Letter to Editor: ‘Not All Actors Are Anti-Gun Parrots’

Authors Rapid Fire S.H. Blannelberry This Week

Last week, I wrote an article about Jenna Fischer, an actress who has decided to act as a mouthpiece for the Brady Campaign.

In slamming Ms. Fischer for her thoughtlessness, lack of research on gun-related violence and willingness to swallow the Brady anti-gun script hook, line, and sinker, I wrote this:

All things considered, acting is a great way to make a living. It’s a rather easy job. People hand you scripts, you memorize the pages, parrot the lines in front of a camera, and then collect a paycheck. Easy peasy. As an actor, you don’t have to think much. Just memorize and recite. Memorize and recite.

I think that’s why actors make such great gun-control activists. They can regurgitate anti-gun platitudes without ever questioning their veracity. They can spout half-truths with a straight face because they aren’t compelled to think critically about what it is they are actually saying.

Well, that overly-broad indictment of Hollywood professionals didn’t sit too well with one of our readers.  Nope.  SAMMY! (that’s how he signed his name), the actor from Los Angeles, reached out to take me to task on my sweeping generalization of thespians.  After explaining to him my brushes with Hollywood, I lived there for almost a decade, and my whole immediate family still lives there, including my sister, an aspiring actress, SAMMY! responded thusly:

Thank you for writing back about your article. While I understand your perspective about the antigun stigma of Hollywood, I need you to understand this stigma is particular to California politics and not to people. There are over 100 FFL’s in the Los Angeles area and people who live in California are not antigun. We have commonly known firearm restrictions including a separate government under the 10th Amendment which include a ban on assault-weapons by name and features which in turn pioneered the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban. However, consider 10% of the United States lives in California and many high profile shootings including the 1989 Cleveland Elementary School, 1993 101 California Street, and 1997 North Hollywood occurred in California. This does not advocate any of the firearm restrictions, however, this does need to give an outsider an understanding of the society we live in.

The Hollywood perspective of “parrots” is what offended me in your article. Antigun representatives of Hollywood represent themselves and not Hollywood as a whole. For example, Rebel Wilson’s remark about the United States needing to adopt Australia’s firearm laws is complete bullshit and my response to her is “This is America, we like firearms, if you do not like our laws, go back to Australia.” There are several other actors like Bruce Willis or Samuel L Jackson who are outspoken about being progun. We have celebrity shoots where actors come out and shoot firearms with the community and we have firearm manufacturers who sponsor our work for product placement. Hollywood is the “government” that manages the Los Angeles area – just like Microsoft and Boeing are the “governments” that manage the Seattle area, Apple, HP, Facebook manage the Bay Area, USMIL manage the San Diego area, USGOV manages the DC area, and firearm manufacturers like Colt, Mossberg, or Ruger governing Connecticut. Even DC and Connecticut have restricted firearm statuses. The only difference between any of these careers is the master they serve and the entire country watching Hollywood’s work. As an individual who has worked in both the firearm industry and Hollywood for nearly two decades, I can tell you that our job is no less difficult than any other industry. I request that you please retract your statement we are “parrots.” Thank you.

Thank you,

SAMMY!

I can respect SAMMY!’s opinion, which is why I republished it as a Letter to the Editor. Moving forward, this is something I think we’ll do more of, e.g. spotlight the voices of our readers.  Yes, you can always express yourself in the comment section below, and we encourage you to do so, but sometimes it’s nice to receive a more formal missive that is structured as a Letter to the Editor, which we can then share with everyone.

So, if you ever feel compelled to write a Letter to the Editor on anything we’ve published, feel free to submit it to this address: LetterToTheEditor@gunsamerica.com

Now, there’s no guarantee that we will publish the letter, but we’ll at least take a look. Thanks in advance!

Sammy does not deserve an apology. If “parrot” does not apply to Sammy, then there is no problem. If “parrot” does apply, then to bad. Many of the anti 2Cers in Hollywood are acting like “parrots” or they lack a full understanding of what they are saying. Then again, perhaps they do understand what they are saying which explains why they say what they do.
Sammy may be an undercover “parrot”!

