If there was ever a problem with Franklin Armory’s BFSIII Binary Trigger, it was the expense it incurred on range day. Cranking through so much ammunition so quickly is fun, but it’s also expensive, even if you’re running .223/5.56.

Enter the BFSIII 22-C1. The 22-C1 is designed for Ruger’s 10/22 and compatible firearms chambered in .22LR, and it could be even more fun than its predecessors. We went to Franklin Armory’s booth at SHOT Show 2020 to check it out.

Like all of Franklin Armory’s Binary Triggers, the 22-C1 fires one round on the trigger pull and one on the release in “binary” mode. The 22-C1’s selector can also be placed on “semi-auto” and “safe,” and if users want to cancel the release shot, they can switch the selector to “safe” without having to release the trigger.

“Last year, our sales and marketing team tasked our engineers to apply our patented Binary Firing System III technology to the Ruger 10/22 platform because the rifles are relatively inexpensive, the ammunition is cheap, and just about every gun owner in the US already has one!” said Franklin Armory President Jay Jacobson. “I’m pleased with the final result and think our engineers did a great job!”

The selector is ambidextrous.

Franklin Armory’s Brandon Dunham told us that units will start shipping in the first half of this year, and some assembly will be required to install the first iteration of the trigger. But Franklin’s engineers are also working on a drop-in trigger that will simplify that installation process.

We found the 22-C1 to be even easier to shoot than the Binary Triggers we’ve tested on AR-platform rifles. On rifles chambered in larger calibers, controlling muzzle rise is a real concern. Not on a Ruger 10/22. It’s easy to keep all shots on target with the 22-C1, even when running through an entire 30-round mag.

The selector isn’t very positive, and the trigger guard on the model we shot didn’t include markings to indicate “safe,” “semi-auto,” and “binary.” But Dunham told us that customers can expect these markings to appear on the triggers they’ll start shipping later this year.

Franklin will be offering the 22-C1 trigger for $299.99 MSRP.

These are unsafe. Period. Undoubtedly more than a few folks are going to be unintentionally sending rounds downrange.

  • Ej harbet January 25, 2020, 2:23 pm

Franklin needs to get the prices down and sell as many as possible asap.
The more who have them the harder to take them! And if enough of them are busily consuming tons of 22lr then the ammo companys will make more! Only gungrabbing unamerican slime sees a downside to this! Stand up for the constitution or be crushed by the ruthless evil that stands against it! Some of this evil posts in these comments! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

  • Steve, Wasilla Alaska January 23, 2020, 10:12 pm

Assume product, can’t wait to get one. Keep up the inovative thinking Franklin Armory, you rock! Any outlet sources where I can find and order one of these?

  • Patrick McWilliams January 23, 2020, 3:23 pm

All the basic firearms were perfected before 1917. Manufacturers have to struggle to find anything both innovative and practical. We’re seeing, at least on the internet such gems as two shot .22 Magnum revolvers, pocket pistols in 7.62x39mm and black powder 12 gauge derringers. Now we get a trigger that fires when you release it. A real full auto or a bump stock would be safer and more controllable. From my experience with the 10/22, there is a “bounce” in the bolt to slow down the rate of fire. Try to shoot it too quickly and the hammer will follow the bolt forward before the bolt is effectively “sealed” against the breech and the rifle will stop. Does the Franklin trigger take this into account? The communists want all our guns and accessories, surrendering one item or another will not save the rest. As for the distinction between semi- and full-auto, the Constitution makes no such distinction. The most you could come up with is the distinction between “arms” and “field pieces” in the Articles of Confederation. Even then, the latter were a State responsibility since they were priced beyond the range of the average militiaman. That did not prevent wealthy individuals from supplying them to their neighbors or arming their ships with them. This was affirmed as late as WWI when Congress suggested that private ship owners purchase cannon to protect against the German submarine menace.

  • frank January 23, 2020, 9:54 am

Why play games, just go full auto but don’t get caught.

