Mexican Security Specialist to Joe Rogan: Eric Holder Should Be In Jail for Fast & Furious

2nd Amendment – R2KBA Authors S.H. Blannelberry This Week

Eric Holder should be in jail, says Ed Calderon, a security specialist and combatives instructor with over 10 years experience in public safety working the northern border area of Mexico.

Calderon, who appeared on the Joe Rogan podcast this week, was referencing Holder’s involvement in the ATF Operation known as Fast & Furious, a gunrunning scandal in which the U.S. government deliberately allowed firearms to fall directly into the hands of known cartel operatives under the pretext that the agency would eventually track down those weapons and bust high-level targets within the organization.

Estimates suggest that over 2,000 firearms were delivered to the Sinaloa Cartel, exclusively, considered by the U.S. Intelligence Community to be the largest drug trafficking organization in the world.

Those firearms were used by cartel members to kill at least one U.S. citizen, border patrol agent Brian Terry, and countless Mexican citizens and law enforcement officers. In the video embedded above, Calderon talks about some of the carnage he witnessed firsthand, including the death of friends and a young girl who lost an arm as a result of being shot.

Calderon also acknowledges that neither he nor any of his fellow law enforcement officers were aware of Fast & Furious. They were completely in the dark, meaning there was no coordination between ATF agents and Mexican LEOs as to the nature of the operation. (How does the ATF track guns once the buyers cross over into Mexico? Answer: They don’t.) Watching CNN one day is how Calderon found out.

Agent Terry’s death in December of 2010 put Fast & Furious in the national spotlight. Lawmakers then launched a probe into the operation, during which, then-acting attorney general Eric Holder was placed in contempt of Congress for failing to turn over hundreds of subpoenaed DOJ documents and emails to investigators. President Obama invoked executive privilege to save Holder’s hide. Holder never faced prosecution. He has flirted with the idea of running for president, though.

A statement obtained in 2012 from Sinaloa lieutenant and “logistics coordinator” Jesus Vicente Zambada-Niebla indicates that the U.S. government never had any intention of tracking down those firearms. Rather, they were a gift to Sinaloa leadership, i.e. kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, for its cooperation in rooting out rival cartels.

An excerpt from court documents obtained by Business Insider:

[T]he United States government at its highest levels entered into agreements with cartel leaders to act as informants against rival cartels and received benefits in return, including, but not limited to, access to thousands of weapons which helped them continue their business of smuggling drugs into Chicago and throughout the United States, and to continue wreaking havoc on the citizens and law enforcement in Mexico.

Given the U.S. government’s sordid history of sending arms to dictators and despots and rebel groups and failed states and, generally speaking, not nice people it wouldn’t be all that surprising if Holder and Obama jumped into bed with El Chapo at some point. On that front, who knows, Fast & Furious may be the tip of the iceberg.

What is actually shocking is that despite widespread public reports that our government engages in extremely shady business from time to time, half the country — the modern Left — is efforting to give it more power at the cost of our individual rights and liberties.

Today, the Left is actively working to disarm the 5 million members of the National Rifle Association because we are the “terrorists.” You know, because taking your daughter hunting or participating in a 3-Gun competition or responsibly carrying a pistol for self-defense are tantamount to domestic terrorism.

Meanwhile, the Left wants to prop up trustworthy bureaucrats and politicians who run guns to the known child killers and body mutilators of the Sinaloa cartel because while you and I don’t “need an AR-15,” as the Left reminds us, these upstanding men do.

It’s worth asking, how many Chicago gangbangers with ties to the Sinaloa cartel got guns from our government? Hmmm…”Weapons of war don’t belong on our streets,” squawks the Left. Right, so tell the government to stop putting ’em there.

Long overdue on POS Holder. Hopefully now that we have a real AG, he will look into this criminal enterprise.

  • Kane May 31, 2019, 7:32 pm

Now that Sessions is gone, this should be investigated. Barr seems like he might be the type of person the US need to investigate this criminal abuse of power.

  • Roy Horn May 31, 2019, 5:11 pm

The Obama administration only changed the name, or the operation. The gun that killed the officer was actually put into the operation under the Bush administration

  • Roy Horn May 31, 2019, 5:08 pm

Well, it’s the same operation, only changing the name only to FnF when They found out their target was a car guy. Other than that, exactly the same from 2006 when it started. I’m a cop, and I think that was a terrible idea from the start, giving guns back to criminals so they can get caught with them, usually after committing a crime, up to homicide even, to get the “big fish.”