I’m hurt and dismayed that you pro2a folks have so much hate for our former president, Barrak Obama. He is a good and forthright man whose only fault was caring about our people. Our former president is a compassionate, caring person whose only. mtriggerotivation was to make life better for his countrymen. To foster better human relationships among the races and ensure a better life for all mankind.

In reference to the people who have negative comments about Sammy, if this is the Sammy I know, Sammy is an actor and has many credits behind his name. A few knuckleheads in the Hollywood set have said some stupid things about guns and the use of gun control and I once believed that all of Hollywood was totally anti-American, as a firearms instructor who has instructed Hollywood actors, I find this isn’t the case. I’ve now met Hollywood producers and actors/actresses who are very much Constitutionally minded, who back the Constitution as it was written. I believe Sammy is one of these people. So if you have anything negative to say about Sammy, say it to his face.

  • Lon May 21, 2016, 5:47 pm

“I can tell you that our job is no less difficult than any other industry.” With this statement “Sammy” lost all credibility with me. His work in the firearms industy was probably selling ammo at walmart. Pro 2a folks in Hollywood need to do much, much more to support our Constitution than writing rebuttals on PRO-GUN websites.

While on the subject of scripts I’d like to remind everyone that there will be a major election coming up in November and the anti gun folks will be due to stage another major public shooting that they can utilize to further their agenda prior to the election. Always when the dust is settling or when an election is approaching they do it then go on the offense with the scripted faux hysteria. It’s ironic and predictable like sweeps week. Maybe for once the main character will break from the script and admit to just be acting the role as hired for.

Getting back to actors..sure, there are a few that are pro gun and not afraid to say so because they are big enough that they will have work regardless. Ones like Tom Selleck who has always stood out front with US. Let us not forget Chuck Heston, both a great actor and a great honorable man as well. When I heard that dim wit George Clooney statement when he was told about Chucks illness, “good! He deserves it!” That was the last time I EVER watched one of his movies, and I never will again!! Sure..after saying it two more times and getting a world of flack from it, he switched it to..”I was joking!” What did Chuck say in response? “Well it just proves that class and good manners are NOT inherited.” Like I said, a truly honorable man!
They claim pressure from producers is why they parrot the anti gun propaganda. Perhaps that’s so, but that does not mean you can’t keep your mouths shut!! Like the old saying goes, if you don’t have anything good to say, dont say anything at all. No better words ever spoken!
The real problem with actors is that regular people think that actors are smart, and that what they say and believe is actually important! When I encounter people like this I ask them if they would trust the opinion of their Waiter or busboy on how to vote or what to believe in?? Not one has ever said yes to that question! That’s when I remind them that MOST actors were exactly THAT before they got “lucky” and made the big time. (We all have different ideas of what lucky means, so use your own imagination on that.) I am NOT taking away from waitresses or dish washers in any way! Only that a actors opinion is no better than theirs is!
Am I going to believe the stock advice I get from a hedge fund manager on a stock buy over a dish washers? OF COURSE I would!! On the other hand if a waitress told me that smokers tipped on average 50% more than non smokers do, would I take her word for it over the Politicians that tell me different? Damn right I would!
Bottom line is if I want to know if Joe wants to own a gun, or a hundred guns..i would ask good old Joe. If his opinion differed from mine I would simply ask him why? If what he said was intelligent and I could not change his mind, then I would go on my way. If Joe told me some crap that a actor spewed out on some left wing TV show, then I would try to change what tiny piece of mind that poor old Joe had left after watching all those morons on TV! If unable to do so, I would just tell him his vote was REALLY not important to this election anyway, and that he may as wells stay home and watch reruns of star trek!
    But that’s just MY opinion!

“How many more houses of faith?” asks Sarah Silverman in the video.