  • JCitizen January 22, 2020, 10:34 pm

There are legal trigger kits like this for AR also. Before people start claiming the this trigger shoots twice for one pull of the trigger – that is not accurate from a firearms engineering stance. Remember “release triggers” for shotgun competitors? That is enough to show that historically a release of the trigger is the same as pulling it to the rear. You are just allowing the finger to control pressure from two directions, that’s all!

Even if the BATF got finicky about it, all you would have to do is make the trigger a ring instead of a hook. That way you can easily claim the finger is pulling the trigger from both directions. The Feds would lose the argument in court every time. So they just don’t bother to go there.

Nice Guess! Their HERO& R,Hitler, China,Rushia, Iran,& All the OTHER TOTAL GOV. / POWER Countries & States!

  • Jim smith January 22, 2020, 4:29 pm

Man, if they already have us lecturing each other about how we should or should not exercise our 2nd ammendment rights they have us beat already. If you dont like it dont buy it, save the “why” questions for my wife to ask cause I dont need to hear it from her and read it here. We need people and companies that are willing to push the boundaries otherwise we will just keep loosing ground…its easy for my wife to ask why after I have it, the hard part is her trying to convince me to get rid of it. Besides if we just say it is a bi trigger and it shoots both ways the libs might just make it mandatory that all triggers have the option shoot that way. Whatever floats your boat…

    • JCitizen January 22, 2020, 10:45 pm

Exactly! You have to use your rights if you want to keep them! I remember when my state became slack about allowing firecrackers on the 4rth of July despite the command to use them to celebrate our freedom as written in the Declaration of Independence. Cities had slacked off from celebrating with Class B fireworks, and I was not going to let that happen, so I got a Class B license and started putting up my own demonstrations on every 4rth of July. We had traffic backed up on the highway for miles so folks could see the display. After that is seemed like an explosion of cities bringing back the old days and having great fireworks displays again. They even started selling fireworks within the city limits again, as they found out it stopped accidental field fires that way. Your rights – USE ‘EM OR LOSE ‘EM!!

  • Roger January 22, 2020, 3:42 pm

Personal Opinion: I may be wrong however I believe there was a “trigger set up” a few years ago that did the same thing. It died a slow death because of lack of sales. If you want you can purchase (with proper License) a fully automatic weapon today and there are some shooting ranges that offer a person the experience to shoot them. I would not buy a product that fired fully automatic. I see no reason to have one. That being said I will not raise my voice to prevent a person from purchasing something that is legal. Let the idiots we elect do that.

    • Greg January 23, 2020, 12:42 pm

Just FYI, from a cost and availability standpoint, a full auto 22 is NOT available to most civilians. If you can find one for sale somewhere, please prove me wrong, but I doubt there are more than 10 of them available in the country at any given time (and that’s being generous) In addition, you pay the $200 tax stamp, then the THOUSANDS of dollars and months of waiting AFTER you find one, and you get a transferable full auto at least 34 years old, and it’s easy to see why $299 is a bargain for 90% of the performance.

      • Ej harbet January 25, 2020, 2:16 pm

John norell designed a select fire trigger pack for 10/22 guns.there are more than 10 on the nfa record but im not sure how many. Iirc he registered a number of trigger modules before the 86 deadline and those if they exist are fully transferable. I think on the low end you are looking at 10 grand to get one not including tax stamp and dealer fees.

  • Big John January 22, 2020, 1:54 pm

I’m sure most of you Pajama Boys talking about peoples “back bones” are the same type of Mall Ninja’s I saw down in Richmond earlier this week dressed in your camo costumes, assault vests and CAG helmets.

That non-sense just like this Franklin Armory non-sense just makes the entire 2A movement look like a bunch of childish assholes. The MORON in full costume with the Gomer Pyle grin who brought the .50 BMG really took the cake!!! He singlehandedly set the 2A movement back 10 years. Is it his right to be an asshole? Absolutely. But those were the guys that ended up in the media photos. Then they beat their chests about Rights??? Hey fellas me and a whole bunch of my buddies have actually fought and bled for the rights you always tout. Tell me, why is it we can identify each other at these events without costumes???

