Video footage of a man with a gun being shot by Secret Service at a White House gate last month has been released.
The footage shows 31-year-old Jesse A. Olivieri, of Ashland, PA, approaching a White House gate armed with a handgun.
Agents of the Secret Service continually tell Olivieri to drop the gun, which was pointed at the ground. He refused the order. When he reached a security barrier, an agent opened fire, shooting him one time in the stomach.
Olivieri immediately buckled over and fell to the ground. Apparently, he told one agent that, “I came here to shoot people.” Paramedics were called and Olivieri was treated for the wound.
He appeared in court this week to answer for his crime. His lawyer asked the judge for Olivieri to be placed under house arrest as he has never pointed a gun at anyone before in his life.
The judge denied the request.
“I do find that Mr. Olivieri is a danger both to himself and the community,” said U.S. Magistrate Judge G. Michael Harvey of the District. “This is a serious crime, a crime of violence involving law enforcement officers whose job it is to protect the perimeter of the White House.”
Olivieri, who has received psychiatric treatment in the past, is now on medication. He will remain in custody and face charges for resisting arrest with a deadly weapon, which can carry a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

If you believe anything the government says you are a fool. Look how many times they have been caught doing evil, lying etc. Thousands of examples and no prosecutions. Watch the video closely, training videos don’t purposely try to show poor tactical procedures as this one does (poor muzzle control and handcuffing procedures). Also, the black officer is slow to respond to the evolving situation and has to be told to secure his weapon and then the suspect’s weapon which he holds as if it’s a dirty diaper.
That folks is the real world and things happen that quick and it is not like TV.
Now, I remember back 50 years where I saw a man hit in the right thing with a .45 caliber projectile. There was a hole in his jeans and no blood (seconds after the hit). I had him pull his pants down instead of cutting them off. He remained upright, until we covered it. A wild round from somewhere in front of us had hit him.
Centered in the thigh was a 50 cent diameter gelatin-looking depression with fat and almost no blood. Nick a finger while cutting a carrot would deliver more blood than this wound. The next day the docs cut it out. It didn’t hardly bleed even then. A drain tube for 5 weeks and he was back in business. We were lucky as we were standing side by side as the slug came whizzing in. Had it been gut level we could easily have been killed.
Your not comparing apples to apples. Ammo today is not what it was 50 yrs ago. And catching a stray bullet isn’t the same as being shot at effective handgun range. Your scenario is the exception rather than a rule. MINIMUM FBI penetration requirement is 12″ AFTER going through heavy clothing….most well surpass that….and if we are talking about a 357 SIG (considering that this guy was NOT wearing heavy clothing) then a pass through is MUCH more likely than not. And full penetration is preferred since it increases blood loss causing incapacitation quicker if a more vital hit isn’t made/isn’t possible. Your arguments don’t hold water. Plus you over estimate the honesty of your government and media. And being a govt employee most of my life, I know better.

I was shot with a 40 in the hip 2in from my manhood the bullet split the difference in it and my artery i didnt bleed but a couple drops on my draws i was still standing the whole time till i got in the car to go to er a whole lotta pain started about halfway to hospital when i arive the nerse wasnt very concerned when i told her i had been shot (she thought it was a bb cause of the lack of blood) 10 minutes later i ask what the problem was sbe said its just a bb i said b i got shot with a glock. Thats all i knew at the time,didnt know what caliber yet.and her eyes got big and sh3 finaly spung into action and left the paperwork where it was i was rushed back and cloths cut off and the worst most painful part a catheter, real painful. So theres not always alot of external bleeding but i had a canalope size (package for about a month where the blood and bruising was inside ) yea it was a bad month

Bogus video….a Gun shot to the abdomen but there is not blood. This appears to be a “training video” and nothing more
What? GSWs don’t always bleed any significant amount. A GSW to the stomach area can leave a relatively small amount of external bleeding. The real danger is to the internal organs. His wound can’t be too great considering he appeared in court soon after. No major blood vessels hit. A torso puncture wound and perhaps a perforating stomach or intestine wounds given quick care and anti-biotics are survivable. After all, 80% of those shot with handguns survive the wound(s).
The Bad Odor administration will go to any length, to present The Gun as the Bad Guy even making this film. Lets see how about the one about Bad Odors failed foreign policy where four people were killed in a United States embassy. Problem stemmed from a video on line. Only a Dumbocrat would consider that to be the truth.