This is the same Sarah Silverman, who is often referred to as a “comedian,” that has somehow made lucrative career out of targeting peoples religious beliefs with grotesque attempts at humor. Silverman regularly makes intolerant statements on religious beliefs including how she believes religion is the cause of much death and misery and how she would like for Jesus to be killed again and yet here she is on the video with her carefully chosen blurb. Any successful plan to prevent hate and violence would have to include the exposure of the hate mills of the ‘entertainment industry’ that has conducted psychological operations on masses for generations. Not one of those people in the video would ever acknowledge the role the ‘entertainment industry’ plays in the perpetuation of a very clever form hate speech and violence..

I believe my reply to “Sammy” would have to be as follows:

While I understand that, as you are an actor, you may have taken offense to the term “parrots”, but perhaps you should go back & carefully re-read the article. Nowhere in the article did it say “SAMMY is an anti-gun parrot”, it was merely a generalization poking fun at the amazing number of popular actors who have demonstrated a willingness to say whatever the Brady Campaign, and others of like mind, pay them to say without making any effort to discover if there is any truth to what they are being told to recite in front of the camera. [OK, admittedly generalizations are normally considered a bad thing because they are . . . . well . . . generalizations and by definition do not actually apply to every single member of the group they are pointed towards. Having said that, human beings continue to utilize generalizations because they DO, statistically, apply to a mathematical majority of the group they are made about. Before the P.C. times we now live in, teachers, scientists & analysts everywhere strongly cautioned against generalizations when publishing or speaking in public because they are sloppy thinking and leave you wide open for an attack by those against what you have to say. These days politicians, much of the mass media and even some “scientists” love them & throw them around as if they are definitive fact.]

I cannot speak for the author, but I believe the point he was trying to make was how ridiculous many of these actors’ testimonials seem in light of their responses when they are later questioned regarding anything remotely related to firearms or gun control. Normally such interviews tend to go about as well as the hundreds of YouTube videos currently circulating, in which Bernie Sanders supporters publicly demonstrate their complete lack of understanding as to what Socialism actually entails along with what the outcome of such forms of government have been in every known case in man’s history, the U.S. Constitution and even the political platform being endorsed by the candidate they support. For some reason, many in our society tend to lend added value to the beliefs of the famous, regardless of what they are famous for. While I can certainly understand the reasoning behind lending added credence to the words of a Nobel Laureate physicist when he is discussing the pros and cons of a new theory on the evolution of black holes by a colleague, I certainly do not understand why anyone would tend to lend greater weight to the words of an actor when they speak on a subject they have no real knowledge of, or background in. Having said that, gone are the days when you commonly heard stories about how celebrities from one profession or another actually refused to publicly endorse a product or idea because it did not agree with their morals, or because they were not familiar with the product they had been asked to endorse. Although I strongly support each of our citizens’ right to speak out publicly for what they believe in, I must admit that I, too, am very tired of seeing ultra-wealthy Hollywood actors speaking out on the evils of the 2nd Amendment, especially when they follow up with some ignorant statement about how no one needs an AR platform rifle to hunt with. In the past, I took great offense when a celebrity with no background in the subject being discussed tried to tell me how to live my life but then I finally realized it was kind of silly for me to get so upset by seeing an actor, who has managed to stand out from the crowd in a profession where the chief required skill is being able to convincingly deliver whatever dialogue they have been given and make the viewer believe they are genuine, spouting canned opinions that match a political lobbyist group’s brochures to the letter. These days, I no longer get nearly as upset about such things; I still choose to demonstrate my dislike for the position voiced by the actors in question by refusing to spend my hard-earned money to support them by attending their performances and/or movies but this is merely a personal choice I make because I figure a) they either actually believe what they are saying in these anti-gun ads, b) they have blindly bought in to the issue because it is considered politically correct by the current liberal administration which, in either case, I disagree with them to the point I consider them a threat to the basic ideals my country was founded on, or c) They have no dog in the fight, could care less either way and are simply being an actor and are just playing a part for the money offered, in which case I find their willingness to openly prostitute their ethics and morals highly offensive and I have no interest in hearing what they have to say now, or ever again. To this end, I found the video quite educational, as there were 3 or 4 actors in it who I did not know were anti-gun that I will add to my boycott list.

