Urban gun enthusiast Colion Noir appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” this week to discuss the spectacle that was the Democratic debate on Tuesday night in South Carolina.
Among the highlights, actually lowlights if we’re being honest, was former Vice President Joe Biden’s claim that “150 million people” have been killed in the U.S. as a result of gun violence since 2007. That’s roughly half the population!
“To me, that’s one of the most disheartening parts of this,” Noir observed. “We’re talking about one of the most important constitutional rights in this country but these individuals who are calling themselves leaders don’t know the first thing about the subject they’re talking about.”
“They get their talking points, get in front of the camera and spew misinformation to millions of people and the people believe it,” he continued.
Biden’s campaign had to quickly retract that statement and say that what the 77-year-old presidential candidate meant to say was “150,000 people” have been killed over that span of time.
“I always go back to this point,” Noir said. “At the end of the day, the overall goal is control. They don’t really care about what the facts say. At this point, from what we’ve seen, from all the candidates that have been on stage talking about the Second Amendment and gun control … we should all understand that this is about restricting the Second Amendment into oblivion.”

“This isn’t about saving lives, this isn’t about trying to find a balance and have a conversation,” Noir continued, “because if it was, they wouldn’t be talking about how they destroyed the NRA [National Rifle Association], they would be saying ‘How do we balance protecting people’s rights while trying to save lives in some manner that makes sense and that’s plausible without taking away people’s constitutional rights?'”
Noir’s right, of course. Every Democratic presidential candidate on the debate stage has at one time or another bragged about their antipathy for the National Rifle Association.
Do they not realize that the NRA is one of the country’s oldest civil rights organizations with a membership of over 5 million people (If the NRA was a state, it’d have a larger population than Alabama!)? And to attack the NRA is to attack its membership — men and women who have done nothing wrong but to celebrate and exercise their Constitutionally-protected right to keep and bear arms?
When Biden says, “If I’m elected — NRA, I’m coming for you, and gun manufacturers, I’m gonna take you on and I’m gonna beat you,” what he means is, as Noir pointed out, he is going to restrict the 2A into oblivion.
That’s not something a president would say… that’s something a tyrant would say.

One bone to pick with the article: why call him “Urban gun enthusiast Colion Noir”? How about just “gun rights advocate”?
Colion is sharp, insightful and articulates sensible gun ownership better than 80% of most conservative politicos.
Using “urban” seems sloppy at best and derogatory at worst. Give Mr Noir his due.
I maybe wrong, but as a presidential candidate I thought that there was some sort of prerequisite that had to be attained. Such as, the ability to understand and state facts….that can be verified by more than one other source, to be able to articulate in a clear manner without misinterpretation or misunderstanding. To be able to calm and reassure the people, who you work for, without stirring up more troubles and to up-hold the law of the land as it was written by the founders of this nation.
Sure things can change by the will of the people, remember prohibition, some thought that it needed to be enacted to save lives, then that was not the case and it was repelled. This, just as an example because my thoughts, feelings, about alcohol are my business and I deal with it in my own way without shoving onto someone else or impinging on anyone else about their choices for their way of life.
I have an idea, lets add an amendment to the Constitution that all parents are responsible for their child’s actions to the age of 30. So with any gang activity, the parents have to pay reparations or go to jail. There would be a lot more parental attention (beatings) and discipline for those foolish enough to step out of line if they could bankrupt their parents.