This stupid trigger is another example of making us all look foolish and drawing negative attention. We don’t need anymore friggin range toys to give Nanny Bloomberg and his ilk more ammunition (no pun intended). The reality is kids we are loosing ground and the NRA is out clothes shopping while Rome burns. I’m sure in your simplistic entitled minds you think you’re correct. My advise to you is- grow up, put the rattle and binky back in the attic where it belongs and join the rest of us in reality land.

That said I saw quite a few serious individuals who carried themselves well, dressed normal and had their MSR’s in Richmond simply to prove a point. In the past they actually put their asses on the line, sweated, fought and bled when America made the call. It was worth the 1000+ mile drive to stand with them shoulder to shoulder in Richmond…with my MSR. No I’m not a FUDD, just an adult in the room, This is what we sound like.

    • Big Jim January 22, 2020, 8:49 pm

I didn’t know there was a ‘movement’ to protect the Bill of Rights. Perhaps your the one who needs a bowel movement and go spew it on a liberal site.

    • kane January 23, 2020, 12:40 am

Since you seem to care about perceptions, what’s your best guess on how the opponents of the 2A would view your comments?

    • Rattlerjake January 23, 2020, 1:41 am

No, you sound like a leftist trying to convince us you’re a conservative! All of these products are nothing more than more than new products, some designed as improvements and some for just fun shooting, not unlike all of the new wizbang products that come out for tweeking your truck/car, ATVs, bassboats and fishing equipment, computers, tvs, cellphones, etc. Your rant does nothing but show that you think your opinion has importance when it is nothing but complaining. Innovation is what has made this country great, whether it is something you like or not, someone else may enjoy using it. No matter what opinion you hold, there is no justification for preventing someone from using new innovative products, other than if it’s use infringes on the rights of others. Go back under your rock TROLL!

  • pMikulin January 22, 2020, 12:54 pm

This is not only an ammo waster, but gives true sportsmen and legitimate gun owners a bad name. Leave the 10/22 as is and it is a lot of fun.

    • Rattlerjake January 23, 2020, 1:49 am

Who the hell are you to decide what is an important improvement or not? If you don’t like it then DON’T BUY ONE! Just like with bump stocks, there are those who have fun at the range with one. Many of those people have never had an opportunity to fire a fully automatic weapon and it gives them a chance to kind of see what it is like. Who cares if it is a waste of ammo, it’s their money. Do you also complain about someone who drives an F450 Powerstroke 4X4 dually diesel past your Prius? Obviously they are wasting fuel by driving that fuel guzzler when they could be getting 50 MPG instead of 10 MPG.

      • Ej harbet January 25, 2020, 2:34 pm

Good counter argument to pms mulkins anti freedom drivel.
Wouldn’t this be a better nation or world if folks minded their own business and left people alone to excersize their freedom as long as they wernt harming anyone? That was rhetorical question to cause thought of course

  • GrampyTom January 22, 2020, 12:29 pm

Hey tough guy. Email warrior….bet you scare ’em to death at the gun store. With you or against you? If we are against you, and all the other make believe tough guys, what are you going to do about it. I bet you are a millenial living in mommy’s basement. Only stupid people give their enemy ammunition. There are millions of people outbthere who don’t shoot but are not against the second ammendment. These are the people who are swayed by the headlines that say there is an easily replaceable trigger group that makes a common .22 rifle into a machine gun…..we know the press lies but do the unthinking masses? If you want a machine gun, get a type 3 license. Or be a man and join up, volunteer for infantry….like Bill and me. You are talking out your rectal oriface…a better question is are you with reality or against it. You are operating in a system not the other way around and you better get your stuff together before the system eats your lunch, tough guy.

    • kane January 23, 2020, 12:42 am

Good thing you are out there spreading ill will around the 2A community. Why don’t you just join up with the other side?