As Sammy correctly pointed out, not ALL celebrities have blindly jumped on the gun control band wagon. In addition to the two he/she mentioned, there are several others who, when directly questioned about their stand on gun control, have been honest enough to say what they actually think, even though being anti-gun control is certainly NOT the politically correct thing in Hollywood these days. I believe what many of us find frustrating is the great number of popular actors who have made their fortunes starring in action-packed thrillers where they often play the role of individuals who are very patriotic and take a stand, usually against all odds, to support the rights enumerated in our constitution. Thus when these same actors publicly speak out about how strongly they support the violation of our citizen’s constitutional rights, many of us see this as hypocritical, to say the least. I, for one, am glad we can count “SAMMY” among the number of celebrities who are pro gun, but I do have to point out that only the few individuals who read this article will know where “SAMMY” stands.

I guess the point I am trying to make with this whole rambling comment is that the anti-gun politicians have declared open season on gun rights in this country. Whether they have not bothered to read the Federalist Papers & other documents authored by those who wrote our Constitution [where the founding fathers explained their purpose in including the 2nd amendment in the bill of rights was to “give teeth” to the rest of the original group of amendments to ensure the common citizens could never be held hostage by a tyrannical government, such as the one they had just finished fighting a war to break free of] or if they have done so because they are actually elitist enough to feel they know better than the original founders of our democratic republic, they have made no bones about the fact they are out to disarm the population and they feel the only people who should have access to a firearm of any sort are the law enforcement agencies and the military who are under the control of the government. I believe they are right, it is time to take a stand! Where my belief differs from that of the anti-gun political groups is that I believe it is time we explain to them that the silent majority has had enough of the nonsense. For this to happen, all of us who are pro 2nd amendment (for you liberals, yes that does mean Pro Gun) need to also begin being publicly vocal about our stand on the issue. To start having dialogs with the sheep, who are just following along with what is politically correct, to educate them on the facts. To show them the documents where our founding fathers clearly stated they believed the rights listed in the first 10 amendments were god-given, rather than granted by any government. This means that all of us, including the pro-gun actors need to start being vocal about our rights. No wonder so many buy into the hype. Ads filled with celebrities spouting the beliefs of the anti-gun interests fill the airwaves & that is what people see. When was the last time you saw an ad like the one above filled with pro-gun celebrities on a major network during prime time? Sorry to put you on the spot “SAMMY” but maybe it’s time you and the rest of pro-gun Hollywood step up and put your money where your mouth is. Be vocal & help counter the half-truths & outright falsehoods that so many politicians have been spouting. Sure, those of us in the “gun culture” think it is funny when Dianne Feinstein’s office posts a drawing of an AR-15 with an arrow pointing to the front sling mount and text identifying it as a “Grenade Launcher” on the from page of a national newspaper, but millions of fellow citizens don’t know that it is not just what she claims it to be.

    • Notso May 22, 2016, 2:03 am

Steve, first of all let me congratulate you on your eloquent post and rebuttal to “SAMMY”. You made innumerable points that I hope “SAMMY” (if he is an actual 2A supporter) will use to further our cause. That is, if he ever returns to GunsAmerica. I’ve used the word “if” several times. Maybe it is because I doubt “SAMMY’s” voracity. Anyway, if he does return, why don’t you write “SAMMY” a rebuttal “Public Service Announcement”. Maybe GunsAmerica will produce it!

  • Chris Baker May 20, 2016, 11:17 am

To Sammy, who thinks that the government of California and the people of California differ on guns. If that were true, then why haven’t the people voted the scumbags out of office? I posted a video of your dear gov brown talking to a reporter and admitting and then bragging about lying to the people to get elected then they reelected him. You can’t convince me that California voters, certainly far less than a majority of them, disapprove of what their government is doing. I know what they’re like. I was born there and lived there all my life minus the time I spent in the Air Force and the two years since I moved out. Now I live in a place where I can strap on my weapon and go walking around town and no one cares. Can you honestly say you can do that anywhere in CA and not get taken to the police station for a bit of “questioning”?

