This is an all original, Colt Single Action Army Revolver in .45 LC, shipped to H. D. Folsom Arms Co., New York, October 4, 1876 (serial #23xxx). The gun is overall in the 40% finish range, with some blue in protected areas, trigger guard and back strap. It has generalized pitting over the whole piece, being somewhat worse on the left side. All the pitting is very shallow. This gun came from the southeast, so has probably experienced some humidity over the years. The gun is extremely tight and has a very good bore. The inside was evidently kept oiled, and it shows little use. The one piece walnut grips are very good, with probably 95% of their original varnish. It is a fine original Colt civilian issue, with all correct markings for the era, and factory letter. We will consider partial value in trade (fine side by sides and over & unders, among others), and can take VISA or MasterCard for an additional 4% fee. We'll also consider trade for U.S. silver and gold coins at spot value.
