2020 presidential hopeful Kamala Harris is doubling down on her campaign promise to deliver gun control via executive action.
Just weeks after the California Democrat said she would go around Congress to implement universal background checks, revoke the licenses of firearms dealers who break the law, close the so-called “boyfriend loophole” and prohibit people with arrest warrants from buying guns, Harris pledged to ban the importation of “assault weapons.”
“If by my 100th day in office when elected president of the United States, the United States Congress fails to put a bill on my desk to sign with all of the good ideas or any of the good ideas that I’m prepared to take executive action because that’s what’s needed,” Harris told CNN Sunday.
To ban the importation of black rifles Harris would call on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to reassess whether those firearms are “suitable for or readily adaptable to sporting purposes,” Politico reported Wednesday.
Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich slammed Harris’ anti-gun agenda as an “attack on Second Amendment rights.”
“She’s not talking about safety measures, she’s not talking about giving law enforcement more ability to prosecute people who are using guns incorrectly, people who are already breaking the law,” said Pavlich.
“Yet we keep hearing this talking point from Democrats like Kamala Harris, that they want to ban this firearm, which is owned by millions of law-abiding Americans,” Pavlich continued. “And so it is an attack on Second Amendment rights, and it doesn’t solve the issue that she claims to be going after.”
Pavlich pointed out that more people are killed each year with fists, clubs and hammers than semi-automatic long guns.
“Of course people want gun safety, of course people want background checks,” Pavlich said. “But when it comes to actually solving problems, taking away the Second Amendment rights of Americans and claiming that you’re solving a problem … that is going to be a problem for her.”

Bump stock owners know all too well what happens when a sitting president circumvents Congress and forces the ATF to act as a legislative body instead of a regulatory agency to rewrite the law.
Seriously, if an NRA-backed president is willing to sell half a million gun owners down the river, turning them into instant felons over an inconsequential plastic accessory, one can only imagine what Harris, or any Democratic candidate for that matter, would do if given the chance.

WTF is this article even about? Evil rifles have been banned from importation for years. Why do you think the 922r US parts count stuff is all about? Bush Sr hit them in 89, then Clinton in 94/98 and that’s why no rifles that look military get imported anymore, other than recent efforts to do them as pistols.

There is no new manafactuer of assault weapons (aka full auto) for public transfur. Foreign or domestic. There also is no longer any import allowed of rifles with miltary style evil features. So maby this highly intelligent future president will make it double not allowed. WTF.

This won’t happen with Harris because she’ll be cut from the herd early in the race. Additionally bump stocks are pieces of crap anyway. An AR can fire much faster and accurately on semi-auto but, I know what there getting at. Once they take one item away then comes another.
