysterious lunatic which remains inexplicable to this day.

IF a “Justice Department official” can simply proclaim something illegal because he/she deems it the same as something else, what’s next? Look for certain perfectly legal home-defense shotguns to be banned next because bureaucrats at the Justice Dept. have decided they are equivalent to a “sawed off shotgun.”

    • John joseph Regina November 30, 2018, 8:40 am

I agree completely. It is just the beginning. The lunatic left will be howling over their victory and they will announce that it is only the beginning. They want to disarm Americans because they fear us and it stands in their way to their main objective. A totalitarian socialist state . If the Russian people were armed the way Americans are Stalin would have been done away with way early in his murderous career.

  • bjc November 30, 2018, 7:51 am

The Comment hope everyone remembers this in 2020. What are you going to do vote for a damned democrat, you fool! The Bump stock is noting but a toy to waste ammo. Shot them and seen them used at out local range, thought they were a POS.

  • johnnyraygun November 30, 2018, 7:45 am

First off, lets stop the lie. Early bump stocks were of no real value as far as useful tool. Today’s designed bumps are much improved. Add a muzzle device like a Lantac compensator and blast mitigation device and you have a firearm equal to military’s full auto AR. Another weak argument, it is a waste of ammo. DUH, so is shooting any firearm a waste of money. So is going out to dinner a waste of money, along with the movie theater, going to Vegas and eating FOOD. Many things are a waste of money, the question, what the hell does wasting ammo have to do with the subject. Laws are passed by congress and can be vetoed by Donnie, if he so chooses.

  • Rick November 30, 2018, 7:32 am

Well kids, the ban is already real in MA and NJ. The penalty in MA is life.

There don’t have to be confiscations to make this ban “work”. Owners couldn’t use them, because they would be heard and potentially caught. Owners who got nailed with a “red flag” order would probably have it discovered and there you are. An owner who had police in his house for, say, a burglary report might have it spotted. Etc, etc, etc.

What is the purpose of owning something that, for practical purposes, can’t be used?

  • Paul November 30, 2018, 7:29 am

Stop worrying about bumpstocks and start worrying about who is getting into the House of Representatives.
There may be millions of gun owners and enthusiasts in this country, but that means nothing if people like Chuck Schumer, Michael Bloomberg, Barack Obama and the rest of the socialists continue to prevail. By continuing to allow these people to run our government, you are saying that you are not willing to do enough to protect these rights. Think about it.

    • Ruff rider November 30, 2018, 8:04 am

Did you read the story? This is from TRUMP. Wake up.

      • johnnyraygun November 30, 2018, 8:52 am

Thank you for the truth. I can never vote for one ideal or one party.
It would be a nightmare to think the “Left” can take our firearms. There are more firearms than people in America. Confiscating 350+ million firearms is literally impossible. Vote with your conscience and rest assure the A2 has be overturned first. NO easy task, in a democratic republic.

  • luckieboy November 30, 2018, 7:24 am

all the excuses and bullshit aside this is just wrong. i too will remember this in 2020. maybe by then trump’s taxes will be known to the serfs of this country. what a sorry state of affairs we believers have created.

    • Dr Motown November 30, 2018, 8:07 am

Yeah, I’m sure the Dummycrats will have a 2A-supporting candidate for whom you can vote….

  • johnnyraygun November 30, 2018, 7:15 am

Those who voted for Donnie, thinking your firearms were safe, you were lied to. This President could care less about A2, just winning, winning, winning and money. He will not get my vote, EVER

    • Dr Motown November 30, 2018, 8:08 am

And you’ll find a 2A-supporting Dummycrat to get your vote? Of maybe join the 1% Libertarian Party?

      • Cam November 30, 2018, 9:13 am

        Nailed it!

