Colion Noir appeared on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” this week to talk about the Biden-Harris plan to confiscate firearms from law-abiding citizens.
One of the concerns the two expressed is that while many of us active and enthusiastic 2A advocates are well aware of Biden and Harris’ support for mandatory “buyback” schemes that suddenly criminalize the possession of lawfully owned firearms and accessories thus forcing citizens to sell these items to the government or else face prosecution, vis a vis Canada and New Zealand, folks outside our community or on the fringes of our community generally seem unaware of or indifferent to the threat Biden-Harris pose to one’s right to keep and bear arms.
It’s hard to pinpoint a single reason for this phenomenon. Maybe due to COVID-19 and a down economy, voters’ priorities are focused elsewhere. But that doesn’t make much sense as gun sales have skyrocketed in response to the pandemic and the widespread civil unrest we’ve witnessed following the George Floyd riots. NSSF estimates that there are as many as 5 million new gun owners! People it would seem are more cognizant of the need to keep guns for self-defense in these troubled times, not less…

Maybe gun-rights groups and gun media have been crying “Wolf” too long on the subject of confiscation and it now falls on deaf ears. After all, despite what the NRA said during the eight years of Obama, the former president never came for our guns. Although, in truth, it’s not for lack of wanting or trying. He was thwarted by Republicans when he pushed an assault weapons ban in his second term. Which brings up a third possibility…
Maybe there’s a belief that a GOP-controlled Senate and conservative-leaning Supreme Court would stand in the way of any significant gun control. Should Trump succeed at getting Amy Coney Barrett on the bench of the high court there would be a decisive pro-gun majority. Any unconstitutional gun law would then be on the chopping block henceforth. But that has yet to happen. And, as we saw in the recent debates, there’s no guarantee that a Biden administration wouldn’t expand the court, packing it with liberal, anti-gun justices.
Whatever the reason, I do agree with Tucker and Noir that there is a lack of urgency on this issue. The preservation of our Second Amendment isn’t being talked about with the same concern as other issues. Why do you think that is? Why aren’t more people talking about the gun-grabbing agenda of Biden-Harris?

It gets worse and more ominous. if you listen, the rhetoric has shifted from “assault weapon” to “weapon of war.” The language gets broader by the day. Biden recently asked why anyone needs a gun that shoots 9mm, a military cartridge. Thus any gun or ammo with a military pedigree will be deemed “weapon of war” and banned. Say goodbye to your 1911, your milsurp bolt actions, 45 acp, 30-06, 8mm Mauser, etc.,

Sadly no. If they lose, and that’s a huge IF, Harris just goes back to the senate to continue effin America up. If they want to pass all these dumbass laws how about one that in order to run for a different office you must resign from the public position you now hold. For those paying attention, Friday (yesterday 10/09/2020) Pelosi began her move towards the 25th Amendment to remove a sitting president which everyone took for granted was aimed at removing President Trump. That may be true in part, but her real intent and goal is to use it to remove Biden if he’s somehow elected, and move Harris into the oval office as president. Keep in mind that it was Harris that the liberal leftist dems wanted to win the nomination to veer OUR nation into the trash can, but she and her views are so far left that they are left of openly communist Crazy Bernie, making her so unpopular that she was the first dem to drop out of the run for presidency. They STILL want her in OUR oval office though, and the way to do that IF Hidin’ Joe Biden somehow wins, have him declared unfit, removed, insert Harris. Pelosi has been saying that this is about “future presidents” and few are paying attention.
In any event, a “Harris-Biden” administration would be death to America, OUR Constitution, OUR 2nd Amendment. OUR nation is on the brink of destruction.

That is, since the confiscation would be unconstitutional, the states nullify it, not recognize it and ignore it. Similar to Virginia City and county gun sanctuaries as they are going on today. To a very large extent, I agree with you. But, there are many who know little or nothing and ‘absorb’ a lot of what they hear and do not verify what they hear – for whatever reason(s). If they hear no opposing opinions or ideas, they will and have believed what they/we have heard from the progressive left. How much of that is because of the agenda and narrative of most main stream media? I also think that conservative people have been so busy working hard and raising the best families they/we can that they/we have allowed allowed significant portions of the false narrative of the left to prevail. This MAY explain why so many Republicans seem so “squishy” on their positions and do not seem to oppose the progressives as a cohesive body in the same fashion the Democrats/left oppose the conservative agenda and narrative.

Repeating my sentiment posted on this venue before…there are a LOT of jerks out there who should not be allowed to own guns…and I am a “liberal” political independent who loves guns, grew up with them from childhood (boy scouts, family members, etc.)…for the purpose of hunting, target competitions, and so on. Again, I love guns. I HATE idiots who who use the second amendment to justify and promote political agendas, period. I think a large majority of US citizens agree with me…not talking about confiscating guns from responsible citizens…yes talking about idiots who show up, for example, at peaceful protests, etc., with weapons intended to threaten those who disagree with them (this is NOT American values).
