Tucker Takes a Stand Against Gun Confiscation: ‘I would never give up my gun’

2nd Amendment – R2KBA Authors S.H. Blannelberry This Week

Tucker Carlson is not going to give up his guns. In a recent debate with “The Collective PAC” founder Quentin James, the Fox News host made his position with respect to confiscation very clear.

“I would never give up my gun, under any circumstance. I wouldn’t. If I have a firearm in my house and I’m posing no threat I’m not giving it up and most Americans wouldn’t,” exclaimed Tucker.

The two men were debating Rep. Eric Swalwell’s proposal calling for a mandatory national “buyback” program, vis a vis New Zealand, that would require black rifle owners to turn ‘em over to authorities or else face jail time.

Earlier on the conversation, James attempted to walk back the California Democrat’s plan by saying that Swalwell would allow gun owners to possess ARs under certain, limited conditions.

“Tucker, thanks for having me,” James said. “And obviously again, you do have it a little wrong. Congressman Eric Swalwell did say he wants to ban military-style assault rifles. He also said that folks who want to keep them would be able to do so at a gun club or a hunter’s range in a locker, so it’s not taking them by force. It would be a buyback program. Again, this is his proposal, not mine.”

Swalwell did tell CNN that he was open to an “alternative” arrangement that would allow gun owners to “keep them at a hunting club or a shooting range.” But the real question is does anyone actually believe Swalwell, who is hoping to become the Democratic nominee for president, would not follow through with his confiscation manifesto?

“I know it’s not your proposal,” Tucker said. “But he just said, he said twice, he actually wrote a USA Today op-ed today saying it, and then he just said it on CNN, ‘People who don’t give up their guns will go to jail.’ He just said that. So it’s not a buyback program, that’s a gun confiscation by force.”

From the aforementioned USA Today op-ed that was originally published in May of 2018:

Instead, we should ban possession of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons, we should buy back such weapons from all who choose to abide by the law, and we should criminally prosecute any who choose to defy it by keeping their weapons. The ban would not apply to law enforcement agencies or shooting clubs.

James eventually capitulated the point that those who refused to comply with the law, in this case, the Swalwell “buyback” scheme, would be prosecuted.

Tucker said that a government bent on seizing firearms from its citizens could lead to another “civil war.”

“It’s scary, man. You’re scaring people when you talk like this,” he later added. “You’re scaring me.”

“Please don’t try this crap on America,” Tucker concluded.

I wasn’t going to bring it up but this “crap” has already happened in America in 2019. Bump stocks! Those are now — as of March 26th — machineguns under federal law. Any American caught with one faces felony charges, jail time and the permanent loss of their 2A rights.

Reports suggest that compliance with the new bump stock ban has been virtually non-existence, which may be a solid indication as to what would happen if Swalwell got his wish. As Tucker said, most Americans wouldn’t [comply].

What we have yet to witness is how things may heat up if/when the government decides to go after bump stock owners. Right now the Trump administration seems fine with the status quo, which is keep ‘em out of sight and you got nothing to really worry about.

But that could all change with a Dem POTUS in the White House. Someone like Swalwell could ratchet up enforcement overnight and send ATF agents out to homes of persons suspected to possess bump stocks. With the NSA’s massive surveillance system and our digital footprint on social media, it wouldn’t be too difficult for the government to create a list of targets with a high probability of owning such devices (As I mentioned in the past, mine were all suddenly and inexplicably stolen one night).

Same situation would be true if a national confiscation scheme of ARs was enacted. Few, if any, may voluntarily surrender their rifles but that wouldn’t matter because Big Brother could easily pinpoint suspected violators by doing rudimentary social media searches.  That would be after they took out all the vocal resisters to the ban.  Those freedom fighters troublemakers would be the first to go… to prison.

Maybe the ATF gets clever with it, too. Instead of pre-dawn raids at your home, agents nab you as part of a “routine traffic stop” on the way to the range or on the way back from a hunting cabin.  The more discreet the operation, the less resistance agents are likely to face.

Look, Confiscation squads already exist in states like California. It’s not much of a stretch to imagine a situation where they become mainstream in all 50 states. And, to bolster their effectiveness, citizens would be encouraged through financial rewards (a gas card at a local station or a gift card to a supermarket) to rat out neighbors spotted with “illegal guns.”