  • Buck November 30, 2018, 7:12 am

You screwed up, Blannelberry. First of all you quoted the Communist News Network. Can’t believe anything they say on any given day that ends in ‘y’. Second, whatever is said is unenforceable, who know who has what. Third, it’s unconstitutional for violating at least three amendments. It sounds like you’re trying to get a rise out of the masses, which by looking at the other comments, you’ve accomplished. Nice work, for a Friday. have a nice weekend…

    • johnnyraygun November 30, 2018, 7:19 am

CNN, “Communist news network”. You bought into that lie,,,, hook, line and sinker. Donnie could care less about firearms and the A2. Your part of the ignorant who think the President cares about America. For Donnie it is all about winning votes, not America. Get real and deal with a president who could care less about you, than the man in the moon.

      • Dr Motown November 30, 2018, 8:10 am

And who would care more about my firearms? HilBil? Corey Booker? Give us a name, oh wise one

        • Hardtimez November 30, 2018, 9:02 am

Well you can add trump to that list

    • Luke November 30, 2018, 9:44 am

Several on this board have Trump Derangement Syndrome. I’m not crazy about the guy either but given the alternative(s) he’s the best there is if you intend to legally own a firearm.

  • Four til Six November 30, 2018, 7:09 am

Everybody says these are range toys, take the time and set the rifle up to run one properly. They aren’t a magical solution to every situation but they can be a viable tool in a fight.

And folks it looks like a fight is coming…atleast for those who will fight tyranny.

  • Jon November 30, 2018, 7:06 am

Although I Do Not Support the Manufacture and Sale of a Product Designed to “Work Around” Existing Laws, Banning These Outright is a Congressional Process.
I Fired one of these Bump Devices at my local range. Not Impressed. Waste of Ammo sprayed with No Accuracy!

    • Stevie November 30, 2018, 9:38 am

Looking at the way you use capital letters, are you sure your name isn’t Don, rather than Jon?

  • Richard White November 30, 2018, 6:57 am

    Everyone before…”CNN is fake news!”
Everyone now… “Quick everyone look at what CNN says!”

You will all have to excuse me if I refuse to take CNN’s word for anything. They say the sky is blue or rain is wet and I’m looking out the window to make sure.

    • johnnyraygun November 30, 2018, 7:23 am

Back to Fox and F _ _ ks and the spin zone for you. Blaming CNN, is like shooting the messenger and ignoring the message. Donnie has veto power for any law coming out of Congress, you will see the truth soon.

      • Luke November 30, 2018, 9:45 am

You’ve got TDS or FDS, one or the other. That, and you’re among those who will not see the truth until it’s pointed right at your head.

  • Thomas Gruber November 30, 2018, 6:54 am

Trump will give lip service to the 2nd Amendment. That’s all. He caves under pressure.

  • David Kent November 30, 2018, 6:47 am

“Given the apathy of the gun community on this issue, it looks like you’re on your own.”

Although I support the 2nd Amendment/slippery slope principle that should have all of us resisting this, from a practical standpoint I can also understand the apathy. The vast majority of real, informed, well trained gun enthusiasts wouldn’t own one anyway. They’re a gimmick that turns an accurate rifle into a into a glorified shotgun that’s expensive to run. I’d speculate that if the Vegas shooter had used semi auto aimed fired instead of a bump stock, the casualties would have been much higher.

    • srsquidizen November 30, 2018, 8:14 am

Agree a skilled marksman aiming a suppressed sniper rifle could probably have inflicted more casualties and done so before his exact location could even be pinned down.

Banning bump stocks to prevent another hotel window massacre is like banning box cutters to prevent another 9/11.

  • r boyd November 30, 2018, 6:13 am

I have used one but never bought one. Pretty much a gun toy to me ,I can fire faster without one . This opens the door to ATF doesn’t like something they just ban it . It’s bad enough the people can’t buy a post 1986 real machine gun. Baning things doesn’t stop crime it just takes things from honest people . I have never heard of a bump stock used in a crime until the Vegas shooting. This is a true infringement of the 2A of the American people . This is only the beginning folks if they get away with this . What happened to due process? Why isn’t there a grandfather clause ? It’s wrong all together to me and many others to limit us on what we can own. Most people I know used them a few times then put the away . They are more of a novelty than anything. Goes to show big government will due as they please at any time . No compensation for turn ins is a whole issue in its self ,hard earned money taken from the people .