    • Lon May 21, 2016, 5:50 pm

It’s called “tribalism”. A child molester with a “D” in front of his name could get elected in CA.

    • GlocksRock May 23, 2016, 2:57 am

I’ve posted this before here, but I’ll post it again. There are a lot of pro-gun people here in California that strongly disagree with the Sacramento political machine’s decrees. The problem is, the three largest voting areas of the state- Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco, and it’s close surrounding counties- are almost solely democratic, and wield the highest number of electoral votes.
Thus, unless you live in one of those areas, your vote basically means nothing. Every time an anti-gun bill comes up, it’s author is generally from one of these areas. Our illustrious Governor, who is about 50/50 on gun rights, but wants to give this state away to all the illegals, is from the Bay area. Dianne Feinstein is from the Bay area, Barbara Boxer is a transplant from New York who moved to the Bay area, and then became the 6th district (bay area) representative, before becoming a US Senator.
I live in the third-largest county in the state behind San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties. The majority of residents here are pro-gun/pro 2A. But even if everyone in this county voted, and half the people in the just ONE of the anti-gun counties did not, we would still not have enough votes to override them electorally. And NO ONE that I know of that lives in my county or the central valley (the central portion of the state that stretches from Modesto south to the LA county line), for that matter, voted for Governor Brown. We all remember how he ran this state into the ground during his first term as governor many years ago. His father, from what I hear, was a good governor. Jr. Didn’t follow in his shoes, apparently.
By the way, what state do you now live in? I would like to move to the last bastion of “The Land of The Free”.

  • William Sherwood May 20, 2016, 11:11 am

Hippocrates, the same actors that are bad mouth guns Liam Neilson, for one is running around in front of the camera, making millions of dollars with what in his hand? A GUN, it shoots blanks, but it still represents a gun. Why people would even listen Hollywood creeps is beyond my imagination. They all play make believe and believe what they say is the truth. This is a little \cruel, but why doesn’t Neilsen want to band skis, that how his wife was killed. Democrates all. Clinton band firearms on military bases, what happened our soldiers couldn’t protect themselves when shot at by some muslim doctor. Gun free zones, what a brilliant decision that is. Bad guys take advantage of these areas, but if you read the newspapers IT’S THE GUNS FAULT. We Americans have rights, that are abused by our politicians. It’s hard to be a true American. I’m a combat veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a Frozen Chosin survivor, glad I had a RIFLE, a PISTOL, and a MACHINE GUN there. Gee I never met a Hollywood actor there, unless they were patriotic entertaining the troops. They are actors being paid large salaries, does that give them the right to say what we Americans should do and not do, not on my watch. Bill Sherwood

    • Steve C May 20, 2016, 12:06 pm

      Mr. Sherwood,
Thank you for standing in harm’s way to protect our great country! One of my favorite uncles served at the battle of the Chosin Reservoir. We live in Montana & every time we got a REALLY cold Blue Norther’ blowing down from Canada in February he would wiggle the nubs of the two fingers he had lost there to frostbite at us kids & laughingly tell us “I’m sure glad I’m not back at Chosin. That outside right now . . . . that’s a spring day compared to the Frozen Chosin”.

      Semper Fi,

The Aussies have turned back to being Brits, a pity. Live under the yoke of the Monarchy, you apparently deserve it.

    • Kane May 20, 2016, 12:17 pm

Yeah, a people governed by a figure head monarchy where the lords of finance (Rothschild family) have a more elaborate coat of arms than the Windsor family. Yet somehow the Britons feel they are owed an explanation for the 2A.