Yes, yes, it all sounds crazy until you realize that a precursor to that very scenario exists with the “red flag” laws that are sweeping the nation. Also known as extreme risk protection orders, these create an environment where authorities can execute immediate ex parte guns seizures when a police officer or family member (or teacher, in NY) tells a judge that one is a danger to themselves or others.

Point is Tucker should be scared. Because we’re heading in a direction where confiscation is going to become more common, where citizens are going to be more inclined to report one another for misperceived “dangerous” behavior, where personal privacy no longer exists. All of which is an ideal environment for complete civil disarmament.

typical leftist talking over so tucker couldn’t make his point. According to the constitution, all their gun laws are illegal and if they try to take them or put anyone in prison for standing for his rights we will defend ourselves. We can stand now and possibly die or get put in prison like Kamala and some of her congresswomen have stated they want to do then if you don’t agree you will be put to death anyway.

I’m sick watching a bunch of socialism whores sucking Liberty’s tits dry at the expense of waging an open war upon their own constitution.
When we abide by stupidity among any shape or form, we have just become stupid ourselves.
Abiding by the laws of ignorance from those committed to constitution genocide is not only beyond the realm of stupidity, it’s absolute insanity.
Our government has long reflected nothing, but absolute undisputed stupidity upon the entire face of this nation.
If we do not stop abiding by their laws of absolute ignorance they are going to retard us into bureaucratic enslavement.
Chains of steel don’t have shit on the invisible chains of bureaucratic red-tape.
The Democratic and Republican Party, are the embodiment of criminal hypocrisy and the very epitome of a completely corrupt democratic system pimping the deluded illusion of false choice.
This two party pile of shit represents the best of America then we should be ashamed of ourselves.
These two piles of political shit have done nothing, but take turns governing the ruin of this once great nation with the absolute finest stupidity and laws of ignorance that money can buy.
Whatever greatness America had was long destroyed by these two political parties.
The American people are under the rule of a criminal government using weaponized laws of ignorance to retard the nation.
Stupidity, is the most dangerous weapon in existence and we have let it take over our own government.
If Americans weren’t so goddamned addicted to the deluded demagoguery of two political
cons they’d be able to see that these political parties, are the core cause of the problem.
They are a disease rotting this nation from the inside out.
One robs your pockets while the other robs your freedom.
Too far in either direction, left and right become the same.
The Democratic and Republican Party were responsible for the greatest blood bath in American history. This alone should have been a testament to their own abolishment from the steps of government.
Now these political parasites, are once again in the midst of starting another American blood bath at the expense of all, but their own.

This one issue is gonna my to be the derailment of this country. The left thinks they can force their opinions on conservatives and many issues and to be honest most conservatives are working taking care of their families and they let a lot of it pass. I have heard to many times “it doesn’t directly effect me”. But rest assured I’ve never heard a conservative say gun control doesn’t directly effect me.
By the time they get mine I won’t need it any more. I will have suffered a sudden on set of lead poisoning.

The old saying : they ( government ) can pry it from my cold dead hands. I hear and read alot of Americans are talking, and only talking if ( government is listening and watching ) about a civil war. This country is f..ked up. Thank god for Donald Trump . Could you imagine if the clintons won the election!!

  • Tim Spalding April 20, 2019, 6:38 am

Every time these gun-haters say “law enforcement will be exempt from the ban” We should ask “why should law enforcement be exempt? If these guns are designed only for killing large numbers of people quickly, then why should law enforcement have them? Is that the purpose of law enforcement, to kill large numbers of citizens quickly?” Put these gun-haters on the defensive EVERY time.

  • Beachhawk April 20, 2019, 5:15 am

I’d really like to see Eric Swalwell try to confiscate all of the so-called assault style rifles in this country. He would not only have massive non-compliance by gun owners, he’d also have massive non-enforcement by law enforcement officers, especially in the West and South and Heartland.

  • Methadras April 20, 2019, 1:38 am

It’s really really really simple. A right that has to be permitted/licensed is no right at all. My 2A rights are inalienable. I don’t need a reason to own a firearm of any kind. The fact that BATF sets up rules and regulations in terms of what firearms I can/can’t own is an infringement. The CA DOJ gun roster is an infringement. But since they have the force of law and the infinite prosecutorial powers, I either die standing up or on my knees. You choose.

