Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook. What’s he up to these day? Has he had a change of heart on his millions of pro-2A users?

It’s no secret: top execs at Facebook do not like guns, and they’re more than happy to enforce the President’s vision of a disarmed America by any extra-legal means necessary.

Yesterday, things got even worse. Gizmodo reported that Mark Zuckerberg’s ire extends beyond guns, describing in a lengthy article how former Facebook “news curators” routinely suppressed conservative news stories on the website’s “trending” news section.

A former news curator and journalist told Gizmodo that “workers prevented stories about the right-wing CPAC gathering, Mitt Romney, Rand Paul, and other conservative topics from appearing in the highly-influential section, even though they were organically trending among the site’s users.”

“Depending on who was on shift, things would be blacklisted or trending,” the former curator continued. “I believe it had a chilling effect on conservative news.”

Other examples of blackballed news items include former IRS official Lois Lerner, who was accused by Republicans of inappropriately scrutinizing conservative groups; Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker; popular conservative news aggregator the Drudge Report; Chris Kyle, the former Navy SEAL who was murdered in 2013; and former Fox News contributor Steven Crowder.

According to Gizmodo’s report, Facebook presents their news stories as organically “trending,” when in reality their team of young, Ivy-Leave, East Cost news curators choose which stories to inject or exclude, sometimes promoting stories that aren’t organically trending at all.

This is perhaps what causes the most consternation among conservatives and pro-gun Facebook users. Facebook portrays itself as an unbiased third party, a tool that can be used by anyone with a computer and a modem. The truth is that Facebook is just as biased as any other anti-gun media outlet, and they’re not afraid to flex their muscles to promote their agenda.

Fortunately, there is a silver lining—two, in fact.

The first is that Facebook users are fighting back against the site’s ban on private gun sales. As this anti-gun Forbes article laments, Facebook’s ban isn’t working. Secret firearms groups have been able to avoid detection by overzealous anti-gun users, and pro-gun users have developed posting methods that allow them to avoid detection.

The second silver lining comes from an unexpected place: within Facebook itself.

Chuck Rossi is a director of engineering at Facebook, and, according to Forbes, has been described by pro-gun Facebook users as “a good guy working for us behind enemy lines,” “one of our allies,” “a man who gives us hope,” and, “the ultimate badass.” He’s one of Facebook’s most prominent gun enthusiasts, and he’s made it his unofficial mission to support gun groups struggling to survive in a hostile environment.

Rossi is the leader of the “Admin Contact” group, a secret group of administrators for gun enthusiast pages from around the country.

“I am 100% laser focused on getting your groups back to you so you have a chance to get them to comply with the new policy,” Rossi wrote on the group’s page shortly after the private sale ban was announced. “It is my sole freaking purpose in life until it is done. I’m dumping extra work on my mangers (sic) and my teams to cover for me while I take on this new role. I know this new policy sucks. I personally don’t agree with it and everyone in Facebook is pissed about how it was rolled out.”

Gun control groups have not been happy. “We’ve shut down thousands (of posts and group pages), reporting hundreds per day. And then we see them pop back up again, which is really upsetting,” said a woman who has organized recent volunteer efforts to flag gun sales on Facebook.

“Facebook allows admins to either remove posts, and be reinstated, or remove members, but then do the same thing again,” the organizer said. “It’s like trying to scoop the ocean with a sieve.”

This is good news for gun enthusiasts on Facebook, but the fight is far from over. Gun control via the marketplace—rather than via state or federal legislation—is looking like the new anti-gun tactic. The anti-gun lobby hasn’t been able to accomplish their goals through representatives of the people, so they’re turning to private corporations like Facebook or lawsuits against gun manufacturers. Individuals like Chuck Rossi are fighting the good fight, but it’s up to all supporters of the Second Amendment to stay vigilant if we want to maintain our right to keep and bear arms.

Facebook could be sued for false advertising for misrepresenting their trending news as organically trending. For those that say that Facebook can do whatever it wants with impunity I say Fadebook is like a Sams Club which is a business that is open to the public but requires a membership. Facebook can not legally discriminate against protected classes. They also could be charged for conspiracy to deprive of rights as well.

I’m not into things like Fakebook, Yourspace, or any of them. That having been said, they’re a problem because the up and coming generations are ALL into them, so Fakebook and the lot of them are using that advantage to take control of them no differently than gangs take in youngsters that have no guidance or love from parents, and turn them into mindless zombies, in this case murderers of OUR 2nd Amendment, Constitution in general, and therefore OUR nation. Anti-American leftists and gangbangers aren’t that much different in my mind in that they are both cancerous.

I never used Facebook. I never will use facebook. We need more people like Chuck Rossi to stand up and be noticed.

