I can’t say that I’m a fan of every cool gadget that I find at SHOT Show, and as you can tell from my cool approach to this product in the video, expensive thermal imaging is not my lane.

With products like this, the devil is in the details should you decide to buy one. In our industry we have Flir and ATN that build robust and durable night vision and thermal products that are world class. Then I would say there is “everybody else,” and this product fits into this category. For all know, that the resolution in this product, a thousand bucks, and/or three thousand bucks, is a great price. That it doesn’t even use its own image processor to me is a little iffy. Why do I need to sandwitch a $100 to $1,000 phone in my riflescope when Android OS can run on a $35 Raspberry Pi, or any number of other small and cheap platforms, some even with quad core chips?

It could be that you are an expert on thermal resolution, and maybe you’ll clue us in here in the comments. I kind of get tired of the bonehead “overpriced junk” comments from people living in their parents’ basement, but if you have something positive to explain, by all means have at it. I’d never personally buy these products, but each to his own.

I can describe this guy and his “contributions” to GunsAmerica in two words; simply useless. Enough said!