  • Riggarob November 30, 2018, 5:47 am

How do “they” know if a person has one ? I’ve always wondered about that.

    • Luke November 30, 2018, 9:49 am

“They” don’t know if you have one. This just creates another layer of fear and forced subversion for legal gun owners. Which of your ‘friends’ is going to make an anonymous phone call to the local LEO? That’s the problem with all these laws chipping away at the Constitution – some will blindly follow and think they’re doing the right thing by turning you in.

  • TRU November 30, 2018, 5:38 am

    Uh huh…. ok.
Come get it. Single shot fired per trigger pull. 100% not a machine gun. I agree entiely that it is useless other than as a range toy. But that is my right and i will continue uphold my rights even when the good old USA tries to pick and choose which ones they still want me to have.

The frog just got several degrees hotter without jumping. Stick a fork in our Constitutional Rights and Due Process; they’re about done.

Looks like it’s time to start looking for a viable, able-to-win third party candidate or bring out the torches, pitchforks and guillotines. The donkeys and the elephants, even Trump, are just two sides of the same corrupt, oligarchical, fascist coin!

  • A$$3ole November 30, 2018, 5:17 am

  • Eric November 30, 2018, 4:37 am

    • Hardtimez November 30, 2018, 8:17 am

Its being referred to as TRUMPbump ban

  • billt November 30, 2018, 3:56 am

I wouldn’t bet on any great number of people complying. Unlike firearms purchased with 4473 Forms, they have no idea who owns these things. New York rammed the “Safe Act” through several years back, and it still is facing around a 90% lack of compliance. And not one individual has ever been arrested. And they touted stiff penalties as well. This will simply be yet another unenforceable law, piled on to tens of thousands of others, that languish on the books. People are getting fed up with being legislated into criminals.

    • Hardtimez November 30, 2018, 8:18 am

The point is Trump banned them

    • Jimbob November 30, 2018, 9:34 am

oh – It will be enforceable. I seriously doubt the game warden is going to let you put it back in the truck after he catches you mincing a cactus.

  • NavyVet1959 November 30, 2018, 3:56 am

I don’t own one and since I reload my own ammo, I don’t particularly have a desire to have any accessory that allows me to shot in minutes what might have taken hours to reload, but the very idea of this is extremely offensive to me. This is extreme overreach by the federal government and people need to resist. I’m a Life Member of the NRA, but they’ll never get another dollar from me because of how they caved on this issue.

One of the problems in the US is that the federal agencies get to create their own rules instead of just following legislation passed by Congress. This needs to stop.

We would like to think that the Constitution protects us from the federal government taking our property without just compensation, but that has not always been the case. All you have to do is look at how Lincoln raped the Constitution during the War of Northern Aggression to see how far we’ve slid since the Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution. Lincoln’s “freeing the slaves” was nothing more than taking property from the legal owners of said property without just compensation. Maybe we don’t agree with the concept of slavery these days, but it doesn’t change the fact that the government took that “property” from the owners.

    • Ignorant comment November 30, 2018, 6:32 am

The fact that you are using slavery as a example on something as trivial as bump stocks is ignorant and flat out stupidity. People are not properly and any racist bigot that comes looking to enact compensation from slavery can and will get 2 shots, a cold body and black dress…

      • Tj November 30, 2018, 6:53 am

        IC
If you had any reading comprehension skills you would understand exactly what NavyVet 1959 was saying.
In plain english he was basically saying the government is using a tragedy to chip away at the rights of American’s, just like Lincoln did but took valuable land.
If your old enough to remember when real history was taught then you would know that slavery was a very small part of the civil war…….

