Ruger officially rolled out short-barreled rifle (SBR) versions of three familiar platforms: the PC Carbine, 10/22, and Ruger American Rifle Gen II.

The Harrier comes in two configurations, and both offer more than the usual features in a quality production gun from a reputable manufacturer.

Rather than a cosmetic refresh, Ruger is positioning the Harrier as a clean-sheet redesign focused on fit, function, durability, and aftermarket compatibility. Areas that matter most to today’s MSR buyers.

The new Model A keeps the same down-to-earth design and workhorse reliability but brings it back at an even better value, with an MSRP that’s $100 less than comparable Gen I models.

The Prairie models arrive in both intermediate and long-range chamberings, from .22 ARC up through 7mm PRC, covering everything from windy-day rodents to antelope and mule deer.

Carbon fiber barrels have revolutionized the long-range rifle platform in the past few years.
