Uncle’s Plea After One-Year-Old Niece Left Brain Dead: ‘Live for your kids’

Authors Rapid Fire S.H. Blannelberry This Week

Following a road rage shooting last week in Kent, Washington, that left his one-year-old niece brain dead, Edmond “Mackie” McNeil had an emotional message to the individuals responsible for the horrendous act.

“We need to stop the Seattle violence,” McNeil told KIRO 7.

“The CD [Central District], south end, whoever, wherever. It’s over. We’re trying to be living for our kids. Everybody needs to live for your kids, now. It’s over. You ain’t no gangster because you want to carry a gun. That’s stupid. Live for your kids. Be a PTA parent. Do something,” he continued, fighting back tears.

The individuals responsible for the shooting are still at large.

Thoughts and prayers for that baby girl. Hopefully the individuals responsible are brought to justice and the cycle of gang and drug-related violence that robs so many innocent people of their lives comes to an abrupt end.
