Last week, the oversight agency for the Chicago Police Dept. released graphic footage of a 2020 shootout between officers and a suspected carjacker.
The perpetrator, identified as Lovelle Jordan, was being transported to a local station on the morning of July 30th for processing after officers arrested him in a stolen Porsche.
Though bodycam footage shows them patting down Jordan and finding drugs in his pockets, the officers failed to discover the loaded pistol hidden near his groin area.
When the officers put Jordan in the back of the police car, handcuffed with his hands behind his back, he was somehow able to retrieve the firearm.

Officers opened up the door of the car at the station and that’s when Jordan began shooting.
He hit one officer in the chin and the protective vest. A second officer was shot in the hip and a third was struck in the protective vest.
Jordan was also shot in the melee and was subsequently left paralyzed. He was no stranger to law enforcement. Jordan was a convicted felon.
In April of this year, Jordan pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder and five counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer, according to Fox32. He was sentenced to 31 years in prison.
But his stay in prison didn’t last long. Several days after his sentencing he died there, the Illinois Department of Corrections confirmed.
Glad the perp was taken in and that no LEOs passed as a result. But it seems like the Chi-Town LEOs need better marksmanship training. Their tactics generally seem to be ineffective.
The dudes race doesnt matter. Crime is not exclusive to any one race. Buffalo???? No need to inject racist bigotry into this matter unless you want to unpack all the wars, mass murders, slaughters of innocents, etc at the hands of europeans and whites. This dude was clearly f’d up and thankfully he was apprehended. God handled the rest. And I’m not passive or Demo. I’m armed, but I think for the good of all.
Stupid is what stupid does! The suspect got his but those cops need to go back to the academy for training. The suspect was purposely putting his stomach and groin down towards the ground in the hope that the cops would not search his waistband and crotch and they did not. They made rookie mistake 101 what a bunch of dumb#*%s, I guess they don’t want to go home after every shift and want to leave someone a nice benefits package if they keep that up. But pain is a great motivator to change your ways,,,lol.

Having been born and raised in Cook County, Illinois and having known some Chicago Cops,. I know they do not take too kindly to people who try to kill them! Go Figure!

Why exactly do they need to “investigate” the shooting of a POS PERP, who draws down on Police, shoots one point blank, then returns fire! The Police Officers, from the first brave one who was shot, to the one who finally shot that POS, should all be given Commendations with letters of bravery in their files. Along with a pre-paid trip for them and their loved ones to the theme park of their choice, during a one week paid vacation, all in the name of appreciation and unwind from a harrowing experience.
Really? They deserve awards? It was their fault for NOT properly searching the perp. Law enforcement often create their own tragedy because of laziness. My praise goes to whatever caused his death in prison!

Rattlerjake maybe with all of your overwhelming tactical experience you can go show them how it’s done. Every time you went outside the wire I think I remember you being the most calm member of the team when things got real. Without a doubt rattlerjake you would have engaged this perp without any hesitation while maintaining 100% S.A ( situational awareness) of all the other officers involved. Man with a gun starts spraying and praying, no need to worry or rely on the training of the officers on scene, rattlerjake is gonna stay calm , draw clean , move to cover, instantly eye up his background, all while taking up trigger tention, before sending multiple threat ending well placed shots. Parties over folks.

John lallemand, ya think going to the pistol range would have helped? Shooting some those dangerous paper targets probably would have helped these officers handle the fact they had a fellow officer already down, a suspect who was randomly shooting in every direction, multiple other officers getting involved after the powder already started to burn. But dammit let’s make sure those officers go hang up some pieces of paper stand there and practice keeping them in the 10 ring. Maybe next time the officers can ask the suspect to stand still like the paper targets so at the range. Or maybe the standards of the entire department should be developed to that of a training facility like GBRS, or ND training standards. Which actually help with real life scenarios. Things happen fast, and rounds travel even faster, only way to get legitimately better besides real experience, is having training as real as possible.