“That’s all I got to say about that” F.G

        Tj

        • Hardtimez November 30, 2018, 8:27 am

If memory serves me correct. The southern insurrectionists fired the 1st shot. This was after Lincoln publicly stated the south could keep their slaves if they remained in the Union.

          • NMS November 30, 2018, 11:27 am

Thank you so very much for making a statement that actually illustrates the truth of that war. Based on your comment that “the south could keep their slaves if they stayed in the union” the fact that those particular states continued the move for separation proves that slavery was NOT the reason for that war. If it were all about slavery as the masses have been programmed, then why would the southern states not just say ok, no war, and keep their slaves? This action and your comment about it prove that slavery be damned, the war was for the protection of states’ rights (which is what lincoln’s offer would have cost the south in trade for keeping their slaves).

Thanks again for your statement about that historical event. I will certainly use your comment in the future to resolve debates regarding the war of northern aggression being all about slavery.

        • John November 30, 2018, 8:54 am

TJ you need some thicker skin. I am so tired of everything turned into race. I am not a racist, just dont like your attitude. You could be as white as a ghost and I still dont like you.

            John
I would say your the thin skinned white boy here. If you had any kind of comprehensive skills you would understand what I was trying to explain.
Whether you or anyone one else likes me I could care less. The fact still stands that the government will continue to chip away at ALL of our rights as individuals and give any pathetic reason for it.
            Tj

    • Dr Motown November 30, 2018, 8:15 am

Doubtful the NRA could’ve stopped this anyways. Federal overreach from unelected bureaucrats has been infesting our gubbmint for decades before the silly bump stocks came along

  • 2A November 30, 2018, 3:54 am

“only Congress can pass laws prohibiting weapons”

What part of “shall not be infringed” is so hard for people to understand? Only Congress can pass laws, but the only reason they’ve been allowed to pass laws prohibiting weapons is due to the casual way that the Supreme Court was used to deconstruct the Constitution. Congratulations, it took 231 years, but the Constitution is null and void as of this. This is the final act.

  • Dustin Eward November 30, 2018, 3:30 am

“Bump stocks turn semiautomatic guns into illegal machine guns.”

    This is a demonstrable lie.
Bump stocks have zero impact on the speed at which any gun can be bump fired.
The only difference is the ability to control and aim it while you bump fire.
Such a ban sends us back to “spray and pray.”
Bump Stocks are safety upgrades that allow proper control of the gun while bump firing.
Banning safety upgrades, where have I heard this before, oh, right, the NFA is full of it… Suppressors, Veritcal Fore Grips…

  • cmf November 30, 2018, 3:26 am

This is an issue that proves the fringe lunatics on BOTH ends are just that—NUTS! Those of us that have waited 9 months and have paid tens of thousands of dollars to own a REAL auto found these pieces cheesy and insulting! The one comment from the other side saying get rid of the AR15 proves you can’t make those CREEPS happy! The NRA, another bunch of whackos threw this one away because, as CREEPY as they are, they knew this one cheated the whole system of fairness, not to mention they REALLY are JUNK! Shut up and move on, pick the battles worth fighting or ALL of us that love 2A will be in trouble!!!

    • allblues November 30, 2018, 9:37 am

As someone who owns more than a dozen NFA items I can somewhat understand your position, but you’re mssing the big picture. Machine guns, as you undoubtedly know, are precisely defined by law. Bumpfire stocks, “cheesy” or not, do not turn a semi auto into a MG. They may simulate full auto fire, but MGs are not defined by rate of fire. What we have here is lawmaking by the executive branch of gooberment, aided
and abetted by a regulatory agency. It takes little imagination to conjure up scenarios utterly repugnant to the Constitution, and if SCOTUS does not strike this down we are headed into dangerous territory.

