Thieves Plow Car Into Gun Stores, Steal 100 Guns in Two Days

2nd Amendment – R2KBA Current Events S.H. Blannelberry This Week

Authorities in Detroit, Michigan are currently searching for a band of thieves that stole almost 100 guns in two days.

Surveillance footage shows the suspects entering the stores by plowing a vehicle right through the front entrance.

Once inside, the masked bandits smash and grab as many guns as they possibly can.  They’re out within minutes.

Police believe there are at least 8 perps involved in the heists that targeted gun shops in Westland and Dearborn Heights, over the weekend.

Spencer Wong, who owns the gun shop in Westland, spoke to ABC 7 Detroit about the robbery.

“We even have a barricade back here because we didn’t think anyone would be willing to drive through the front,” he said, about the security measures he already had in place at his store, Armed in Michigan.

Wong said they made off handguns and long guns worth thousands of dollars.

“They’ve sure been here because they got the good stuff. They got the expensive stuff,” he said.

The thieves also hit CC Coins, Jewelry and Loan in Dearborn Heights using the same tactics.

Altogether they snatched about 100 guns, approximately 50 from each shop.

“They don’t care. They’ll just come. It’s kind of savage. They’ll do whatever they want. They don’t care,” Wong said.

Wong’s right.  They don’t care.  They will do whatever they want.  Yet, some politicians are convinced that if we just pass more draconian gun control that it will somehow stop these savages.

Maybe it’s worth asking specifically: Would universal background checks have stopped these thieves?  What about waiting periods or expanded red flag laws or new banking codes to track gun purchases?  Would they have made a difference?

No chance.  Someone willing to drive an automobile through a storefront doesn’t give a rip about what gun laws are on the books.  This is a point that is clear as day to everyone — well, everyone except those who want to destroy the 2A.

ATF is now offering a $20,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those involved.  Call 888-ATF-TIPS if you know something.

Of course moronic comments questioning how universal background checks would have prevented this. Laws don’t stop from being criminals because they are laws. For the morons making those comments I have a question. Laws against murder, drugs, rape, pedophilia etc, don’t stop those crimes they do prevent more than occur, do you want those laws to go away? You know because they still occur.

There are ways to “harden” your store to prevent thefts, such as this one. If the owner had planted steel pipes filled with concrete in front of his storefront, it would’ve likely thwarted this smash-and-grab. Also, a couple of guard dogs kept inside would present a visible deterrent. The cops are only gonna arrive after the fact to make a report, and maybe even cite the owner for not storing the guns “safely.”

Now, here’s a great “crisis” that could be exploited by the gun-ban groups to push for more gun control, er, I mean “gun safety.” If only we had universal background checks, purchase permits, bans on “assault weapons,” and 60 day waiting periods, thefts like this would Never happen. Right.

I think gun stores are going to have to become bunkers. Narrow entry doors. No large plate glass windows. Steel reinforced cement posts in front. Steel bar cages as part of the interior entry way that the staff can buzz in the customer once you see him/them.

If I owned a gun store that was vulnerable I would ask a different employee to sleep in every night… for extra pay or time off in return. He would be armed to the teeth of course.

Owning a gun store nowadays is like owning a bank or a marijuana dispensary… all easy targets with rich rewards.

When the local LE is complicit, or negligent, in aiding the criminal element, these thieves get bolder and bolder.

I know of someone whose property was burgled over 10 times, the owner caught, and held, a woman in his bedroom tossing cased rifles out the window. Both the arriving officers and the DA insisted there was not enough evidence to issue a search warrant to look for guns already stolen.

He recovered a loaded Para P13 magazine after another robbery, (he never had a double stack 1911, nor would he ever store one loaded), the investigator told him they were unable to get fingerprints.

He confronted them while they were committing the 12? Robbery, fired a few shots over their heads (rural setting) and chased them down as they attempted to flee, (dispatch kept telling him to back off, but he refused until police cars were able to take over).

Later in the day they arrested HIM for attempted murder, but let the criminals walk with a trespassing charge. (I should mention the pickup they were driving was STOLEN, but no LEOs thought to run the VIN or PLATE # at the time!!!!)

Long story short, some folks with some LOOOOONG rap sheets got away with a bunch of tools and guns, local law enforcement/lethal system did nothing, and even BATFE turned their back. Only cost him half a Million, or so in lost property and legal fees.

This is why you need to decide NOW how you will handle these situations. The police/sheriff are worthless for anything other than filing a report so your insurance will cover your losses. It’s time that we start making these scumbag thieves “disappear” without a trace.

