VooDoo Innovations Optics-Ready Glock Slides Now Shipping

VooDoo Innovations, VDI, sister company to Adams Arms, is releasing a new series of Glock-compatible pistol slide assemblies for the 9mm Luger Glock 17 and Glock 19. Made for the two most popular Glock pistols on the market, these slide assemblies add more than a few welcome features and have a sleek, futuristic style, and are shipping now.

Pistols with red dot sights are becoming more popular every day, and not just with the practical-tactical crowd. These guns are easy to aim and fast to get on target making them excellent all-around, from competition to self-defense.

The VooDoo Innovations slide assemblies offer improved accuracy with their custom match-grade barrels. The barrels are extended and threaded and come with a thread protector with a knurled ring and wrench flats, and they have 1/2×28 threads which is standard for most 9mm accessories and suppressors.

VooDoo is launching with three assemblies to start, with more in the works including other barrel length options. All three models have aggressive slide serrations front and rear along the angled slide. The angled cuts eliminate the boxy look Glock pistols are famous for and add a huge amount of grip surface for ease of slide manipulation as well as lightening the assembly to reduce felt recoil.

The three models to start are the Brawler, a slide with all the improved features including raised steel suppressor sights, the Enforcer, the optics-ready version of the Brawler with a cutout for a micro red dot sight and Slayer, which is a package deal including an Enforcer assembly and factory-installed red dot sight of your choice.

The flagship Slayer assembly also comes with tritium night sights in addition to the red dot sight. Both of the red dot-ready models come with a cover plate to fill the gap in the slide when not using an optic and the suppressor sights, by XS Systems, will cowitness with red dot sights. VooDoo’s slides are compatible with a wide range of red dot sights including the Burris Fastfire 3, C-MOR STS, EOTech MRDS, Leupold Deltapoint Pro, Trijicon RMR and the Vortex Venom, Viper and Razor.

XS Systems manufactures fast-acquisition gun sights that use the express system, developed originally for dangerous game rifles. These sights have a large bead front sight and a wide v-notch rear. The sights pair well with red dots and are easy to pick up through an optic in case of an optic failure, and the oversize front sight useful even with very large suppressors that block even tall sight pictures.

Every VooDoo Innovations slide assembly will come with three recoil springs for the recoil spring assembly, a standard-weight spring, a heavy spring for over-pressure ammo and a lightened spring for shooting subsonic ammo.

The barrels, slide assemblies and the spring assemblies have a high-polish nitride finish. VooDoo Innovations uses an in-house quench-polish-quench nitride finish called LifeCoat that’s proven to be corrosion- and wear-resistant and moderately self-lubricating. Other finishes will be available as well including nickel-boron and physical vapor deposition, or PVD.

Please have the lady presenter slow down and so she can pronounce more clearly with her delivery. The back ground loud music with a leading base does not help. Keep your exciting and motivating music for before and after presentation. Use the music to present the presenter and let her deliver the good news clearly and understandably to your audience. When she changes her angle of head, it affects the airway and vocal cords. The result is poor or diminished enunciation and entonation. It does not help if sound waves are bouncing around creating conflict and inconsistency for a clear delivery to your potential customer.

I am confused and have returned to hear the presentation several times and still do not understand clearly your product benefits and features beyond a “cool” looking slide. Do I want or need your product? Please add views looking down your V sites vs Glock’s sites. Please explain further the need for your recoil springs. You should have only one. It is confusing. Which one do i need and what for.

I just need an accurate pistol for carry, practice shooting, with ease of aim for accuracy either with laser or dot or both. I am 70 and now appreciate a good grip for my large hands and ease of funtional carry with 9mm calibers. I got rid of .40 and .45 and up.heavy recoil calibers with an easier rack of the slide. Glock 4th, Walther, SIG and others now claim less recoil, improved accuracy with their “special” competition standard barrels, and an easier or softer rack of the rail. How does your’s improve on these competitors statements?

I am just trying to sell myself on one of your rails but still don’r know which one to choose. My wife and I have the 4th 19 and 17. Racking the rail is an issue to her. So I am sold on the ergonomics of your slides. But what about accuracy, do we need a new barrel? WE shoot pretty good. How do you measure improvement with your barrel, in inches over Glock’s?. You claim less recoil. Do you have a table on perceived pounds of recoil vs Glock’s?

I am 70 and a retired government official, collector, raised on a farm and shooting since childhood. Former pilot Captain, BS in agronomy, BA History and MBA. Please help me choose one of your cool and seemingly functional slides.

Just FYI, you state that these fit both the G17 and G19. However, looking at their web site, the G19 is NOT listed as one of the supported models.

What is the price for each of these slides and when does production for the Glock 34 begin?