      • Rattlerjake January 23, 2020, 1:57 am

He IS on the other side. True constitutionalists believe in the rights of others, whereas he believes that if the other side can misinterpret or misunderstand something then we shouldn’t do it, even though we have a right to. There’s a lot of things that the left does that I don’t agree with, but It’s not my right to prevent them from enjoying doing i, as long as it doesn’t infringe on the rights of others.

It’s time you replaced the blue tarp on your Shasta.

  • Daryl Deuel January 22, 2020, 12:28 pm

    1- Great way to turn a $350 gun into a $650 gun.
2- See a lot of comments from whiners about comments from whiners.
3- While this might be a fun way to waste a lot of ammo and make yourself look foolish, it WILL BE the next gun control action when it’s noticed by the anti’s.
    4- Why?

  • Smiley January 22, 2020, 11:38 am

This is the dumbest ammo wasting POS I’ve ever seen. Real smart: take your finger OFF the trigger and you fire a round. F*cking dumb.

    • LJ January 22, 2020, 12:29 pm

Agreed. How stupid is that. AND it didn’t work all that great anyway. Just something else to give the anti-gun crowd fuel for their fire.

      • Walleye January 22, 2020, 4:26 pm

One man’s gun is another man’s trash.
Don’t like it… Don’t buy it, and take a tall drink of shut the hell up.
The gun grabbers and libtards have so effectively poisoned us gun owners to start picking on each other, that people like Michael Doomberg have to be laughing their A$$es off!
It makes no difference if what type of gun, ammo, or related accoutrements any of us own, use, or shoot, the 2nd Amendment is very clear and the Supremes have ruled accordingly.
Let’s stand together or suffer being pulled apart.
        Cheers & Happy Shooting!

        • Rattlerjake January 23, 2020, 2:03 am

Well said. I’m guessing that all of these fools drive VW beetles or Priuses, because everything else wastes gas. Whether this trigger is a good idea or not, it is this type of innovation that leads to other innovation; those whiners need to go back to using muskets!

  • Dusty January 22, 2020, 10:06 am

As a 33 year FFL, I can tell you the ATF is not your friend. They insist they are here to assist the gun industry and keep everyone safer. Don’t buy that bull! They constantly infringe on our rights. They set up stings on innocent customers that purchase more than the ATF considers “enough”. They confiscate property without a warrant and you have to go before a judge to prove it’s yours and you have a right to it. They are arrogant SOB’s and should be fired. In all these years, I’ve met one that might fill the bill of being helpful, but he may also be like your pet rattlesnake. Other law enforcement agencies have little respect for them. I’ve heard it said that ATF should be forced to go back to Alcohol and Tobacco and leave our 2A Rights as the Founders intended. This is a bunch of unelected bureaucrats sucking of the public teat and we should demand they be removed from the purview of firearms altogether. There’s no dang reason why it took 12 months and 1 day to get a tax stamp for my 22 LR suppressor. I’ve been through 12 background checks by the BATF for my FFL and almost that many by the State for my CHL. Who in Hell gave them this much power to make honest people miserable? I hope Franklin Armory continues to push the envelope with new products. It is none of the governments business how many firearms anyone buys legally or even how those arms operate! If we don’t grow a pair soon, this Right will be GONE!

    • Rattlerjake January 23, 2020, 2:09 am

Bingo! It also goes for “law enforcement”. Used to be that they were called “Peace officers” because they were simply there to keep the peace, but they evolved through a tyrannical government into thugs who enforce a plethora of illegal/unconstitutional “infractions” that they call laws. We’ve seen the corruption that the “top” law enforcement agency is capable of, and continually hear and see it from ALL of the sate and local cops. None of them are your friend, their allegiance is to the bureaucraps that hand them a paycheck!

  • GrampyTom January 22, 2020, 9:37 am

James…….. try this exercise……close your mouth…….take a breath through your nose ……for a change. Now, while breathing through your nose, for the first time in your life, try to think…… Didyou do it? Wasn’t that refreshing?