      Who said crime doesn’t pay?

Also, too many idiots wearing the badge. Not just my own experience, but I’ve known top cops who told me about their field officers’ incompetence. Some cops view decent citizens as hardly any different than actual criminals. Your story here is a case in point. They charged the victim with attempted murder!
Very much follows Stalin’s Chief of Secret Police’s statement:
“Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.”

  • Alex September 19, 2022, 8:03 am

I guess those guns won’t be able to be tracked by the credit card companies from those dangerous customers that would have bought them legally. LMFAO…. FEAR A GOVERNMENT THAT FEARS YOUR GUN…..

  • paul I'll call you what I want/1st Amendment September 18, 2022, 12:26 pm

Thieves have been hitting gun shops all over our suburbs for years, nothing new for the Kleveland area…..what’s new is they have yet to put this on the law abiding, but I’m sure they will soon.

    Claymore mines?

    • Rattlerjake September 19, 2022, 7:36 pm

Small “booby” traps work just as well and are less destructive to your property. Remember, these azzwipes will never be missed if they just disappear.

  • Mike September 17, 2022, 10:14 am

If you were part of an organized rebel force, say one thats driven by religious extremism, and you managed to get 50,000 or so of your religious zealots into the country you hate most, through a very porous border. What would be your next step. Hmmmm….perhaps you would want to arm them without attracting too much attention. You might take a squad of your men, dress them in hoodies, and start knocking off gun shops. Mark my words, its coming.

  • Spiker September 16, 2022, 7:38 pm

You cannot for the love of what’s right apprehend, arrest , prosecute and jail ANYONE from a protected class who perpetually commits felonies, acts a fool when stopped by cops (because they feel they’re being targeted even though they have warrants out for their arrest) because they’re disproportionately being arrested for being black, brown etc because it just looks like the police are racist because they’re doing their jobs … When and where they can and if it’s a democratic run city the cops can’t even chas them after violently attacking anyone let alone 70 and 80 year old men and women. What’s wrong with you common sense people !? 🙄 For those who can’t decipher… I’m being sarcastic

  • Jerry September 16, 2022, 10:49 am

Blame Arnie, for doing that in Commando, for giving them the idea. Sometime back, wasent there a log cabin pawnshop, someone rammed a stolen semitruck in the front door, got it stuck, got away with nothing?

  • John Boutwell September 16, 2022, 10:36 am

13% of the population is black, they commit 40% of the crime in this country.

    • Kevin September 16, 2022, 7:13 pm

Popular YouTuber Colin Noir (who’s American of African decent) says it’s 50% also says that if he were waiting on an elevator and the door opened and there were three African American men standing in there he wouldn’t get in but instead he’d wait for the next car. That’s telling coming from an African American male!

  • Mitch Rezman September 16, 2022, 10:25 am

Fortunately, there are mandatory background checks provided by the ATF to keep us safe and secure – I’d hate to be the thief that gets picked to fill out 100 forms because that’s why background checks work so well.

  • Todd September 16, 2022, 10:22 am

I don’t know of a single owner of a business that has not had bollards installed. I also do not know of a single shop that was not granted a variance if they were initially refused.

Then, the ceiling and next breaking thorough neighboring properties – most especially vacant ones.

These have been knowns for decades.

  • Anglo September 16, 2022, 10:11 am

Undoubtedly, the public can’t be surprised when these operations are put into effect by the black culture. What else is new?

    • Ralph Cramden September 19, 2022, 10:07 am

But the perps were not black.

  • John Lakey September 16, 2022, 10:01 am

Maybe it was FBI paid Informers just following orders. Hey if Democrats can say crap, I can too.

    • Ralph Cramden September 16, 2022, 11:54 am

Exactly what I was thinking. Probably Biden and Democrats plan for sending the illegal aliens to different cities in the dark of the night. No IDs, perfect foil for robbing in an attempt to shutdown and squeeze gunshops out of business. Funny how the politically correct useless cops thought it was a good idea to stop the chase. Inside job by the Govt. and city.

    • Alex September 19, 2022, 8:08 am

Or it could be the Russians with the help of the extreme MAGA people LMAO…..

      • Ralph Cramden September 19, 2022, 10:05 am

Nope…more than likely people like you who vote DemocRAT and say eff the laws. We all know Dems have no regard for laws. Criminals vote DemocRAT. Fact!

        • Rattlerjake September 19, 2022, 7:58 pm

Sarcasm is lost on fools like you!

