Uzcon Arms Defence
There have been rumblings about this gun for several months now, so it was nice to run across it at a small booth at SHOT. So far the gun has an importer, EAA, and the initial samples have been sent to ATF. That should be smooth sailing to get a gun in hand by later this year. At a pricepoint under $1,000, the gun should do very well in the US market, and we hope to see one soon.
I agree but nonetheless pretty cool. Our big 3 (or some say 4) Remington, S&W, Winchester & Mossberg are not trying new designs and if they do they’re nowhere near as radical as Siaga, Kel-Tec or this outfit (to name but a few).
This is how technology develops- sometimes it flops, but sometimes it doesn’t. I can see why a company might be reticent to develop something new (esp. shotgun tech– we all remember when a whole category was declared “DDs” back in the 90’s and many of those had technically identical features as these “new” weapons) but, in our tech driven world that’s where the $ is…
Ya can’t even find mags for the 1919
Why complicate a shotgun? New innovation is cool and all. But over thinking a shotgun just creates new problems. It’s interesting but I’ll stick with my time tested and proven 870.
