It’s no secret that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris want to disarm America.
With Democrats controlling both chambers, it’s not a matter of if Congress enacts new gun control, it’s really a matter of when.
Sure, sure, pro-gun Republicans can filibuster in the Senate and probably stave off the more radical pieces of legislation the Dems put forth, for example that mandatory licensing and registration bill (H.R. 127) will probably never see the light of day.
But lower hanging fruits like criminalizing private transfers and giving the FBI 10 business days to process “delayed” NICS background checks (instead of the current three business days) stand a better than 50 percent chance of becoming law, one can argue.
In preparation for this eventuality, states and counties around the country have, over the years, declared themselves “Second Amendment Sanctuaries.” Which means, they will not recognize any federal gun laws that infringe on a citizen’s Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

Florida Rep. Jason Shoaf (HD-7) is the latest to propose such a measure, HM 1301. While several Florida counties have adopted sanctuary status, Shoaf wants to see it happen state-wide.
“The Second Amendment is a right and freedom on which our nation was founded. The President’s proposed restrictions violate our U.S. Constitution,” said Rep. Shoaf in a press released obtained by GunsAmerica. “What’s more, these actions limit our ability to keep our families safe.”
Shoaf contends that state sovereignty provided by the Tenth Amendment and affirmed by the Supreme Court prohibits the Fed from forcing Floridians to adopt any Biden-approved gun-control scheme.
“I want to be clear. Should the Federal Government establish any measure to infringe upon the right to keep and bear arms, I fully intend to do all in my power to ensure the State of Florida’s authority is hard at work to resist any unconstitutional gun measures,” said Rep. Shoaf. “That is exactly what this memorial declares.”
A companion bill (SM 1630) to HM 1301 has been introduced in the Senate by Sen. Travis Hutson. Both bills will now head to committees for review and evaluation.
If passed by the Florida Legislature, a copy of the memorial will be sent to President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and to each member of the Florida’s Congressional delegation.

Republicans propose A Gun Safety Law to standardize, and simplify National Gun Laws to include:
1. National NICS Background Check to include all questionable mental, social, and physical health care issues that could questions the public safety of others, were a person owning a firearm be a threat to the public. This be an additional check and balance to felony convictions and domestic disturbance records.
2. Mandatory 30 year sentence for firearms used in a crime.
3. Standardized gun safety classes for all 8th grade students in schools
4. Standardized gun safety classes for all citizens wishing to obtain a firearm.
5. Government reward all firearm owners for owning and being effective with a Firearm for National defense reasons. To be always able to take action on obvious criminals, and enemy invaders. $200 annual bonus for being effective using your firearm at a standard approved National Range.
6. National concealed carry license recognized universally by all states and marked on all state drivers licenses. 2nd Amendment rights respected by all States wishing to be a part of the United States of America. If you pay federal taxes, you are a part of America tied together by the Bill of Rights of the U.S. Constitution.
7. All modern day traditionally used firearms of semi-automatic, pump, lever, revolver, single shot, action type allowed
The threat to the 2nd Amendment are the politician’s who are in Washington D. C. That swore the oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic. It would likely to turn into a real disaster if the domestic side, so called leaders decide to become the enemies of the United States from within its own false unconstitutional execution actions and unconstitutional legislation.
What does this law specifically say?
All states should be submitting something similar on behalf of the people; why isn’t Texas doing this??
