Overview

Since its inception in 2007, the Caracal pistol has been seen as an exotic, foreign-born, wonderment. Well, exotic and foreign-born no longer. As of this year, the Caracal enhanced F pistol will be made in the good old USofA!

With a new Headquarters in Boise, ID, I guess this is a good time to say welcome to the neighborhood!

Clay checking out the quick-sight sighting system.

The enhanced F pistol has some cool new options, including RMR cuts and a new quick-sight sighting system.  Basically, the quick-sight system moves the rear sights, typically located on the end of the slide, and moves them up on the slide in front of the ejection port.  This gives you about a 1-inch sight radius, which in theory should be very fast to acquire.

I am going to have to test that one for myself, but that should be easy to do given my proximity to the HQ (If it wasn’t obvious, I live in the Gem state, too). The F series retains the low bore axis that has made it popular and easy to shoot as well as the solid ergonomic base that makes it nice to handle.

What else do they have in store for 2017?

Lastly, be on the lookout for some military introductions later this year.

You guys are awesome! Love my Caracal F pistol and am selling my AR platform just so I can get yours! It is not your standard AR people. It is different in many ways. Love that grip as well. Modeled after the pistol, that is just genius! Thanks again Jeff and Caracal for all you do!

Isn’t this the one designed in Dubai or Saudi Arabia?

    • Bobo February 1, 2017, 1:26 pm

Yes and no, Caracal is a UAE company, however the gun was designed by Wilhem Bubits who also designed the Styer pistols and worked for Glock. IMO it’s a product line to keep an eye on for sure.

Can’t wait for your Compact pistol to come back to the market. Loved my 1st gen. Out of the box, better ergonomics, trigger and sights versus my Glock 19.

The compact would be the one I’d be waiting on as well.