  • Pseudomind May 13, 2016, 8:24 pm

No mention of many others yahoo, msnbc, USA Today etc. there is boa tusk “news” anymore, only brainwashing and propogandising for the mindless Sheople. Just watch any supposedly “news” story and see how much of both sides of the story you receive?

And now for your audio/video lobotomy subliminal message referred to as “news.”

They don’t like the bill of rights and they prefer just-us over justice.

I am in awe at the number of people who waste their time and lives in constant communication with
an equal number of like minded people that feel that speaking to a wall is important – Clint had it right

I can’t stop laughing that you are making a big deal about this as FOX calls itself fair and balanced.
There are a million biased news sites out there.

    • Bisley May 13, 2016, 7:47 pm

Which means that the great majority of the public are making their decisions (particularly voting) based on incomplete and inaccurate information (more often, just a pack of lies). Quit laughing, idiot — the leftist inclination of the news industry (and the education industry) is brainwashing and destroying the country.

Facebook is following in the footsteps of Ebay’s Steve Westly from back in the late 90s. It was common knowledge in the political circles of California that Westly had Ebay prohibit all firearm sales at the end of 1998 in anticipation of running for office.

  • Bisley May 13, 2016, 11:32 am

This is not confined to Facebook. The great majority of internet sites, search engines and news organizations do the same sort of censorship. What they display is generally intended to promote their particular political views, and anything to the contrary is hidden, disparaged, or distorted. Anyone seeking accurate and complete information will have to put in some extra time, and go off the beaten track to find it. This is how the majority of the public has been conned into electing the gang of liars, crooks and idiots who control most of our government today (and are in the process of destroying the country).

  • Crossnet May 13, 2016, 10:48 am

It is completely obvious that FakeBook, Google, the Federal Government, are all trying to control the narrative of life as they would like it to be. What\they are really creating is a parallel universe with their Utopia, Lord knows they will get plenty of supporters and useful idiots to go along with them, and what is true reality and how human nature actually is. People want to be free, unobstructed and know the truth. Sooner or later their lies and deception will not be able to continue and it will collapse under its own weight. The privileged government cronies and the ruling class will be left with trying to contain and control a world out of control. God help us and our children!

  • Wake_Up_America May 13, 2016, 10:47 am

FaceBook is an awful company! And all of the ultra, queer libtards in that damn place…I refuse to have anything to do with that FB trash. I deleted my account years ago and do not miss it one damn bit my friends!!!

    • L.WILSON May 13, 2016, 7:16 pm

Im sure its still in their database you might think it was deleted . From how i take it if you delete they still can keep the information.

  • Phillip Curlin May 13, 2016, 8:39 am

When you look at Facebook and some or most of the people on it, one really has to think, what are these people thinking? Social media has been the communication downfall of true social interaction and actually a anti-social network. People can be anything they want to be and you will never meet them face to face! It’s a make believe world of losers and wanna be’s for the most part, who have no idea of how to actually have real social interactions among real humans, all brought to you by those who want to control every aspect of you life, the liberals, and they make money for every wanna be that signs up on their fake life site! I never did Facebook, never will but have some pretty needy family members who do and I think it’s a hilarious bunch of pure bull excrement! Get a real life already people!

    • Caleb May 13, 2016, 8:28 am

You’re making some pretty broad (and negative) statements for having never used the site. Such a fact usually discredits the one making the statement.

      • Abby Normal May 13, 2016, 9:59 am

I’ve used it anonymously and have had training on it from a job I had once at an Internet security company. Facecrap is the single largest identity theft have in the world. It is exactly what Jay said it is and much more. People post all sorts of things about themselves to make them feel better about themselves. They brag with zero backup, tell the world where they live, party, work, etc. I’ve found people and identities from lots of people I knew 30-40 years ago they posted and just shake my head and laugh. Suckabag is such a left leaning liberal that I’m surprised he can stand erect.

      • razorblade May 13, 2016, 11:22 am

Caleb I did have a facebook account for a while and it was the most one sided liberal pile of BS that one can imagine. Anyone of any ethnic group or religion or minority could say any disgusting filthy thing they wanted to say about a White American Christian and it was allowed. But let a White American Christian say anything that was the least bit off the wall about any of those groups and they were IMMEDIATELY banned. So what Jay said about facebook is very true.

  • DRAINO May 11, 2016, 9:36 pm

HOORAY for Chuck Rossi!!! Great to hear we have people like him in the fight. I may even join facebook just to help him……naaaah! Sorry, not living my life on the internet. I only do it while the government pays me to do it…LOL!!!

  • SuperG May 11, 2016, 11:07 am

This is typical result of when a liberal gets power over people…he abuses it. I’ll bet there are armed guards around him and his family though. When you look hard, you’ll see them for the hypocrites that they are.

    • Altoidfishfins May 13, 2016, 6:59 am

You don’t have to look very hard to see their hypocrisy.