It is likely that there is just a small hole. NOT open. OR, it has fat leaking out, sealing the hole. Minor bleeding to the outside is most likely.

A nut in broad daylight, armed with a pistol goes to the White House saying he’s going to kill people, so he gets shot. Nuts under such conditions can still shoot. They can get shot quite easily as is shown. It shows why a pistol is so good as it takes longer to grab a long gun. Quick response. A very bad stomach ache for the nut.

Former Vietnam Vet. Bullet wounds will often not bleed. They leave a very small entry wound. In a fatty stomach- like the subject here- the bleeding is internal. The bullet designs today are not likely to exit on ‘thick’ people. You don’t want it to exit and wound someone else. This is not Hollywood special effects – which is the extent of your wound experience given your comments above.
Sorry you are a former Vietnam Vet….maybe you should be a current Vietnam Vet. I am a current veteran of a couple of wars. No need to go into more detail. My experience has nothing to do with glorified movies. Only real trauma. As I said, if he were hit with modern ammo(expanding high velocity HP ammo that SS and LE use) there is no question it would have gone through and a lot more blood would have been visible. We are not talking old style style FMJ bullets. Modern ammo is serious stuff…..and it will penetrate unless it encounters enough bone to make it stop. In the abdomen, the only real bone is the spine. A spinal shot…and his legs would not be moving….he would not be tucking and rolling or catching himself while falling. Just to many things wrong for this to be real. I hate repeating myself.
What? It would have gone through? Why? It is not a desired effect/action. The idea is to have a bullet expand inside the target and NOT perforate the body. A bullet that passes through the subject can hit others. That is not a desired action. That is why the FBI stressed full expansion and stopping inside the wound.
Correct. A small entrance wound 9 or .40 (no difference really, will self-seal in the fatty gut. Internal bleeding is the threat to his life. Fast surgery and he’ll do fine. No perforation of the body is ideal. Chances are a knife wound would bleed much more – except they don’t always bleed much either. I treated an unconscious stabbing victim and there was almost no external bleeding. At the same time another officer was on a shooting where a 9mm FMJ bullet hit a guy in the butt cheek. Very little blood as well.

Yeah….something awefully fishy about this whole thing for sure! No blood at all, made sure to catch himself while falling, no pressure on the wound by the cop to control bleeding, convenient angle of the camera, if his body absorbed any type of modern ammo and it only hit soft tissue and passed through there would be noticeable blood loss….if the bullet was stopped by the spine he would have dropped a lot differently(not tucked and rolled) plus he wouldn’t be kicking his legs with spinal damage. Sorry, this whole thing is fake IMO. Looks more like a training exercise. Even the other cops reactions seems off. And only one shot with all those cops there? Hmmm…..? How many coincidences does it take before something isn’t a coincidence?
Yep, I agree with your observation; something is stinky. If the shot had come from the sniper from front; that hole in his t-shirt would have been huge.
It was a pistol shot from a few feet away. When did a sniper get involved? This was job done by gate guards.
Get a picture of the White House, look at where the cameras are pointed. This was a gate, so it was covered by a camera (likely 3 of them).
I’m having a hard time believing he wasn’t wearing body armor of some kind. He clutches his stomach and there’s no blood on his hands or shirt. Something’s fishy about this story the way it’s presented.
Secret service still carry SIG P229s in 357SIG, ballistically equivalent to a .357 magnum (give or take a few ft-lbs).
As a physician, I’ve seen patients who have been shot with a variety of calibers. If he had been hit that close, no effing way he would have simply been “treated for the wound” by paramedics; more like he’d catch a ride to the closest ER en route to the OR, with several weeks of hospitalization to follow.
