Badlands Introducing Modular Pack System – SHOT Show 2019

The new Vario Modular Pack System from Badlands.

The popular clothing and gear manufacturer Badlands has announced a new line of hunting packs for 2019. Based out of West Jordan, Utah, Badlands has thrown their hat in the ring with the new Vario Modular Pack System.

Customers can purchase the base frame, made of lightweight titanium, with included meat shelf in a medium or large size, with an adjustable torso length of 17-22 inches. Also available is the Deluxe Batwing accessory that offers the user a larger set of pockets.

Badlands then offers four different options of bags to add onto the frame, an 1800 cubic-inch day pack, a 3300-, 5000-, or 6500-cubic inch bag. The 5000 and 6500 are designed with side pocket access into the main compartment and are made from a lighter weight nylon ripstop-material for weight saving which keeps all frame and pack combos around six pounds. The Vario Modular Pack System will be offered in Approach Camo and an Earth Tone Solid this summer.  Keep an eye out!

Vario Modular Pack System Prices:

  • Frame with Meat Shelf:  $349.00
  • Deluxe Batwing: $69.99
  • 1800 cubic-inch Day Pack: $159.99
  • 3300 cubic-inch Bag $169.99
  • 5000 cubic-inch Bag: $179.99
  • 6500 cubic-inch Bag: $189.99

Badlands also made several improvements to their bestselling 2200 and Super Day packs, including a hybrid bow/rifle bucket, bino connect system (so users can hook a bino harness system directly to the pack), and a redesigned pistol holster for easier access. All the updated designs are included on the Vario System as well. Badlands should be adding specs and details to their website in the near future. For more information, visit

The frame can function as a day pack with serious meat-hauling capabilities.