  • Rex Dickerson January 22, 2020, 9:30 am

Man. What a bunch of whiners. Development is LIBERTY. We need to stand tall and together against the anti gun contingent, Acquiescing to potential criticism or censure is weak. Colt, Garand and Stoner wouldn’t be able to develop their ideas in today’s environment.

  • James January 22, 2020, 9:01 am

I love how many ATF boot lickers comment on here. Whining about how we, as a “community”, should basically cower in a corner and embrace the suck of the ATF with no complaints.

I never thought I’d EVER give the Left credit for anything…..but at least they are motivated enough to push against things they disagree with together. They have been pushing hard against ICE. I disagree with that push…..but see how they are being effective. They are certainly more effective than we are at pushing back against the ATF. The ATF are scum. I don’t CARE if there are “regular” people with families. The ATF should be defunded and dismantled…..let those people find new jobs that don’t involve crapping on our gun rights.

We shouldn’t have to beg (apply) the Government for a suppressor or to shoulder a pistol brace or own an SBR after paying our “fee” to the crown. That BS. I’m an American, I’ll do what I want so long as I’m not harming anyone else or trampling anyone’s freedoms.

You guys need to grow a backbone. Next time you see the ATF agent at your LGS…..tell him to pound salt and “get a real job”.

    • Rex Dickerson January 22, 2020, 9:40 am

Couldn’t agree more with you James! The ATF is tyrannical and should be dismantled.

    • Ricky Price January 22, 2020, 9:54 am

      Agree with you 100% percent.

  • Ed C January 22, 2020, 8:58 am

Not sure this is such a great idea…all it does, pardon the pun, is give the left more ammo for gun control. Also…the trigger costs more than my entire 10/22!

    • Rattlerjake January 23, 2020, 2:16 am

So what! You sight probably cost more than you 10/22 also! Fools like you are the reason that the left, the states, and the ATF continue to infringe more and more on our 2d amendment rights. It’s called INTIMIDATION, and you’re a chickenshiit!

  • Bill Rich January 22, 2020, 8:53 am

Binary triggers are part of the arsenal Bloomberg will use to propose more anti-gun laws, as well as furnish his useful idiots with ‘rant and rave’ material. I’m an Army retiree, NRA Life member, life-long hunter & shooter. Yes, these would be fun to shoot. Bloomie’s billions will tie this up in courts until we run out of money. All in the name of a bit of FUN at the range. Is it worth it? Could it wait till after elections? In my 75 plus years, I’ve already seen enough infringement. Don’t hand out ammo to your enemy!

    • ThankGodIdon'tthinklikeBill January 22, 2020, 11:58 am

Lighten up Bill. You sound like too many other gun owners who are perfectly happy with the way things are… As long as they don’t come after your guns (ammo or accessories).

Whether you are into only black powder, Colt SAA, or Class III full auto, everyone in the gun community should be unified against gun-grabbers. Let’s be aggressive, in their face, and fight back for all the liberties we have lost or given up. I deeply admire Franklin Armory’s smart and snarky way of creating innovative, fun-to-shoot, and legal products, just inside the lines of the law. IMHO, you’re either with them (Franklin) and the rest of us serious 2A gun owners, or you’re against us.

      • GrampyTom January 22, 2020, 1:04 pm

PS – Nice “cut-& paste” job on all of your posts.

  • Robert L January 22, 2020, 8:44 am

I wanted a bump stock and bought one. One time out and the fun was over. Sold it before they were banned and don’t miss it. Saw the binary sport trigger and have wanted one for the fun of it. Turns out my range does not allow binary triggers. Seems if shooters are not careful to aim carefully and place their shots on target at my range and most ranges, the gun can rise on fast repeat shots and possibly take rounds outside the range. Fastest way to have your range closed down.

I fear we will get so carried away making fun shooting toys that we bring unnecessary attention to this small segment of shooting. At some point the “take their guns away” crowd could be successful in convincing the masses to support the passage of extremely restrictive gun laws that not only ban toys but take away freedoms we are already fighting to keep.