  • DEFENDER miller September 16, 2022, 10:00 am

    This is BAD.
    I blame the store owner.
With all the info out there of Phone and Gun Store break-ins
should have been a no-brainer to Protect a simple window
out front. Traffic posts in the ground, bars on windows, etc.

Makes us all look bad. And now the Actual Bad Guys have the Guns.

And we, honest owners, will eventually get the blame when they are used.

  • Bill clinton September 16, 2022, 9:08 am

The fbi should check with antifa. They might know something about it.

    • ej harbet September 19, 2022, 5:01 pm

doubt it because they’re are probably being armed by the woketard DOD.

  • Dr Motown September 16, 2022, 9:02 am

Of only we had expanded background checks and credit card tracking……oh. wait 🤔

  • StoryTimeDavid September 16, 2022, 8:55 am

Criminals will criminal and they will always have guns. The communist leftist democrats only want to disarm us law abiding citizens so that they can make us subjects to what ever they want. Democrats wanting to take away our rights isn’t to make anything safer they want to make us like other third world countries.

  • Let's go Brandon, FJB September 16, 2022, 6:41 am

Wait a minute… I thought that the recent credit card banking codes was going to help prevent criminals from getting guns. Oh that’s right; it’s only meant for the law abiding citizens. The deranged left loves their criminals.

  • Blue Dog (he/him) 🧢 September 15, 2022, 10:35 pm

Universal background checks and red flag laws would not have thwarted this robbery but the very same safe storage requirements being discussed in Los Angeles just a couple of stories up from this one might have. The same preventive measures that were described as making second amendment enthusiasts’ blood run cold.

    • Kane September 16, 2022, 11:26 am

Here we have BD in lock step with every government solution to respond to the acts of every criminal except the criminals within the government.

BD will never engage in a discussing of how BHO illegally ran firearms into Mexico and caused the death of a Federal Agent. Such issues are NOT worthy he’s attention. He is surely a ‘baby boomer’ but he was never the liberal way back when or right now.

BD did NOT post anything about how the current fake POTUS abandoned more weapons in Afghanistan than most Nations could muster. BIG WHIP.

BD did NOT have any thoughtful libral concerns on the steady march to a proxy war in THE Ukraine, nothing to see here.

BD is like all left-wingers that ingnore the crimes of his own base.

    • Dave September 16, 2022, 1:00 pm

Banning, coercion, frivolous laws, are all acts of futility against law abiding citizens Mr. He/Him. Maybe locking up and banning Liberal Democrats should be the law of the land since a vast majority of them commit unspeakable atrocities against this country and it’s citizens. As long as you trim the branches you will never get to the root of evil. Does that make your blood run cold Mr. He/Him?

    • Robert September 16, 2022, 1:15 pm

Blue bonnet.. Man it takes a special kind of liberal loser to continuously troll a gun site. What kind of pathetic Life and existence that you have to be a troll on a gun site for entertainment. I actually feel bad for you. Do you actually think you’re changing the minds of anybody here with your ignorance, that’s rhetorical.

    • D.J. September 16, 2022, 7:53 pm

      You , make true Patriot’s “ blood run cold “ .
It is alarming when you display your lack of
intellectual dexterity on such a regular basis .

You have to be doing this to get the attention
you clearly lack in social settings .

  • JB September 14, 2022, 3:18 pm

Kind of stupid for a gun shop to leave their inventory of guns under glass, not locked in place with the most basic wire rope thru the trigger guard method at minimum. This is Detroit, not Swampwater Idaho. But stupid is as stupid does. Anyone with half a brain locks up their arms inventory behind steel or concrete.

    • SuperG September 16, 2022, 9:06 am

I totally agree with you JB. These hood-rats were led by professional thieves, and you know they cased the place well before they hit it.

    • Kane September 16, 2022, 1:21 pm

I just had a relative who was Chicago PD for around 30 years pass away. He lived in the same neighborhood that he grew up. Blacks moved in and no one wants to live there any more. I would guess that “Swampwater Idaho” would seem like paradise even the worst criminals would want to destroy a differant locality. I know, it’s all the fault of WHITEY especially the ones that the fake POTUS is warning US about and vows to target.

I shop at a gun store in Naperville IL where there was recently an attempt to breach a the building by driving a vehicle through the structure. I am sure you know what you are talking about and how every firearm could secured like you describe. What a shame that people with “skin in the game” do NOY read your sage obsevations.

BTW, the relative who died had his house robbed by his wonderful neighbors the first night they knew he passed away.