  • M D Hanson May 20, 2016, 10:52 am

Here’s a plan for you. How about we prosecute those who illegally use firearms in the commission of a crime, to the fullest extent of the law. MANDATORY 20 year sentences to be served CONSECUTIVELY to the criminal sentence. Quit coddling criminals as poor misunderstood, didn’t get enough of mama’s loving when they were babies crap. How about a plan that says parents raise their children with respect for laws and other’s property. Or teach them to stay in school, learn from the teachers instead of beating them up, and amounting to something besides a drag on society. Criminal activity is a choice, not a mandate. This is what happens when you want to Hug a Thug. Get your heads out of your collective arses and behave like thinking adults….. not unicorn believers.

    • Chris Baker May 20, 2016, 11:25 am

Any sentence that would automatically extend beyond any reasonable expectation of a person living should automatically be converted to a death sentence. Punishment is supposed to teach people right from wrong. Prison is supposed to be punishment. If a person cannot learn right from wrong and not to do wrong, then there’s no point in keeping them alive.

    • Steve C May 20, 2016, 12:16 pm

      Hmmm,
Novel approach. . . . . Quit spending hundreds of millions on anti-gun ad campaigns & instead put that money into law enforcement so they can effectively enforce the hundreds of gun laws already on the books. I bet you want to also reenact all the laws that allow judges to have certified mental health professionals commit people with severe mental issues to secure facilities BEFORE they maim of kill a bunch of innocent people. Gotta tell you, I don’t think it will work – – – I doubt you could ever get all those politicians to agree to it, after all it would save money, decrease crime, and help many of the mentally deranged homeless in the country. . . . WAY too much common sense in this idea of personal responsibility, but I like it : – D

    • JS May 20, 2016, 2:37 pm

Dear Leader is releasing those very criminals you describe: committing felony drug sales in possession of a firearm. How do you propose to counteract that?? Perhaps next election we can turn this thing around.

  • George Bill May 20, 2016, 10:20 am

Rebel Wilson should go back with Hugh Jack man and any other person who came from another Country and because of the Liberty’s extended to them because we “fought for them with Guns”, feel that they because of their socioeconomic position, that they actually have something to say about our Country.
They have no clue what it is to live out of the bubble that surrounds them, “A very large Bubble for that fat ass broad”, and for a guy who made his career, Killing hundreds of people in his movies, he has some set of balls telling us that guns are bad.
Do us all a big favor and go back to your shitty undefended country where anyone can break into your home, and you will have to stand there with your thumb up your ass.
Same goes for Arnold, Stallone, and all the other Killers of thousands in their movie carriers built on guns. Rambo, doesn’t like Guns, Really. Sylvester, did you forget where you grew up, try walking down there without a couple body gaurds with guns.

  • Tom Horn May 20, 2016, 9:23 am

I think the broad paint brush of your original article was appropriate. Sammy can name 2 actors who are pro 2A (3, if you include, Sammy). We need more actors, with intelligence, to tell these brainless, Hollywood bimbos to STFU, already. Where are they?

  • Infidel7.62 May 20, 2016, 8:04 am

The only problem SAMMY is you are outnumbered bay about 100 to 1.

  • SJ May 20, 2016, 5:06 am

The problem here is visibility. While a giant corporate entity in a city/county/state may influence some governmental decisions in the area, hollywood spreads it’s influence across the globe. The anti-gun bs and all the mistakes and errors (safety and otherwise) they make are spread far and wide and are blindly accepted by those who just don’t know any better. Yes, hollywood is filled with ‘parrots’. Since the Nation and the World hear nothing but this crap from hollywood, that’s the general perception of them and, by contrast, the entire PDRC. If pro-gun california would step up to the plate and make more noise, maybe things would stand a chance of changing. However, the same personalities in local government, keep getting elected over and over and things only get worse. I know there are good people and groups doing great work over there, but the state has been known as The Land of Fruits and Nuts since I was little and nothing has gotten better since. Just saying….

