Magpul Industries is now shipping their recently announced slings and suppressor covers. They’re also launching a full series of range-rated eye protection in all sizes.

While Magpul is best known for their gun components, the company has a quality accessory catalog, too. Like their firearm products their outerwear and gear are some of the best at their price points.

The new Rifleman Loop Sling, or RLS, is affordable at $19. It features 1.25-inch Nylon mesh webbing, reinforced polymer hardware and sling keepers to police loose strap ends. It’s very light at 4.4 ounces.

The RLS works with rifles with attached sling loops. Magpul offers other mounting options separately including quick-detach adapters for sling swivel setups.

The idea behind the RLS is to give shooters a single versatile sling that can be used with all their long guns. This maintains the same manual of arms across the board without spending huge amounts on expensive slings.

The Magpul Suppressor Cover – 5.5 is the first in a series. Measuring in at 5.5 inches long with a 1.5 inch inner diameter, the cover was made for the Surefire SOCOM556-RC2.

The cover can withstand extremely high temperatures and provides a differential between the outside and inside of the cover of up to 1,000 degrees. It also helps dissipate heat to cool suppressors faster.

These benefits don’t just make suppressors safer to handle. They also make them more effective. The suppressor cover reduces heat signature, mirage distortion and adds a layer of physical protection to the can.

For $99 it’s an inexpensive way to boost the performance of any compatible suppressor.

Magpul’s new glasses might be the real seller this shooting season. These range-ready glasses come in three sizes and multiple frame and lens color and material options.

The lenses and frames meet or exceed Z87+ and MIL-PRF 32432 safety specifications for true range-safe eye protection, unlike the majority of other sunglasses.

Another standout feature is overmolding. The glasses feature integral nosepieces and padded arms designed to function with helmets and ear protection. This promises improved comfort over time, especially in hot and sweaty conditions.

The glasses are glare- and chemical-resistant with special coatings on the inside and outside of the lenses. And they’re available with polarized and non-polarized lenses as well.

Magpul’s Explorer series starts at $139 while the Summit and Terrain glasses run more at $149. Still, that’s very competitive with glasses with little or no shooter-friendly features built in.

Yeah well when are they going to start shipping their bipods? I’ve ordered one from a website on June 5 and the company has yet to receive them to fulfill my order.