I decided there was a less expensive way to have that full auto fun and that is CO2 BB guns. There are plenty of excellent full-auto capable CO2 BB guns that are a ton of fun to shoot and without having to go to a shooting range or trying to find a place to safely shoot.

  • Jeff Thomas January 22, 2020, 8:38 am

You have to be kidding me! This isn’t a “machine gun”. The same rifle with a competition style trigger and practice will have you shooting at close to the same speeds. What are you all sc..sc…scared of? The government is coming for your firearms. The willingly and openly plan to violate the second amendment. A democratic presidential candidate (Swalwell) insinuated he would use nuclear weapons on the American people to disarm them. Let that sink in…Nukes, people. They want ALL the guns. Your “First Rifle” and your last rifle. Black, wood, whatever. Single shot, semi auto, full semi automatic, ALL OF THEM. When not handled properly any firearm is dangerous and WILL cause serious injury or death. Just like cars and every single prescription medication they shove down your throats. The Ruger 10/22 has been on Diane Frankenstein’s ban list for like 5 years now, as it sits. Grow up, Feds. Shall not be infringed means just that.

  • William Kotila January 22, 2020, 8:33 am

Franklin Armory are a bunch of jackasses. Their “stick it to the man” business model produces federal regulation bending devices which have absolutely no practical value and which may well provoke a BATF response of tightening the rules Franklin Armory seeks to subvert. Secondary results of the garbage they produce are to damage the bores of firearms through excessive heat buildup and enabling lunatics who want to shoot up crowds of innocents.

    • Jeff Thomas January 22, 2020, 8:39 am

Name one time a Franklin product has been used in a shooting…..Ill wait.

    • Jeff Thomas January 22, 2020, 8:51 am

Hell yeah. Stick it to the man. Taxation is theft. Skirting around laws is about as American as you can get. Don’t like it, don’t buy one. Its kind of a free country for now.

    • Big Jim January 22, 2020, 9:13 am

These are not new Mr. Panic Attack. Just new on the Ruger 10/.22 You have drank the kool aid. It’s just the buzz effecting you.

    • Big Al 45 January 22, 2020, 9:13 am

You’re right! We should just take WHATEVER rules and regs they lay down!!!
      Because THAT’S the American way!
      Oh wait, no it isn’t!
Your failure to comprehend just how Governments work through the ages is absolutely mind boggling.
And your final statement also indicates you have no idea what life is really all about, you act as though it’s your business if someone trashes their own property, and that lunatics can be stopped.
Grow up, and get a clue.

    • dave January 22, 2020, 9:16 am

Nope. Just innovative thinking. Thinking outside the box. Good old American ingenuity. Keep up the great work Franklin Armory

  • Badlands native January 22, 2020, 8:31 am

Just what is needed more ammo for the ATF, I don’t understand why the gun industry wants to keep trying to piss off the public and ATF.. The NRA should be against this from the start and the public themselves should raise up and say this crap is not needed and not safe for anyone.

Keep shooting yourselves in the foot.

    • dave January 22, 2020, 9:18 am

We need more products like this. No matter what is intended, the gun grabbers going to manipulate the laws to take more and more. This is so clear. We need companies like Franklin Armory to think outside the box. Keep up the great work

  • Jeff Thomas January 22, 2020, 8:19 am

You have got to be kidding me. The binary trigger system has been on the market for years. It isn’t a “machine gun”. The same gun with a competition trigger installed and practice will have you running a firearm at the same speed. What are you all sc.. sc… scared of? They are coming for your firearms regardless of what they look like and what they do. The 10/22 has already been on Diane Frankenstein’s ban/confiscation lists for 5 years or so. This isn’t/wasn’t/never was designed or marketed as a “my first rifle” or a youth anything. Go get a Savage Rascal or any of the single shot rifles that already exist. Improper handling of any type of firearm will cause serious injury or death. Stripping them down and wrapping them in bubble wrap isn’t going to get the government to leave you alone. They want them ALL. No questions, no bargaining. Grow up, Fuds. Once the semi autos are gone they are coming for your walnut single shots.

