Custom shop ZEV Technologies is happy to announce its new Z365 Octane Gunmod, a boutique take on the wildly popular SIG Sauer P365 everyday carry pistol. They’ve gone all-in with some of the most demanded upgrades with the Z365 that’s available online and in stores now.
ZEV takes the basic P365 and modified the slide, frame and internals to make a completely modern self-defense handgun. The micro-compact is optics-ready with its Octane slide cut for slim mini red dot sights including the Shield RMSc and SIG Romeo Zero.
In addition to the optics relief, the slide is fully textured with wide serrations along both sides, front and rear. On top the slide is serrated to reduce glare, and the pistol comes with a front fiber optic sight and rear combat sights.
Included with the titanium grey Octane slide is a premium ZEV Pro barrel with a black diamond-like coating completing the two-tone look. The frame has a laser-stippled diamond pattern that fully wraps and enhances the grip for better purchase.
All of these features combine to make a premium, semi-custom Z365 out of the already very popular and highly successful P365. A striker-fired, polymer-framed compact for everyday carry, the Z365 is of course chambered for 9mm Luger and has a standard capacity of 10+1 rounds using flush-fitting magazines.
The pistol has a standard-length slide and 3.1-inch barrel, measures in at just under 6 inches long and a hair over 4 inches tall. It’s just a hair over an inch wide and weighs less than 18 ounces unloaded.
SIG offers a solid spread of magazine options for these including 10-round magazines with extended floorplates for shooters with larger hands and 12-round and even 15-round extended magazines, sold separately.
The Z365 Octane ships with two 10-round extended floorplate mags and is compatible with the extended magazines as well.

With a list price of $1,199, that is to be expected. While these are quite a bit more expensive than standard P365 pistols, they also offer a lot to shooters looking for the best features available for modern defensive handguns. Also, real-world and online pricing is often less than MSRP.

Zev, a company known for outstanding triggers did nothing with the horrible trigger on the 365? I own one 365 and it has a 7.5 pound trigger, the only solution i know of is to send it to Texas to “The Sig Armor” and pay him over $300 including shipping to fix the horrible trigger it left the factory with.
Why isn’t apex, zev or anybody else making kits to correct this issue?
MCARBO makes and sells a $40 spring kit to upgrade the trigger pull. It works quite well and drops the pull a couple pounds, feels MUCH better. The install is a bit of a project, but the end result is very good
I still don’t understand why they won’t put a picatinny rail on the 365!
It’s hard to justify the price with the modifications when the original P365 is a perfect carry weapon.
Have they extnded the magazine release button? For me, that would be the most desirable P365 upgrade!
