Ted when are you going to be the head guy at the NRA?

  • Mike July 8, 2018, 7:17 pm

Ted should have replied to stop the shootings it maybe impossible as the water theory is correct, but to eliminate these gun free zones and to let legal firearm holders carry in these area it would give these insane bad guys something to really consider and think about before attempting these attacks. It may not eliminate 100% but it will reduce these tragic episodes by a great considerable amounts. Concealed carry is a sheep dogs tool to protect the sheep in case a wolf enters and attacks the innocent. Can save many lives and stop the attack before it can go forward. 1st response on the spot.

  • John July 8, 2018, 4:22 pm

Ted is 100% correct. He is right to own and bear arms. Going don’t kill people it is the person behind the trigger!!!! That Dr needs to see a doctor for not reporting this to the authorities!

  • Tony July 7, 2018, 6:02 pm

    Thank you so much Ted!

  • Tom July 6, 2018, 11:42 pm

I can live without Uncle Ted, he is an entitled hypocrite and a liar not to mention a potential draft dodger, that being said while his message is 100% accurate (the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun) coming from him its just diatribe, not everyone can suck a LEO’s di*k and get LE credentials so he can carry ANYWHERE. Ted is NOT a good spokesperson for the 2A cause period dot com.

    • Leighton Cavendish July 13, 2018, 10:22 am

Cassius Clay dodged the draft, too. You may remember him as Ali.

  • D.J. July 6, 2018, 6:25 pm

Ted Nugent ; a great American , NRA board member , hunter of the best
sort , the ” motor-city madman ” , and an idol to all true patriots .
Tell it like it is , “uncle Ted ” !!!
Can anyone with half a brain dispute ?
This is why , as a life member , he gets my vote anytime he’s on our ballot !
    Need I say more ?
    Did’nt think so!!!

  • Max Powers July 6, 2018, 3:08 pm

Firstly to Mike regarding his comment that Ted Nugent was a draft dodger, I’d like to ask what benefit to the USA our presence in our Vietnamese “police action” reaped. For that matter, what benefits were gained by the presence of American Troops in Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iraq-again, Somalia, Lebanon, Panama, Kuwait, Bosnia, Grenada, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Haiti, and wherever else American youth’s blood has been spilled? I have done a little heavy reading and have found that the economic benefits to the few by the flex of our tax dollar fueled mighty force deployments worldwide since WWII have not actually achieved the mainstream line of “Spreading Democracy” . . . as we’ve been told. And although the big ones, WWI and WWII have their own nasty little secrets behind motivations, at least they actually achieved a lasting “peace” in various regions. So, although my son is career military, I can remain proud of his service, but disagree with the political and financial motivations of where and how he serves. And if he loses his life so that we can continue to control the opiate market out of the “Stan”, I will not be too happy about it. On a personal note, like Ted, I’ve chosen to serve domestically, where I have a much better impact on daily quality of life issues of Americans in America. Mike, what have you reaped in benefit from our tax dollar fueled military actions as listed in this diatribe of mine?

Now, for why I have chosen to chime in . . . mental illness as a critical root cause, and our failure to not only properly address the growing issue, but, to avoid it altogether!

Consider that I began my domestic service in uniform 30 years ago. My very personal experiences with the mentally ill in the 1980s was to place them in protective custody and transport them to one of the many readily available institutions in my metro area and intake them with a half-sheet of data. From there, the affected was held for 72 hours and evaluated. Their records were State held and could be moved between facilities within that period. If the person remained a danger to themselves or others at the end of that 72 hour period, they stayed. If they weren’t, after the evaluation ended, they were released and follow up monitoring occurred.

Fast forward to today, and when encountering a similar individual, I take them to an emergency room for that E.R. Doc to evaluate and decide if there’s a reason to exercise the 24 hour maximum hold on a person. If there is, then they call the ONE facility that’s still operational and are told of the months-long waiting list to intake and they are released back into society. The multi-thousand dollar medical bill is paid by the taxpayer, and the affected is given best wishes and a bottle of meds to trade in the street for better self-medication options, like opiods, cocaine derivatives, or other illicits. I or others dressed like me do the follow up work during their next “episode”.

