Fluted Bolt

Housed in a customizable and adjustable MDT Field Stock chassis system, the Patriot LR Tactical is fed from a metal AICS-style detachable magazine, offering a 7-round or 10-round capacity, and is compatible with aftermarket AICS-style mags (caliber-specific).

It features a twin-lug push-feed machined-steel action with a medium bull, carbon steel barrel featuring an 11-degree match crown and matte blue finish.

The barrel is also threaded (5/8”-24 threads per inch) for ease of adding a suppressor and includes a protective thread cap. The factory-installed 20 MOA Picatinny rail provides for added elevation adjustment with most optics.

7mm prc would have been a better choice than 6.5prc.

I recently bought the really lightweight model in 300 WM, just a standard patriot. I really like it for 4 shots, then that fluted pencil barrel is too warm to stack a 5th or 6th shot at 600 yards I generally shoot. It is what it is…but for 4 shots the Mossy will hang with my 2 best Savage heavy barrels in 300 WM. So let’s see this baby in 300 WM and I’m on board. Looks nice, thanks.

Nice rifle! However, I’m still waiting for a more compact .308 (AICS or AR/LR or M1A style magazine fed) that will make a handy trunk gun when travelling through AR hating parts of (what once was) the U.S. My Light barreled M700 in a MagPul “Hunter” stock weighs a ton (at 9 lb. what “hunter” would want that?). My Mossberg Patriot with med/heavy bbl is almost as heavy. BTW you don’t need a heavy barrel to make a rifle accurate, right? I’m thinking I will re-stock that Remington and rebarrel the Mossberg. Still, that Patriot LR Tactical IS a nice gun.
