Gun-Control Group to Register 100,000 Young Voters Before 2020 Election

The Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund is putting up big money this year to register thousands of young voters ahead of the 2020 election.

The pro-gun control outfit, funded primarily through the pockets of failed 2020 presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg, is working in conjunction with its student-targeted grassroots arm, “Students Demand Action,” to register 100,000 young voters.

Everytown will pony up at least $1.5 million for the mission that will target the battleground states of: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Leadership for the organization said nothing will stop ‘em from achieving their goal, not even the current global pandemic.

“Our nation’s young people are fiercely committed to building a new generation of gun sense voters, and they won’t let anything — including coronavirus and social distancing — slow them down,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety.

“Students Demand Action volunteers have already proven their ability to turn online activism into Election Night wins, and we are proud to invest in their virtual push to register 100,000 voters ahead of a pivotal election for the gun safety movement,” he added.

Per a press release, the voter registration initiative will include all of the following:

  • Investing $1.5 million, including hiring at least a dozen paid organizers focused on registering voters in key battleground states;
  • Establishing virtual field offices, where students will gather to strategize how to meet voter registration goals. Virtual field offices will have access to cutting edge organizing tools and technology, including Zoom, Slack, Icebreaker, Hustle, and more, giving volunteers the tools they need to be successful in virtual voter registration efforts;
  • Extensive training in relational organizing, which involves leveraging relationships to encourage others to vote. This organizing method has been proven to be more effective than traditional canvassing, allowing volunteers to register their friends, family, classmates, and acquaintances. Students Demand Action volunteers will deploy this tactic digitally, while continuing to practice physical distancing;
  • Targeting young people with online voter registration ads online.

The 2020 choice for president is now down to Biden and Trump.  Sure, a lot of woke youngsters despise the Don and may feel compelled to get to the polls this fall simply based on spite.  Hate, after all, is a powerful motivator.

But the spite vote may not be enough to tip the scales in Biden’s favor.  It’s fair to argue that “shotgun Joe” is actually going to have to inspire open-minded young people to win the Oval Office.  When Obama ran, whether one liked him or not, it was clear that he was an inspirational figure in the eyes of many.  Folks who never voted before came out in droves to support him.

Biden doesn’t have Obama’s charisma.  Not even close.  Plus, he fails the Left’s intersectionality test.  He is an aging, rich, white male with a documented history of being creepy toward women.  Combine that with the fact that he is a career politician who can no longer put a coherent sentence together and it becomes harder and harder to envision a future in which thousands upon thousands of eager students are jumping on the #TeamBiden bandwagon come November.

Who knows, maybe Biden will pick a running mate that will move the needle and make up for this apparent enthusiasm gap.  Of course, the last politician to try this stunt, John McCain, failed to win in 2008.

    Everytown isn’t putting up anything, their sponsor good ole Bloomberg is. As well as Soros and all the other money holders. Ever figure why they want guns gone?? Once there are no more guns we have a communist state. A perfect state is always one more murder away.

    Registering is one thing. Getting them out of bed to go vote for an old white guy who never knows where he is or who his wife is, is another.

    Every time I see this nonsense, my hate for the so-called pro-2nd community grows.
    WHY, you ask?
    Because these people are violating the law, and the so-called pro-2nd community hasn’t a clue as to how “to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections …” The Constitution begins “We the People”, not we the bureaucrat, or organization that infringes or attempts to destroy the rule of law.
    Ignorance abounds on both sides of the debate. However, those who oppose the RKBA are smart enough to use any method available to achieve their goal, including lies, deceit, rhetoric, and the mounds of bad case law that the so-called pro-2nd community has created.
    The so-called pro-2nd community sticks to the one argument that will eventually see the children of this nation completely disarmed, and relegated to a peon.
    The Framers of the Constitution placed 3 provisions that not only require an armed citizenry, but also protects the RKBA. Not one of those provisions is the 2nd amendment, which was not added to protect a right, but rather to remind “public officials” that the original Constitution requires (REQUIRES) a fully organized, armed, and disciplined people.
    After years of writing on the subject, preaching it to groups, explaining the law as the Founders understood it to be, speaking till I’m dry, do you know how many people have taken the time to even investigate the history of the law as it was implemented and intended?

    The Old Saying, If u r pointing a finger at someone U have 3 fingers pointing back at U. Course the right and left don’t want USA thinking that way as they want our vote to keep em in power. Me, long time shooter, Draft # 252 in 1970 to Nam. Thus I have voted for about 50 years, and I have never voted a straight ticket in my life, and won’t start now as I vote for the person or issue and no The Party or Gang as I call em. Point is Free Ur Mind Be Party Blind. It always has been and always will be about US, All Of USA, not just one party, or a 50% vs 50% thing which is what both main parties want as it Allows Them To Control US. God Bless Us All.

    Meanwhile first time gun buyers clean out the nation’s supply of defense firearms during this outbreak. Continue to try to create a society that has never happened since caveman needing weapons for safety and food…..

    Exactly when will we pass legislation to hamper the vote to people who can NOT support themselves ? You are going to vote how my life should be run ? And you can’t even support yourself w/out the Govt. teet or mommy & daddy.

      Agree completely. We should not allow people who only “take” from society to vote how help is “given” to people. It’s guaranteed that they will vote for more free giveaways and more welfare.
      Originally, only landowners were allowed to vote. While that’s a bit extreme, you should still be a contributor to society before being allowed to vote.

        Tax payer! If you only get part of the federal income tax returned to you and the government keeps the rest. You get a vote. The other part is those you vote in take the oath and if and legislation they pass is unconstitutional they lose their seat and are barred from elected office for life and lose all benifits and pensions.and get to keep only half of bookdeals and speaking fees.too harsh? Well we let them live

    None of those kids look old enough to drive, let alone vote. It’s a shame they’ve been brainwashed already.

    Mr. Bloomberg is putting up $1.5 million to finance the registration of 100,000 young voters. That’s $15 per head.
    Not a very cost effective campaign but neither was his presidential bid.

    Same old worn out Marxist crap, read some of the protest sign slogans, gee where have I heard that before? Power to the people? “One child means more? I guess they haven’t heard about planned parenthood.

  • Will Drider April 8, 2020, 1:17 pm

    They plan to organize the same “mentality” group we recently saw and heard while they were on Spring Break and didn’t give a shit about WuFlu precautions. The caught and carried the virus from their parting location back to there home and neighborhoods. Spread that Virus to mom, dad, sisters, brothers grandparents, friends, business and didn’t care about the impact; just wanted to party and everything else be dammed.

    The actions of these young self centered idiots have caused injury and death by spreading the virus. My guns have never harmed anyone.

      That’s why I always say I have firearms, not weapons. Only things my firearms have assaulted are steel plates, paper targets and boxes of clays.
