Ruger’s latest release is here: the LC Carbine in 10mm Auto.

If you’re looking for a lightweight carbine with some solid features, this one’s worth checking out. It comes with a 16.25″ threaded barrel, adjustable folding stock, Ruger Rapid Deploy folding sights, and ambidextrous controls.

With the stock folded down to its shortest, the LC Carbine measures just 28.6″, making it compact enough for a range of uses.

MSRP Is $1,049. (Photo: Ruger)

This 10mm version builds on the .45 Auto model and comes ready with right- and left-hand bolt releases, a reversible magazine release, and compatibility with most Glock-pattern 10mm magazines—so no need to worry about hunting for proprietary mags.

The free-float aluminum handguard has M-LOK attachment slots and QD points for slings, plus a full-length Picatinny rail for optics.

The folding stock is adjustable and reversible, and if you want to swap it out for an AR-pattern stock, that’s no problem. It also breaks down easily without tools, so cleaning and maintenance are a breeze.

Ruger’s Secure Action™ fire-control system, which features a bladed-safety trigger and protected internal hammer, promises a smooth pull and quick reset.

The LC Carbine is made from lightweight, durable materials right here in the USA, and it’s designed to work for everything from range days to home defense or hunting.

In short, it’s a versatile addition to the 10mm market without too many unnecessary frills.

How ’bout a version that doesn’t look like a machine gun? Don’t get me wrong. It’s a beautiful weapon, but I prefer something simpler, like the new Henry carbine (only cheaper). 10mm is an awesome caliber for a carbine. When a plainer version is available, I will get one. Stay safe. j