BTW, I do not own a bumpfire stock, even though as a resident of The Peoples Republic of Washinton State, I have no access to legal MG ownership, and a bumpfire stock is the only alternative. I have no dog in this fight, other than fealty to theConstitution and rule of law.

    • Mike V November 30, 2018, 9:57 am

      Spoken like an elitest.

Maybe most of us can’t plunk down the cash for a pre 86 full auto.

      Fairness?

There isn’t anything fair about pre 86 class 3
ownership, artificially inflated cost, nothing but investments now.

One could say all the rules regarding true full auto were enabled and encouraged by the same apathy, disregard, and indifference being shown by gun rights supporters now with bump stocks.

As stated by many others, this doesn’t end here, same tactics will be used for other ends.

  • Luke Garou November 29, 2018, 10:31 pm

  • Blue Dog November 29, 2018, 2:54 pm

Well, that took longer than it should have. Now how about AR-15s and other modern sporting rifles? ;D

    • Timothy Bunn November 30, 2018, 3:31 am

Once they take the bump stocks, which by the way, I can do the same thing with a rubber band, then they have set up the ability to take guns. Then, once we are disarmed, they can take away free speech. Then you can’t even make this comment…

    • Slim November 30, 2018, 3:57 am

I hope your joking! It’s a joke how everyone wants the AR’s to go like there some crazy fast shooting gun. Any semi auto rifle will shoot at the same basic rate as it’s pretty much limited to the shooters finger and not how fast the rifle can actually run if the shooter could pull the trigger faster. And even if they eliminated semi autos and limit us to moly action only. Ever seen how fast someone can shoot one with just a little bit of practice and zero training? Think about it, how long would it take you to pull a lever back and down, then in reverse? 1 second… Maybe 2?! And that’s if your a total novice for the above times. Our military along with so many others had no problem learning very fast how to shoot a bolt action with pretty fast rates of fire. Yeah, not like a semi auto of course. But if were talking about what a gun can do to a place like the loon did in Vegas a bolt action and a good scope honestly if bet a bolt action would do much more deadly shots. Even snipers today mostly all use a bolt action rifle so clearly they’re effective. And what all these anti gunners are thinking as a person who wouldn’t break the law. Problem is only criminals do mass or any type of crminal shooting so why bother with taking legal gun owners guns when law breakers will always have guns and don’t mind using them. I’ve owned an AR for more than eight or nine years and have maybe a hundred rounds through it. Have a couple of new ones in different calibers I haven’t even shot yet, so we’re not all out there just shooting $hit up! Read the link that came along with this posting about how mass shootings now being more than ever being fake news. And say they take every gun from us, I saw some loon who stabbed 7-8 people in seven seconds on a bus that came via these emails a few months back. So no matter what there’s always going to be crazy people out there that want to hurt others for no reason. I can bet if someone was trying to kill you that you’d wish you had a gun on you! FACT!

  • SuperG November 29, 2018, 10:44 am

It’s unconstitutional. Sadly, an American will have to face 10 years in prison and spend thousands of dollars to prove it. If this keeps up, with government overstepping its bounds, I can see revolution coming.

    • Andrew November 30, 2018, 9:43 am

Millions of dollars, and be years without being able to own one.
Assuming those “9 guys in black robes” rule in your favor, after 10 years or so that it takes to get the case appealed that high, of course.

    • Jimbob November 30, 2018, 10:01 am

      Let’s do it!

  • Mike V November 28, 2018, 10:11 pm

  • Tessa Pegram November 28, 2018, 8:57 pm

They’re a range toy at best. From what I’ve seen, you’re better off bump firing without one. Of course I’m preaching to the choir on this. It is disappointing how the GOP just folded up and said “since it is Trump it is fine.”

    • Dr Motown November 30, 2018, 8:19 am

Most gun owners don’t care about bump stocks anyways, considering them a useless range toy that was going to get us into trouble someday if a nut case used one in a mass shooting. So, there wasn’t even support among gun owners to stop this, let alone the GOP