  • Kb31416 April 19, 2019, 8:53 pm

Stuff like this validates the decision to complete a few 80% rifles. They can get some, they might get most, but they won’t get all.

  • Jake April 19, 2019, 6:15 pm

If they are all at a gun club, which would require some kind of bureaucracy to be established at every gun club by the way, it would let the scum like Swalwell do a “one stop shopping” to seize all the guns. That doesn’t work for me. MOLON LABE!

  • Michael Gothard April 19, 2019, 3:39 pm

Welcome to “1984”, just a few years late.

  • Henry April 19, 2019, 12:59 pm

Another stupid law law by another a ridiculous politico. Why can you only keep it at a club? If some idiot, that shouldnt be allowed to own a black rifle in the first place, gets into Gun club and steals a black rifle then what? No place is safer than my house in my safe. This guy is just another Dem playing to the public outrage.
I know the next proposed law the Dems come up with, you can keep your knives but only in the Kitchen of your local club. People die all the time from being stabbed! Are they taking away my butter knife next?

    • glock19fan April 19, 2019, 9:39 pm

“Keeping it at a club” is what was required of gun owners in the USSR even under Stalin. It was allowed as long as the buyer was “politically correct”, the gun was for “sporting use only (that sounds familiarhere)” and the gun had to be kept at a shooting club. Also, if the gun was stolen and used in a crime then the owner was held liable (that has been proposed for here also). Those gun grabbers need to remember that the USSR doesn’t exist any more and bringing it here will meet lots of resistance.

  • Bobs your uncle April 19, 2019, 10:36 am

So, how does this apply to the estimated 25 million undocumented, illegal aliens? or to sanctuary cities and states? California already has some of the strictest gun laws anywhere and you can’t turn on the TV news with out hearing about a shooting or deaths where those populations are concentrated, that remark might be considered racist it might also be a fact. Democrats need to divert attention away from their new dependent class voters. If you are a Democrat, set a good example and turn in your firearms, thats right, all of them, now don’t you feel safer? I know I do.

    • Shelton Harrell April 19, 2019, 11:52 am

What’s next shotgun’s AR doesn’t stand for assault rife is stand’s for the company that make’s them beside’s it a semi-auto weapon not auto. weapon but like any other type rifle so the Dem’s won’t to take your weapon’s so let’s vote them out before it’s to late

  • Y2K April 19, 2019, 10:14 am

These people need to be asked for their definition of “military style”. What it means and what makes it more dangerous than any other semi auto weapon. Put them on the spot every time.

Painting your VW convertible red does not make it a Ferrari.

  • Me April 19, 2019, 9:41 am

The government did and still does this with full auto guns. With shotguns and rifles with barrels less than 18″ and 16″ respectively. It is a continuation so if we let them have the semi-autos then they will make an excuse for the rest.

  • Judy April 19, 2019, 8:57 am

This is exactly how Hitler took over Germany. Take away their guns, control the health system, control food resources (the lack thereof of good nutritional food and enough of it), walk those you hate and non-conformers into gas chambers and you have your socialist country.
The liberals care nothing about this country or her citizens. They are nothing more than a bunch of bullies and unless we take a stand soon this country will be one that people want to leave rather than flock to because all our liberties and freedoms will have been taken away. Shame on us as a whole for dumbing down our children and creating what we now call Millennials who cannot think for themselves and are nothing more than a flock of sheep following those who promise them everything but give them nothing in the end! God help us.

  • DEN April 19, 2019, 8:23 am

My FIL was a legal immigrant, naturalized citizen (RIP), from a communist country. He came to this country in the early 1930s. The country supposedly had very liberal gun laws for a commie country. He visited in the mid 80s to see his brother, mother and sister who were still locked behind the iron curtain. His family loved hunting. Only 2X barrel shotguns were allowed and they were kept in a Police Armory. To go hunting one had to go sign out THEIR shotgun and were given 10 shotgun shells. The shotgun had to be returned before sundown and all shells had to be accounted for used or not.
This proposal is awfully close to that

  • Tom April 19, 2019, 7:47 am

If the liberals can continue to pass laws to confiscate, every raid should be lead by Swalwell and his supporters. The good men and women in law enforcement do not need to be up front. This movement is so transparent. First disarm law bidding Americans, then control is easy, no thanks.