Amen! Took the words out of my mouth. Franklin Armory as an innovative company and we need more red blooded American companies like this

  • John January 22, 2020, 8:17 am

To all the people saying that this is bad and helpful to the ban on guns why does it matter how fast they shoot its unconstitutional that the Atf banned new machine guns they were used by criminals not law abiding citizens so they made them illegal but guess what the criminals still had them and everyone else were out gunned just stop giving up your rights !

    • GrampyTom January 22, 2020, 9:28 am

It is amazing….the narrow and simplistic vision you have. Every time some marketing moron names an effectively expanding bullet “The Devistating Widow Maker” or a ergonomically correct semi auto shotgun “The Streetsweeper”‘ we get a reaction from the left, that doesn’t, or doesn’t even want to, understand that these are normal technical improvements to existing technology. All the marketing morons care about is selling product. When new restrictive laws, whose passage is directly aided by the purple prose of the advertising morons, finally ban guns, these business bozos will move on to another product….TO THEM, GUN, AMMO SCOPES, ARE ALL JUST WIDGETS….SOMETHING TO SELL TO MAKE MONEY!!! When that market is eliminated, the will sell hula hoops, pet rocks or shampoo…..it doesn’t matter to them…..all stuff to sell are just widgets. Meanwhile, the collateral damage from this marketing exercise is our second ammendment rights. Try to think below the surface for a change. All your macho talk just shows how little you think…about anything.

  • Richard Goody January 22, 2020, 8:00 am

Who else can see this turning out bad? Are people thinking this through at all? Someone will install this and lend or sell the 10/22 with this trigger 🤦‍♂️ I can’t imagine this NOT causing MORE negligent Discharges. This has all the marks of the silly & dangerous (Pocket pistols) we saw in the 1980s, just a gimmick out to make a buck, mostly off the young inexperienced shooter.

    • JC January 22, 2020, 9:27 am

Cmon now!! Let’s really look at this in realistic manner. You can’t control what others do however you can be responsible for teaching your young ones how to, where to, where not and when!!! that is what is missing form this ridiculous world that us older generation did was responsibility. I don’t care if new parents teach or not teach manners or hey!!! responsibility! i have taught my kids if you make a decision and it’s a bad one then it’s your fault regardless and do not blame anyone. Good habits and teachings can be infectious as well so don’t give up and surrender your rights just because others are incapable or ignorant.

  • Bill Bronaugh January 22, 2020, 7:46 am

Yeah great job using all the words that the government wants to hear to ban these. Even describes it as giving you “more than one round for each pull of the trigger”. Well that’s illegal isnt it?
When are people going to learn?

  • Trevor Teague January 22, 2020, 7:02 am

Better get one while you can before Trump and the unconstitutional ATF ban them.

    • James January 22, 2020, 9:19 am

Yea no kidding, that damn Constitution hating Trump. Too bad we got him instead of Hillary who would have protected our rights. Oh wait…🤣

      • srsquidizen January 22, 2020, 10:09 am

Yeah “Let’s be like Australia” Hillary.

Aussies would love to have just a base-model 10/22 with 10-round magazine but semi-autos are illegal. They must jump through all sorts of government hoops to obtain one of the few types of guns that are still legally possible to own, and then it can be taken away if the government decides a perfectly law-abiding citizen no longer has a good enough reason to own it.

That’s what is coming to America if Democrats get control of both Congress and the White House.

  • Bob January 22, 2020, 6:08 am

Will it work in the 9mm carbines that use the 10-22 trigger?

    • Randy January 22, 2020, 10:24 am

The Ruger 9mm carbind does NOT have the same trigger group as the 10/22

  • Rich January 22, 2020, 5:43 am

Sadly Not for civilian sales in:
CA, CT, DC, FL, HI, IA, MD, NJ, NY, RI, and WA
    considered a machinegun

  • Mike Cornett January 22, 2020, 5:00 am

Are you guys NUTS !!! They are trying to take away our guns and you are giving then more reasons to do that.
Like the bump Stock, that are now illegal. Your new 10/22 C1 will too.
Why don’t you come out with a nice..’First Gun’…A single shot, tip open 22. Show that we care about safety.
A freaking machine is not going to help…………Christ……Are you that stupid…………..

