Authors S.H. Blannelberry

The preface disclaimer to the video reads “The following video contains the opinion of an NRA News commentator and does not necessarily reflect the views of other individuals or organizations”. I think this video is ridiculous. Does the NRA really want this being presented in their name?

My disclaimer: I stopped watching at 1:25. I don’t like this video because….

    First, consider a substantive error:
Look at the example Mr. Noir gives about “transfers” and “Soccer Moms”.
Following an attempted home invasion, Soccer Mom1 buys a handgun for protection. Reasonable and proper thus far; however, Mr. Noir goes on to declare in the video that if Soccer Mom1 hands her concerned female friend Soccer Mom2 the recently purchased “unloaded Glock so she can get a feel for it; THAT’ AN ILLEGAL TRANSFER [emphasis added]” The implication is that I-594 is an insane bill that criminalizes routine and reasonable, non-threatening behavior. Absurd.

Much nearer to the TRUTH is Mr. S. H. Blannelberry’s November 21, 2014 article “Background Check Law Forces Museum to Return WWII Rifles”. There you may read that “I-594 has some exceptions, such as gifts between immediate family members, antiques and relics, temporary transfers for self-defense, and loans for lawful hunting or sporting activities. ”
Reading that list of codified exceptions including “temporary transfers for self defense” puts the lie to Mr. Noir alarmist exaggeration that handing an unloaded gun to a friend “is an illegal transfer.”

Second objection is Mr. Noir’s blatant attempt to paint the entire “common sense gun legislation” as anything but common sense since “it takes eighteen pages to explain” and contrasts that to “Albert Einstein explained the theory of relativity using Mariah Carey’s initials and the number 2”. That sound bite really demonstrates how little Mr. Noir knows about Mr. Einstein’s theory. For a fuller picture of the theory, check out this photo of Mr. Einstein’s real explanation.

In summary, my opinion is that such thoughtless drivel as this video hurts law abiding citizens’ efforts to preserve and protect our Second Amendment rights. When we present our case, let us tell the truth and stand by it. That will keep us free.

And that’s my critique of the first 1:25.

Be careful on what you vote for, don’t let the liberal snowflake cockroaches that will breed with anyone just to show their rainbow strips ruin you beautiful state. We here in Commiefornia have the rights granted to us by the 2nd A trashed under the veil of public safety.

I can hear the success stories now:
“I was considering taking my dad’s assault rifle (because of its high-capacity magazines) and automatic Glock handgun in order to vent my first-world rage. I’d planned to shoot a couple dozen people in a public area here in Washington before turning the gun on myself in a final act of self-destruction and inevitable media fame. But turns out it’s a felony to take the guns, so I’ll just write some angry poems and cut my forearms instead.”

OUTSTANDING!!! The Devil is always in the details. You can bet gun haters supported this as another method to hurt and restrict everyone who own a firearm: dictating what you can do with your personel property. “SOFT” gun owners didn’t bother to read it to see what impact it would have on them, bets are they thought whats so bad about checks on sales and didn’t have a clue about the rest of the restrictions imposed. For decades WA has followed CAs path on firearms. Change the law, change the politicians or bail out! Do you know FL now allowes silencers for all hunting? Leave the rain and come enjoy the sunshine and Second Ammendment.