In today’s society there are new and improved pressures and temptations available to our collective psyche. Yet, there’s nowhere for anyone to be placed when the overindulgence or overload warrants.

So, why don’t we spend some $$ and bring back mental institutions. Fund them through public/private partnerships. Fund them from the bloated defense budgets that are going to endanger our folks in faraway lands for convoluted reasons. Regulate the facilities so they don’t become the “madhouses” that caused the deinstitutionalization movement of the 1960s to resurge.

Give the Ritalin generation an opportunity to become restored upstairs and released under real supervision. Not a case-worker with 365 files on their desk, and if they’re lucky, everyone gets one day of follow up annually . . .

    . . . and watch what happens.

At no point did I advocate anything to do with firearms in my rant. If they were mentioned in my FULL restoration to a peaceful society concepts, the leftist viewpoint would balk. So if we want to come together on an issue, start with putting proper light on fixing mental health issues and aggressively addressing them. Or, conversely, create legislation that gives the objector to the institutional resurgence concept a mandate to take someone home with them and feed them and care for ’em themselves!

    • Terry October 1, 2019, 11:20 am

      Max
I agree with you 100%. Not having ANY mental health evaluation and care is “crazy”! I would also think that universal background checks and assault rifle bans would be reasonable as well. I think most of the American public could get behind that if it helped reduce the number of gun related deaths. Now perhaps it would not but I don’t see it as an experiment worth trying. And I am in NO WAY supporting any taking away of 2nd amendment rights in saying this. I do not, and never would , support that. But something has to be done. We need to at least take some baby steps and stop letting the NRA hierarchy dictate to the American people!

  • Mike July 6, 2018, 12:16 pm

Ok, let’s give the liberals what they want. Pelosi, Bloomberg, Schumer, etc., but let’s make it fair. We ban ALL guns so there will be no questions or grey areas. Paint guns, staple guns, chalk guns too. So now, all areas will be gun free. Police guns too, as they won’t be needed. Hell, we won’t need police anymore either. But, again to be fair: Next time some “Joe” decides to slam a six pack , then takes out an innocent driver by being DWI, we find out what he drank, then that goes too. Someone rents a Ryder truck then plows into a crowd, Ryder trucks no more.
To gun free zones: Simply put, they are soft targets. Where would you attack, near resistance, or no resistance. Rob a bank next to the police station, or the one out 15 miles in the country in a small town.
It’s just sad that liberals won’t stop this agenda until they get what they want. By banding together, decent SCOTUS judges, people like Mr. Nugent who aren’t afraid to talk commonsense instead of the Hollywood types who feel it’s ok to make a living on the big screen with guns, but be anti in real life. I guess it’s OK to be hypocrites and afford body guards, but not ok for the average 2A person who just uses them responsibly and just wants to be left alone.
    Thanks for listening.

  • Michael Keim July 6, 2018, 11:48 am

If I were huddled up waiting for some goblin to execute me along with many others, I would be wishing I had a gun. I find it ironic that all the anti gun politicians, movie stars, singers, rich assholes like Bloomberg or Soros have lots of armed security. If unarmed is so wonderful let them all get rid of their armed body guards.
The other reason the 2nd amendment was put into place was to prevent tyranny, both foreign and domestic. I trust no politician. Anybody that does is a fool.

    • mtman2 March 5, 2019, 8:56 am

True tho the 2nd WAS outlined 1st for defense against tyranny +/or invasion= esp in light of local community militias as was seen in Lexington + Concord.

  • Mike July 6, 2018, 11:46 am

Didn’t “Uncle Ted” shit his pants on purpose to get out of being drafted and possibly sent to Vietnam – just saying.

    • Campbell King July 6, 2018, 6:32 pm

Smart if he did get out of that bs politician’s war….I got lucky on the draw myself..