    • Sandy Otte January 22, 2020, 7:36 am

      X 2 Mike

      • Mike Cornett January 22, 2020, 12:38 pm

Thank you Sandy. Sorry for the bad language. That’s really not me.
I remember a few months back. Someone review a ‘Flamethower’
All this stuff just antagonizes the ATF. Thanks again.

    • JOHN E SCOTT January 22, 2020, 7:54 am

      Amen

      • Mike Cornett January 22, 2020, 12:38 pm

        Thank you John

    • Gary January 22, 2020, 8:06 am

Thank you so much for your input Mike. Yeah Franklin Armory is the problem and not the constitution violating traitors. People like yourself seem “confused” to put it politely. What part of “shall not be infringed” do you have problems understanding? SMHIFA,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

      • Mike Cornett January 22, 2020, 12:47 pm

Thank for your input Gary. That’s why this country is so great.
We have the freedom of a personal opinion.
I do like my firearms….I have over 45 Vintage Military Rifles & Hand Guns.
I also have thousands of rounds of ammo.
I also have two personal protection pistols. One 9mm Canik-C Stingray
and a Seacamp Carry. I don’t want anyone to take my firearms either.
        ………..Thanks again…Mike

      • GrampyTom January 22, 2020, 12:48 pm

Gary, what freakin’ planet do you live on? What is it that YOU don’t understand about your situation…..we all allowed the country to get away from us while we were living the good life…..keep the slaves with enough comfort that they won’t fight the chains. You use the toothless constitution as a defense…..wave that paper under the nose of the corrupt courts…..you will go to jail, lose all you own and leave your family (if you have even taken on that responsibility) out in the cold. The only thing that can pull this out is one of the phony gun-rights organizations to stop being a salary opportunity for there staf, get off its ass and lead us in the streets like our black brothers did in the sixtys and seventies. Just don’t depend on them or any of the firearms companies taking the lead BECAUSE THE ONLY THING THEY CARE ABOUT IS PROFIT. When guns are banned, they will go into another business. And the NRA staff will start an organization to protect pit bulls or something. Wake up Gary.

    • Earl January 22, 2020, 8:19 am

Agree Mike. Some of these gun and accessory manufacturers appear to be trying to stay one step ahead of the government instead of just making great AND safe firearms. If you watch this guy in the video you can see that it has nothing to do with safe and accurate shooting but all about arbitrary slinging a bunch of lead hopefully somewhere downstream.

      • Jeff Thomas January 22, 2020, 8:47 am

AND? He is at a controlled range with proper PPE. Looks pretty safe to me. If you want a single shot they have made them for a while now. If you want a “my first rifle” i can point you in the right direction. The above article isnt about any of those things. “slinging a bunch of lead hopefully somewhere downstream.” The are at SHOT SHOW. The safety at that place is insane. Can you imagine the legion of liberals that would descend down upon that event if they would even smell a MINOR gun incident? I bet you are the I vote democrat but LOVE my guns type.

        • Mike Cornett January 22, 2020, 12:50 pm

Jeff. I must admit, I’m probably overly safe around guns.
I even carry a gun shot wound first aid kit in my gun bag.
I talked to a doctor about what to do

      • Mike Cornett January 22, 2020, 12:58 pm

Thanks for your input Earl. There are lots of guys who want Pitbulls and machine guns…..LOL
I was in Vietnam in 1968-1970. I’ve had my fill of ‘Rat-a-Tat-Tat’
But yes……I like my firearms too. I mostly collect.

  • Mike V January 21, 2020, 8:53 pm

Just picked up a 10/22, can’t wait for these to drop.
Used to have a slidefire conversion kit for the 10/22 and while fun…kinda frustrating, hope this runs easier.