    “efforting” ?????

  • Roy Horn May 31, 2019, 9:56 am

Well, let’s not forget it was actually the Bush administration that started Fast & Furious. Or at least no one seems to care. As pro 2A as I am, I refuse to rewrite history, nor should anyone else. Eric Holder just over saw the existing programs, and the Obama administration didn’t modify what was already in place by the Bush administration.

    • WyoDude May 31, 2019, 11:09 am

There was a program run by ATF’s Phoenix Field Division called Operation Wide Receiver that started during the Bush administration, but Operation Fast and Furious was a specific effort launched after Obama took office in 2009.
Just saying there is a difference!

    • Dean R May 31, 2019, 12:14 pm

Wrong! A similar ATF operation was initiated under Bush’s watch named “Wide Receiver”. An I.G. 512 page report found “Fast and Furious” started in Oct 2009 on Obama’s watch.

Holder should be extradited to Mexico.

  • Wylie May 31, 2019, 7:57 am

So why is Holder still walking around? As far as I recall there is no statute of limitation on murder! These elites will skate from any justice!

    • E. Manley May 31, 2019, 8:36 am

” WHY ” Indeed , is that worthless POS still out walking around .
Accessory to murder and ‘ Gun running 2500 Weapons ‘ are still crimes of the highest order . Mexico should call for his head on a stick !

My idea of gun control is this. Every gun before it is sold would be ballistic recorded like finger prints. Then when you purchase that gun you are responsible for that weapon until it is destroyed by law enforcement. No matter how many times it is sold it is still yours, kinda like a child. This would help solve the problem of resale to whom you don’t care about, but to make a few bucks. Maybe the company that made the weapon would have to buy it back if you didn’t want it. I like guns, use to sell them. I know there are a lot of problems with what I said. Gotta start somewhere.

    • Retnavet May 31, 2019, 6:54 am

No you don’t “gotta start somewhere”

      • panamadan May 31, 2019, 3:25 pm

I agree that you don’t “gotta start somewhere”. It was already started and settled over 200 years ago.
Besides that, most handguns and many rifles have interchangeable barrels, so that idea would never work anyway. Someone who used to sell guns should be well aware of that…

    • Link Lackluster May 31, 2019, 7:47 am

      Dumb dumb dumb.

    • john May 31, 2019, 8:50 am

ok genius, I buy a $50 replacement barrel, now what ? how about you buy a car , from then on you are responsible , it’s now your responsibility not to sell it to a drunk ! so sick of people looking at an object and blaming it instead of the person using it . once you start this Bs regulation , there is no stopping . look at England , they ban guns , now they have knife problems … what’s next ban that too ? register your knife ?

    • D.J. May 31, 2019, 10:14 am

Thom , that is one of the most disingenuous piles
of bilge I’ve heard this month .
One has a right to remain silent , I’d suggest you
      exercise it , …….. please !

    • KCsmith May 31, 2019, 10:17 am

Start by sobering up before you decide to post foolish ignorance

    • Dean R May 31, 2019, 12:16 pm

You “Gotta” shut your ignorant burger hole.

    • Kevin Baxter May 31, 2019, 4:22 pm

Um, how difficult is it to change a barrel on a Glock or an AR?
You should follow the advice someone once gave to remain silent to avoid confirming your ignorance of a subject.

  • Bobs your uncle May 24, 2019, 5:05 pm

I’ve always wondered what would stop twenty thousand armed persons (like the Cubans in Venezuela) from taking over large portions of California. What? they already have?

  • Nicks87 May 24, 2019, 12:54 pm

If you vote Democrat you are voting for criminals plain and simple; bold faced, lying slime-ball, low-lifes. Pelosi, Schumer, Obama, Jerry Nadler, Adam Schiff… The list goes on and on… People willing to destroy our country and our govt just to line their own pockets. They will spend your money on people who hate America and freedom and they will tell you it’s the moral and patriotic thing to do. Liars, each and every one of them.

    • Michael Gothard May 31, 2019, 11:59 am

That is a reasonable comment. How else would a minor “public servant” with a small bank account become President and leave office as a multi-millionaire? If Democrats had their way, America would become similar to the USSR of the 60’s.
