SIG P320 X-Five Now Shipping!

The P320 X-Five Full Size is now shipping!

Sig fans excited about the P320 X-Five can rejoice!  The flagship of the 320 X-Series is now shipping! That’s right, the P320 X-Five will be hitting shelves in the very near future.

GunsAmerica got our first look at this bad boy and its siblings at SHOT Show 2017.  Clay, who has gone on record as not being on #TeamSig, was blown away.

“Dreading my upcoming interview about the X-Five, and wondering if I could keep a straight face, we trudged into the SIG booth. Phil Strader handed me the P320 so I could check it out while the camera guys set up, and an amazing thing happened. I didn’t hate it. At all,” wrote Clay.

“It has the best out of the box trigger I have ever seen in a striker gun,” he went on. “It makes expensive add-on triggers for other plastic guns feel stupid by comparison.”

Needless to say, we were all really impressed with the P320 X-Five.  You can check out our video from SHOT Show below.

Specs

  • Caliber: 9mm Luger
  • Frame Material: Polymer
  • Slide Finish: Nitron
  • Slide Material: Stainless Steel
  • Barrel Material: Carbon Steel
  • Accessory Rail: M1913
  • MSRP: $1,005.00

The P320 X-Five 9mm combines the best of both worlds in terms of style and shootability.  That is to say not only does is shoot well, but it looks cool too.

The grip on all P320 platforms features a deep trigger guard undercut, a higher backstrap and an extended beavertail to ensure one can get a higher grip to better handle recoil. Additionally, there is a removable grip weight for optimal balance.

The X-Five comes with four 21-round magazines, a detachable magwell, Precision Fiber Optic front sight and adjustable rear sights.  The rear sight can also be removed and replaced with a ROMEO1 red dot.

With respect to the trigger that Clay was so hot about, it is Sig’s “straight trigger” that breaks at 90 degrees, which makes it feel like it’s lighter than it really is.  Altogether, the P320 is one impressive firearm.

Make sure to find your local dealer on GunsAmerica to score a P320 X-Five.

Unless there is a voucher for a free Romeo 1 in the box that’s about $200 to $250 too high.

Dear Sig, This new gun needs a complete field test. You should send me one and a case of ammo. I promise to write a thorough, concise review ….really I promise.

Anyone know if there are plans for a .45 variant of this?

When are the import restrictions going to be addressed so that we can get REAL X5 pistols in the US again?

I own a P226 Legion 9mm with the straight trigger, SAO. It has quickly become THE favorite handgun in my stable. The original P320 can be had new for $500-$600. And I have seen them used for less. Considering the new X-Five MSRP, and the fact that the Legion MSRP is about $200 more, is the X-Five really worth the extra bucks? I have not seen or shot one, so I am just asking.

Value is in the wallet of the beholder. But note that the new X5 comes with over $200.00 worth of mags. The 21 round mags retail for around $60 bucks and you get four of them. It also comes with a removable, adjustable rear sight. I have two 320s and I want one of these too!

I’ll believe that they have shipped, when I receive the 2 that I ordered!
Sig has a history of not shipping as promised! They’ve always had great engineering and quality, but their production scheduling coupled with marketing promises are way over optimistic, if not out and out lies.

They have shipped. I have in my possession right now. Hopefully a range trip happens in the next few days to see how it performs.

Awesome! Please report back on how it shoots.

  • Dan April 21, 2017, 6:15 am

Okay! Sig now where is the thread barrel? Got one for ita. Put it on and you’ve got my cash money right now!

    • PaulWVa April 21, 2017, 9:47 pm

Why would you put a suppressor on a target pistol? Making a movie?

      • ssrao June 15, 2017, 10:15 pm

        A compensator.
This was designed for action pistol competitions.

  • Randy Baldauf April 21, 2017, 3:41 am