  • Bill July 6, 2018, 11:40 am

When they talk about Va. Tech NOBODY mentions the armed campus police. They were hiding behind their phony cop cars and trees. What was their problem. Cowards. Great at busting a student with a 6 pack of beer but when shooting starts they do not run to the gunfire, the turn into jelly. How many lives would have been saved if only 1 of them had a pair.

    • Darryl July 7, 2018, 2:01 am

so true as we’ve found out about the same thing with the Los Vegas shooting. cops in the building justing standing around doing nothing. i seen pics of the cops on the ground where they were hiding behind a cop car, guns drawn looking at the building where they firing was coming from and in the same picture were people standing around the cops while they were doing the hiding as nothing was happening where these cops were.

  • Shelia coffee July 6, 2018, 11:24 am

I’m 100 % with Ted Nugent. If you outlaw guns only outlaws will have guns. As for the nutcase school and media shootings, all these shooters showed symptoms and or notified friends and authorities of the atrocities before they committed them. Ted has it right, DO SOMETHING ! For the love of God and your fellow humans call the police, FBI, DEA, OCB and then get all Your sane and legally armed friends and remove them from the perps reach. DO SOMETHING!!

  • Russ July 6, 2018, 11:09 am

Ted,remember the Video he made the night Trump was elected? A+

  • mike July 6, 2018, 10:51 am

Hey Rogen, want to KNOW FOR SURE how to STOP COMPLETELY ALL the “Mass Shootings”? DRAIN THE SWAMP AND GET RID OF ALL THE LYING, CHEATING, TREASON COMMITTING SCUMBAG PILES OF DOGSHIT IN ALL OF THE ALPHABET AGENCIES OF THE US GOVERNMENT THAT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PERPETRATING THEM AND THE MINISTRY OF PROPAGANDA IN AMERICA THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE “CHOREOGRAPHY” OF THEM! SIMPLE!

    • mtman2 March 5, 2019, 9:11 am

Never will evil ever be stopped. Mass murders will never stop until people can learn to not be victims. Take control learn to use and have your own protection. Guns are tools no more no less. If you travel to places where there banned your always the target . So either don’t go or protect yourself and family . Better to die fighting back then just being slaughtered.

  • me July 6, 2018, 10:20 am

You don’t stop evil by making yourself defenseless.

  • joefoam July 6, 2018, 9:12 am

Ted is labeled as a kook by the media and dismissed. He says Obama should suck on his 12 ga and he gets a visit from the Secret Service. Madonna wants to blow up the White House and Johnny Depp muses about an actor assassinating the president and they both get rounds of applause. The double standard is nauseating. I’m hoping for a giant red wave of conservatives to retake our country from this gang of anti-americans.

  • flintman50 July 6, 2018, 8:13 am

    Nuge for President….

  • Jay July 6, 2018, 7:43 am

We as a society are being trained by the government and it’s cronies to not do anything about threats! We have politicians, movie stars, entertainers anti-gun groups, etc…. who make public threats on our President and No One Does a Thing! It’s like the go ahead card to say what you want, threaten anyone you want, we don’t care and won’t take you serious! If the first amendment was infringed upon as much as the second they would all be yielding guns to stop it!

  • Raymond Brandes July 6, 2018, 5:22 am

I love Ted! There is no such thing as a gun free zone. Too many see ending gun free zones in order to let armed citizens deal with nut-case attacks. The real benefit is that ending gun free zones will be a great deterrent to the cowardly bastards who only go to those places where no one can shoot back.
End gun free zones and I predict these school attacks will vanish.
Unless I have to, I will not enter any gun free area.
I also agree with Mark regarding suppressors. In Europe, suppressors are not regulated and it is impolite not to use one.

  • Mark July 3, 2018, 7:11 am

Even with a supressor and subsonic ammo, a gun still gives off a recognizable report. How long do we have to wait for our govt. to allow a supressor to anyone who wants one? Without going broke or waiting a lifetime for approval?
