A pro-2A rally in Pennsylvania this week drew sharp criticism from a state-based anti-gun organization.
Adam Garber of CeaseFirePA slammed attendees and speakers at Tuesday’s“Rally to Protect Your Right to Keep and Bear Arms” in Harrisburg for not openly discussing ways to address gun-related violence.
“People at the rally are not offering common-sense solutions to suicide and domestic violence and gun homicides,” he told a local ABC news affiliate. “But rather, they’re pointing towards a phantom threat about people’s rights to bear arms. There’s no risk to people’s right to bear arms.”
Garber also claimed that the surge in gun and ammo sales this year has had deadly consequences.
“What we’re now seeing is the violence that follows from that. We’re seeing homicide rates increase, calls to domestic and suicide hotlines increase across the state of Pennsylvania,” Garber said.
One of the speakers at the rally, state Rep. Stephanie Borowicz (R-Centre, Clinton) indicated that there has been an 80% jump in gun sales and 139% jump in ammo sales.
Garber seems to be exclusively pinning the uptick in violence to the lawful sale of guns and ammo to responsible citizens.
Interestingly enough, he made no mention of COVID lockdown orders that included the early release of inmates from jail and a cutback of policing in high-crime neighborhoods to slow the speed of the coronavirus as a potential cause for the increase in violence.

Nor did Garber mention the rioting in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia following the death of George Floyd, where peaceful demonstrations devolved into chaos and disorder, and the ensuing calls to “Defund the Police” from activists and politicians.
Apparently, there is only one true source for all the civil unrest and mayhem: law-abiding citizens exercising their right to keep and bear arms.
Speakers at the event called out this sort of anti-gun illogic.
“We continue to hear so many anti-gun promises. Of course they like to use terms like gun sense and gun safety to make it appear that they are supporting gun owners. But they’re not and they don’t,” said Kelly Ann Pidgeon with Armed and Feminine, an organization that provides training to women and youngsters. “They’re not going to stop until this American population is disarmed.”
Civil disarmament is not a “phantom menace,” as Garber claims. Even just a cursory glance at the Biden-Harris plan on guns at JoeBiden.com tells the story of the Democratic goal to systematically dry up the supply of certain firearms and accessories while bankrupting the gun industry in the process.
Simply put, anyone who argues that the Biden-Harris agenda does not greatly imperil gun rights is either out to lunch or complicit in the scheme to disarm America.

Adam Garber, I can see that you have never had a lick of history in your life, except perhaps with the propaganda you got in school.
Every society that has been disarmed in history have been either enslave or eliminated. Stop hallucinating and wake up.
In England they took away guns (except from the criminals) and crime escaped as it does everywhere else. Now murders are committed by knives and the Muslim mayor wants to eliminate knives, while the black market is increasing the numbers of guns to the criminal element. Make decisions on science and data, not magical thinking. If someone wants to commit suicide, they will find another way.

So, we can only be lead to believe he is either incredibly ignorant of Biden’s plan for firearms control and confiscation, or an outright liar.
Either way, he does NOT speak to ‘common sense’ controls, but backs up the Democrat system which HAS made it clear that they would prefer complete bans on many types of firearms. All the while debasing those who oppose such plans.
The word ‘jackass’ comes to mind.
The ones crying for gun control, don’t see they are enabling the violence. The spike in gun sale came from left leaning individuals. They understood that the only way to defend themselves, and there family was to buy a firearm.
And yet such individuals will overwhelmingly end up voting Democrat because they buy into all the other promises of “free stuff” and “unicorns”
Absolutely…it’s like they’re lining up at the gallows arguing that they’re next in line…SMDH…I simply don’t get it.
All a man can do at this point is arm themselves and purchase enough ammo to keep themselves and their families safe for many years to come…
I am overly armed…and my grandchildren (if I ever have any! 🙂 ) will still be shooting ammo that I have stored now.