  • LARRY TOOMEY May 20, 2016, 5:00 am

as a VIETNAM vet I can only hope war will end someday but till that day only bad people use guns BADLY I still love my BLACK POWDER guns and have since I was 11 years old after seeing FESS PARER as DAVEY CROCKET I got a long rifle that year for my birth day the next gun I was given was a M-16. and I haven’t killed anything but time

    • David Christensen May 20, 2016, 12:44 pm

You were given an M-16???? Are you pulling my leg?

  • SuperG May 19, 2016, 12:02 pm

All I know that I was born and raised in the PDRC, but couldn’t get a concealed carry permit to protect myself in public. But I noticed that the criminals were not thus impeded. The writing on the wall was that I would be a victim if I stayed, so I left. Now I carry wherever I go, as my state and county allow me to. I understand that I may not survive a gunfight with a seasoned criminal, but at least I will have had the right to defend myself.
As for acting being easy, I can’t believe that it is, else we wouldn’t have so many bad actors. The last two generations of Californians have been fed a steady diet of liberal kool-aid, and they’ve been inculcated to think that guns are bad…until they become victims. Even then, some will blame the gun and not the person abusing it (Hi Gabby!). But wise people know that the criminals and crazies are to blame, and we see nothing being done about it, especially in the PDRC.

  • DRAINO May 19, 2016, 10:02 am

“…….like Colt, Mossberg, or Ruger governing Connecticut.” WHAT???!!!! Wow! Talk about mis-informed.
No, Not everyone in Hollywood is a “parrot”…….But Hollywood is FULL of “parrots”!!
And besides, infringement is still infringement. Banning certain weapons or even magazines is still infringement…..whether by fed or state govt. And not one of the firearms in the atrocities mentioned in little sammys letter did anything without some law breaking psychopath acting as the actuator. Come on….think for yourself. Think outside your buns.

  • Sammy G May 19, 2016, 12:48 am

yup just what we all need is someone to tell us how to live our lives.not. first they spy on us like we did 9/11 and now we can’t have any right under the constitution that our country’s founder put in place to protect us from a tyrannical oppressive government.which is the next step after taking your guns is to put you in a re education camp all locked up tight with no exits sounds like just what everybody wants and needs right.

  • Jerry D Smith May 18, 2016, 7:12 pm

If I knew who over 3 or 4 of those fools were I would never pay to see anything they ever act in again. Please post these losers names.

Bingo! We say we will die for our 2A rights yet most will not even boycott a t.v. show ,movie, singer ,etc. who opposes our rights .These people have to be hit in the pocket books to stop them .If we would ever come together as a whole and stick to it we could absolutely defeat them .

I have not watched a movie in the theaters in about a decade. I respond directly to the radical, unconstitutional views of these Hollywood types through comments sections wherever they appear. I practice my craft, building AK’s from flats, and general gunsmithing loudly and proudly. I’m a registered voter who receives permanent early ballots for all elections I’m eligible for. I research the issues and take the time to say my piece about em on public forums. Yet we are still all facing a 2nd Amendment holocaust every time one of the left wings projects from a school, or a post office blows a gasket and runs amok with a firearm. I’m getting tired of dealing with all of that every time it happens. Chipping away at our rights for two hundred plus years, watering it down till there’s nothing left to defend is not acceptable to me. As I see things, our 2nd Amendment rights remain as the spirit and letter of our US Constitution and Bill Of Rights outlined them. That is what I will defend to death. The deaths of anybody attempting to abridge my rights, and to my own. Another attempt a 1994 “Crime Bill” will be met with deadly force. That simple. If they want a civil war, I’ll use every means at my disposal to defend the rights of all Americans. Instead of calling me a kook, or badmouthing me and my efforts, you people need to join me in my resolve, or were all going to pay the price. This grand experiment will come to an end with a whimper, and a flimsy wristed, wrong bathroom lurking, eating disordered, gender confused, wreck of a generation. That means your kids too. Good luck to you all if you don’t get on board. I don’t want to keep living on this planet with you. But I will not go quietly.
